Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I need to quit smoking because it has been the biggest thing keeping me from exercising

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm the largest I've ever been and sick of feeling like crap about myself and assuming everyone is staring at me. It's begninng to affect my sex life, my social life etc and I'm tired of it.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I'm a very hearty eater. Chocolate and McDonalds are my kryptonite, and it's going to be harder to remove them from my diet than it should be.
I also lack motivation to work out, because I hate exercising alone, and I don't have any friends that are willing to go jogging or walking with me on a regular basis. My mom's friend was at one point stalked when she went on her morning jogs in my neighbourhood, and that now has me paranoid from doing my exercise alone. All of that leads to my couch-potato, or rather computer chair-potato, lifestyle.
Following any specific plan: Gradually cutting back on the fast food and candy, going for a jog/walk as often as I can, and just generally eating healthy.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: The gradual cutting out of fast food, and different exercise methods. I can't afford to go to the gym at the moment, so I'm going to try and take advantage of the hilly terrain of my neighbourhood and do my jogging and walking there, that is, if I can find the willpower to do it on a regular basis.

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Well, I started the downhill journey in March 2007. Lost about 60lbs. Went off plan into what I'd call maintenance for about 7 months. Didn't gain any weight back! Phew.

Following any specific plan: Lots of exercise and water drinking. I stick to mostly whole foods, lowish in carbs/fat. So basically, I eat alot of lean meats, veggies and some dairy. I do eat the good carbs like fruit and the vegs.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I restarted April 23rd of this year for good. I want to get the weight off and get cozy in maintenance. I really believe in myself this time around.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: cutting back on all the sodium and sweets. Inever knew that sodium was that bad, but now i know.
Following any specific plan: Eat around 1200 cals a day and exercise, i walk 8 hours at work so i get good exercise there, and i dance around the house for about 2 hours a day on my day off while cleaning
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: this is the first time i have stuck to it more than a week, I love weiging in because i can actually see a difference. I can't weight till i am 199, I think i will be happy.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: This time I realize that it really sucks gaining it back and you just have to work twice as hard all over again.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I haven't been on this site since February 2006. I went from 183 to 140, 43 pounds lost!!! However, I gained some back as I went off track. I'm now 165 (gained 15 lbs) and ready to lose that and more! My Last Introduction Here...

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: i'm actually putting effort in to it this time. making ALL of the needed changes - food, excercise, and setting goals.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Stress...and just life really got in the way. It actually helped a bit for a few years..but that isn't the healthiest way to do it.
Following any specific plan: I have had GREAT success with slimfast, but a few months back I decided to switch stuff up ... just eatig healthy...sticking to around 1400 calories and working out at least four times a week.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I'm getting married in October...and I really hope that the rest of my life I will be in a healthy Onderland shape. I don't want to constantly have to look back at wedding pictures and be reminded.

Ummmm...my Fiance' name is Steve btw. We meet at an all boys party that I crashed with a friend of mine over a year ago. He actually semi-dated my friend for a couple of weeks...they didn't work out, but she knew we would be just perfect together. They set us up. I wasn't for it at first... it just seemed wrong. I am now very greateful! Steve is wonderful!
