Diva, you look so young, I would never had guessed.
My dd turned 21 last summer. but she had her own plans!

I had my hystorectomy about the same age. don't miss a thing! dd is jeolous! she wants one too!

I have to say you are all someone for me to look up to. You have all done so well with you life changes. (not Just the weight thingy either.)
I just hope I can do as well.

Am I really supposed to have up to 1600 cal? I keep seeing how all of you eat so much less and I get worried I am doing this wrong.

Me bad!! Had lean cuisien pizza. ate the whole thing too. with 2 cups of pea pods.

littlered, you should be able to easily lose plenty on 1600, that is low and good! We all need to do things that work for us, and obviously you need/want 1600 and that's fine. Some need less and they may or may not lose faster because of it. But it takes time to put on weight and there's nothing wrong with taking your time to get it off. Dont compare yourself to others. Most of my weight loss journey I've eaten more than 1700 per day, just as a comparison.

The lean cuisine pizza couldnt have been too bad, especially if it fits into your calorie allotment for the day. I eat pizza regularly, but I only get one slice of thin crusted pizza at a shop around the corner so I use this when I'm running around and can't get anything else. But I view it as a fairly healthy option, as long as you dont add extra cheese and toppings like pepperoni.

I also agree that 1600 calories a day is just fine for many here! It all depends on how much you weigh now, your genetics, how much you exercise, how active you are daily, how much you have lost already...so many variables!

A lot of those here you see that are eating 1100-1300 calories a day are either very near goal, or they zig zag their calories. (Eating a lower number one day, like 1100, and then a higher number like 1600 the next day.)

Don't worry about how many calories everyone else is eating. Some women can eat 1800-2000 calories a day at first and lose 1-2 pounds a week-if they are starting out very overweight. Someone who only has 10 pounds to lose, however, cannot start out that high in most cases.

Miz Claudia,

A Diva is not booty call material. You kidding, girl? Come on! Yeah... he calls and calls and calls.

The dating scene is fine but you know, I'm so looking forward to having time to myself that I'm not sure I want to pursue that. Dinner here, movie there, but I don't want all the intimate junk that comes with it.

I may never have another chance to be completely alone (next relationship may be the KEEPER) so I just feel I have to take advantage of this time and be totally selfish.

But booty call? Uh uh... Not THIS girl!

;-)

Littlered,

You're sweet!

I'm 47 (I thought my age was posted here somewhere). Kids are 28, 26, 21, and 18. Grandson is 5 months old, and a joy you can't imagine.

I attribute my youthful looks to my divorce ten years ago, and can't imagine what being single again will do for me. Especially after I quit smoking.

Something to look forward to. That, and watching my daughter pull her hairs out when her son decides he's smarter than she is!

;-)

WOW, I have only read one page and you all already answered one question I had.

I am new to calorie counting and I realize it is a learning process. For the last three years I have been on a program, well I should say tried to follow a program and decided that 40 lbs over three years was great but there must be something else I could be doing. So, after a few months of research decided to try healthy eating and calorie counting.

That said I have to get going but I will be back tomorrow to join in and read your previous pages if you don't mind another chatter.

Thanks!

Calories today were 957 with 31% coming from fat.

Got dressed to go to the gym but my legs said no. So we're going tomorrow. They are so sore! We are having snow Saturday so my race got moved to Sunday, which means... I can run tomorrow with gusto and still have Saturday to rest!

I love it when winter weather works in my favor!

I stuck around 1250 cals yesterday which makes my average for a week more like 1650 which is better. Yes, I do have to watch that creep. It's very easy to zag more than I zig.

You guys are just too funny. Hysterical Tommys and stiff and hard haystatcks. And then of course there's the booty calls. Thank goodness I've been married for 21 years. That's all I can say on the booty call matter. Thank goodness.

Diva, you do look amazing though - 4 kids, never mind the wear on tear on your body just giving birth to them, but the actual damage that takes place RAISING them and then cancer. I don't know, I just don't know how you do it. Do your parents also look very youthful? Are they in good shape. G-d willing they are still with you?

Mami, I am really glad you're liking that elliptical of yours and I am so happy you are finally less hungry on less calories. Boy you sure stuck it out. I hope it works out for you.

Thursday's calories - about 1100.

Have a great day ladies.

I came in really, really low yesterday--663. Going out for dinners and lunches for the next three days, so I needed to "save up" just a tad. Weight is down this morning, but I'm certain that it is from being so low in calories yesterday. I would like it to hold, but it may not.
