Boy, today's workout was HARD. Well, not the workout itself as much as MAKING myself get on the bike and STAY on the bike for a full 60 minutes. I'm feeling a little blue today - more relationship problems.
Still, I got on the bike and stayed on!!! My main motivator? After about 1/2 hour of huffing and puffing I took my shirt off (I work out at home) to cool down a bit and looked down at my belly and noticed that the little roll right under my bra strap is GETTING SMALLER. I was so tickled!!! So, everytime I wanted to quit I would just look down and notice this change in my body. Nothing like seeing progress to motivate ourselves to keep on going, huh? :-)

I am now on my way to the grocer to purchase lots of yummy veggies to roast and broccoli to make soup.
Well, I got to the gym this morning early, only to find out I was there almost a half hour before they opened!!! I almost just turned around and went home. Instead, I pulled out my ipod and took a brisk walk OUTSIDE for 33 minutes. I had no coat and it was only 44 degrees, but it was nice and I'm glad I did. Then it was on to the weight machines for 20 minutes.
Yesterday I had the immense pleasure of taking a walk in sunny, 70 degree weather! I am SO excited for spring, although I know that here in NY I need to wait a little bit longer (I was outside of DC). We walked for about 30 minutes, which makes my total 492.
I will be back later tonight after I do something today.
OK, only another 40 minutes of serious walking to add, but taking the stairs down to walk the puppy for every potty break for two days (including the ones at 2 am, 4 am, 5:30 am...) OUGHT to count for something, right Lilion?
Pretty standard day... 25 mins on treadmill and 25 mins on bike. Have really enjoyed the workout on the home gym the past couple of days, but can understand why you need to rest in between workouts. I don't even work that hard, or that long, but I can feel muscles today when I move particular ways, so I assume that they would like a rest.
Personal Goal... 885 - 50 = 835 mins to go for March
Well, I don't know if I should count the exercise I did this last week before I was participating here. And yesterday was my rest day.
But this morning I went for a 30 minute walk and did 10 minutes on the stability ball for a total of 40 minutes.
Well, with a load of grading staring me in the face, I went ahead and exercised. As I did, my back started bothering me some, but not enough to stop. I'm tired of making excuses for not exercising. So, I gutted out 31 minutes on the treadmill. Today it was not fun, but I did it anyway. I guess I need to do that more, but right now I'm grumpy about it.
Today was very good exercise-wise! I did:
40 mins cardio dance
10 mins weight lifting/crunches
10 mins Pilates
Total: 60 mins.
Had never done Pilates before, and it about killed me! LOL
Brings my total to 445 minutes for the month so far.

I made it for 8 minutes on the elliptical - who knows, maybe I'll get to 10 by the end of the week? Then I did 32 minutes on the treadmill. That makes my total 582.
