Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I'm going to start my month's exercising tomorrow, I think I'll be up for it then. I know I can catch up!! Great start everyone, keep moving!!!!!
Hope you're feeling MUCH better soon Wyllen. Don't feel as though you have to exercise until you are definitely up to it.
Same old... same old... for me today. 25 mins on treadmill, 25 on bike and 15 of resistance training. (Almost typed 'straining' then, which would be about right I suppose) I'm hoping to get a couple of walks in over the next couple of days. It's going to be really hot (close to 100F) so we will definitely want to get the walking in nice and early.
Personal Goal... 1535 - 65 = 1470
Group Total... 879 + 65 = 944

well I walked for about 8.5 hrs yesterday when I went into the city. I AM however going to count 60 minutes of it since I went to the harbour and walked there for a bit of time. Different surroundings It is quite beautiful outside today so I think I will be going out again this afternoon. Hubby and I talked this morning about weights and I think we are going to go and buy some today. All I have are 1lb and 3lb and they are little dumbell type things and I find it REALLY boring. Going to try to do some of the bigger ones (5-10-15lbs) to see if I like it any more. Steve will use them too so if I don't then no harm and they won't be a waste of money.
We treked through the NYC subway system and walked multi blocks to get to our event. I am going to say 30 minutes for all that walking, which puts my total at 195.
I finally got started on my March goal today! I was sick to start Feb and played catch up, and now the same for March. My walk on the treadmill was tough -- I started coughing quite a bit and almost quit 6 min in, but then I slowed down the speed and incline -- back to what I did shortly after I'd started up -- and was fine. It occurred to me then, that I am healthier now, able to do more, recovering from the flu, than I was 6 months ago when I weighed 50 pounds more!!. I ended up walking for 52 minutes (thereabouts -- dropped my ipod and turned off the treadmill in the process! oops!)
That and back exercises gives me 62 minuites today...
I slept in a little this morning, so after the markets and watching hubby do some practice golf shots, it was WAY too hot for us to go for a walk. So, instead, I walked on the treadmill for the hour, but at a slower pace, similar to what we would do on one of our walks. I am hoping to get out nice and early tomorrow morning for a walk before going to the zoo.
So, 60 mins on treadmill and 25 mins on exercise bike.
Personal Goal... 1470 - 85 = 1385
Group Total... 1276 + 85 = 1361
