Good Evening Everyone Just thought I would drop in and say Hi!
Well my son raced last night and he won!!! It was so exciting and such the fathers day gift for DH as he raced for over 15 years then decided it was time for the kids to race. I don't know who was more excited DH or son.
Angeline I am sure you will do fine this week and lose the weight that you gained no problem, you will have to keep us informed on the P90X.
Cheree Hope you are having fun while in Denver and great job on getting your fruits and veggies instead of junk and convenient foods
Taragettingthin wow I just couldn't handle your schedule I am so morning person but not at all an night person and then to top it off a single mom, you are doing an awesome job with it all so keep it up, it is all worth it
ggmugsy exercise thread let us know what you get figured out I think I need something as well, otherwise I slack and maybe think 30 min is enough when I should be doing like 60
Well I did get to go riding today about 300 miles gone for about 10 hours because we had to stop and gamble at a few casinos I only lost $1.00 so not bad at all for a whole day out, I did get alittle sun today as well I did put sunblock on but didn't keep up with it so I got alittle red. Well I will check back in tomorrow morning. Good Night
Well... I'm back on to see what's new. I did get to put in more than 30 minutes of 30-Day Shred today...although I wasn't able to follow GG's advice because my little one decided to wake up right as I started exercising. She let me finish 30-Day Shred, though, which I am very thankful.
So I did 30 minutes of 30-Day Shred, 30 minutes of Cardio Party (the last Latin routine by Ally is just so boring and too slow for me..so I skipped it), and 20 minutes of Pilates. My tummy is still tingling from Pilates ab work-out. Since it's been about a week since I've done over 60 mintues of workout on one day, we will see how it feels tomorrow.
I am not sure what my weight would be like on Monday, though. Usually I can tell.. I kinda can feel but not this time. So we will see. A loss would def be nice.
Hello ladies! And, Happy Fathers Day to any lurkers on here who may be men) We are going to a Bar-b-q at a friends house this evening. I'm excited!
Things have gotten so busy around here lately. We are in the process of going in to business (photography) with a friend of ours. We are just in the beginning stages of it - so paperwork abounds! But it is so fun! We can't wait to just get everything up and running with it.
Sorry this is so short but my mother-in-law just came in asking me a JILLION questions about stuff that I have no clue about. So, I must now try to go figure it out... ugh!!!!
Good morning! I did my first workout of 30 days shred yesterday, felt good.. Will do it again later today.. Today the scale showed 143 .. I lose a lot of pound those last days.. It's because I am in a new country, with new food.. I just don't eat so much more than I really need.. I mean, I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, but almost nothing between.. just some fruits.. As long as I'm not hungry it's ok.. In sweden I used to eat some extra sandwiches in the evening,, and some cookies and stuff like that..
Manick - Girlfriend . . . you're good for me!! After hearing the details about our friend Jim's diseased liver I am starting a 30 day, love my liver period!! NO ALCOHOL!!! Today is day 1!!
Well just wanted to stop in quick and say HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!! I did get my workout in today and also took my newphew dog for a walk and I have also did some housework today. But now I need to try to get at least an hour nap in before we leave to go racing again tonight and hopefully he will repeat what he did Friday night!!!!wishing wishing wishing....
Well everyone have a great day and I will talk later.
Thanks ggmugsy for the exercise challenge checking it out shortly. No alcohol for a month I could probably do that but it would be challenge over the 4th of July, good luck
Mugsy...good for YOU! You might want to consider taking a milk thistle cap every day this month too...AND you might be pleasantly surprised what your body will do! Google "milk thistle" and "alcohol" and you will get a host of information. "Toxin and milk thistle" too. A lot of people use it just to support the liver regularly while eating the average "crappy" American diet. You are wise to think about giving your liver a rest from time to time. It does a lot of work for you
It is VERY hard, I'm right there with you on that, it's (wine especially) such a trigger for me of relaxation, good food...too much eating...more good food...well, you get the picture! I resisted having free Coronas this week...not sure if I can always do that, but a happy scale experience is carrying me right now!
Oolong congrats on the loss! That is very exciting! You might be the biggest loser this week?!
Reda pretty cool about your son! Glad his dad was pleased
theresia I am slightly jealous Enjoy your months there! And good job eating well.
Happy dad's day chicks, to the fathers in your life. I am off in a bit to see my dad. The sun is FINALLY out here so I am happy and sunshiny, except I've had an odd stomach ache for 2 days...thinking I had too much soy on Friday , I'm kinda allergic...so I will have to cool it on the soy this week! I am drinking lots of water to help whatever it is get OUT of me!
God evening, I just did my second 30DayShred workout. Went well. I will do Level 1 for 10 days, then level 2 x 10 and then level 3 x 10.
Today I took photos of myself wearing bikini, To have something to compare with when the 15 pounds that are left are gone,, Forever!! http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...75#post2227375 here you can see it,, Hopefully the 15 pounds will be gone by the end of this challenge!!
Hi Black Team:
Just letting everyone know that I am not affected by the floods, at least my house is high and dry, and I haven't lost any thing to the floods. However we are living in a major disaster area. All the bridges over the Iowa river have been closed for over a week, we are cut off from the southern part of the state, the northern part of the state, and any where else we might want to go. close to 100 thousand people have been evacuated or had to leave their homes due to the flooding. People who live in the 500 year flood planes have lsot everything, and people who are miles from the river have had it come to their homes. Flood stage in Cedar Rapids is 12 feet, the river topped out at over 31 feet. The sad part is that most people don;t have flood insurance and have lost everything they own.
In Iowa City the Univercity of Iowa is taking a big hit. The art museum, which I just visited a few weeks ago had water to just under the roof. They had works by Andrew Pollak, Grant Wood, and Marvin Cone in their collection. I believe they got everything out, but I'm not sure. The University library is hit hard, and the recently remodeled student union is under water. Many businesses are destroyed, and lots of people are out of work. Those businesses that aren't efeected are also closed because people can't get to work or else there is not water avaiable to run the businesses. People are requested to not use water for anything except drinking, no baths or flushing toilets because of water treatment plants and wells being under water. The National guard is called out and are doing all they can, but sandbags haven't held a lot of the water back.
One of the biggest sacrifices I've heard about is the Old Chicago restaurant in Coralville Iowa. When the manager realized that they couldn't build a sandbag wall high enough to keep the estimated 6 feet of water that was going to get in his restaurant he had his employees take the sandbags down and use them to help save a business further away from the river.
And the weather isn't helping we are having nightly storms, yesterday afternoon whe had wind and hail, my garden looks really sad, I don't know if I'll be able to harvest any of those yummy veges. None of the farmers nearby have been able to plant all their feilds, so many are underwater, not just those near the floods, but they are soaked from all the rains.
I'm sorry for being so negative, I would just like everyone to say a prayer of all those people who are losing everything they own. The good part is that so far there hasn't been any deaths from the floods.
Bette K
Thank you for the update BetteK. I've wondered if any of our friends here on 3fc had been affected by the floods. Sending a prayer to all living in the area.
Theresia- You are looking good great job keep up the good work and you will be there in no time!!!
Manick- Thanks a bunch and tonight he also got a 2nd so not a bad weekend at all, he is doing so well for being only 18 years old.
Bette K- I was wondering if you were being affected I live in SD just along the IA border about 60 miles for Little Sioux where the tornado hit Wednesday at the boy scout camp such a tragic thing that happened there. I see lots of pictures of the flooding going on and I just couldn't imagine..We do along the Vermillion River actually right behind our house but we do have farmable land between our house and the river, it is high but no threat of it reaching our house right now. Glad everything is okay your way and sending lots of prayers...
oolong- Congrats on the weight loss that is awesome
Well hope everyone had a great day and talk to you tomorrow
Just stopping by to check in real quick before going to sleep.
I used to "live" on 3FC while at work but they just started being strict about web usage so I think I'm going to lay low for awhile while at work...
Since it's difficult for me to check in during day time, I wanted to do so before going to sleep. (I just got home about 10 minutes ago from work)
It's my weigh-in when I wake up; hopefully I lost this week...

Good morning all,
Going to take a freebie week this week. We had hotdogs last night - what was I thinking the day before weigh in???? The rest of the week is good, healthy food. Including a purple artichoke I picked up that I'll have to check the other thread to see how to prepare.
Bette - thanks for your post. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone who is suffering right now. Makes me stop and realize how grateful I should be for what I have.
I will have to jump on your new challenge mugsy - thanks for setting it up.
I had a very blah, who-gives-a-crap week and didn't even make it on here to WI this week...I didn't WI at all I didn't do anything crazy, didn't binge, but wasn't exercising and just relaxing. A lot of stress had been building up and I feel a big release now, so maybe i just needed to stop worrying over everything and catch my breath. I am back now and feeling stronger than ever. I will WI tomorrow morning and see what, if any, damage a week of not caring has done.
Bette k--So glad you are safe from the floods it must be hard though, with chaos all around you. Stay strong, safe, and dry.
mugsy--looks like a good challenge good luck. I am off calorie counting and following Dr. Oz's book starting today. i read it during my lazy week, and a lot of it just really makes sense to me. He says it becomes habit after 2 weeks, so I will give him 2 weeks and see what happens. I will LOVE not having to count calories ever again, so we'll see. Anyone else doing stuff from his book?
Theresia--You are looking good girl...another 15 you'll be smokin' hot. Keep going.
I can't wait to hear more from all of you...I am glad to be back around here, refocused.
