What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have "settled" with my new heavier weight for the past 2 years, but my best friend is getting married soon and I want to be able to enjoy myself, not worry about how I look.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I've never really paid attention to my weight before. I was skinny up until I had my kids and then never lost the baby fat. From there, I kept adding to it. I went to the Dr in June for the first time in 3 years and stepped on the scale and about died from shock. I knew I was out of shape and heavy, but the number scared me. So did the bloodwork. I am pre-diabetic and have to change it NOW!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am not getting younger, its now i need to lose weigh, so it will be easier for me to maintain it. I dont want to be in the corner all the time, while my friends are having fun. I want to enjoy my time as a young adult before i settle down.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I am an emotional eater but it is not specific to one emotion. when I am happy I eat, when I am sad I eat, when I am nervous I eat, etc. I know my triggers but it is hard to control.
Following any specific plan: No...just trying to eat smaller portions more often throughout the day, increase my fiber intake and cut down on sugars and processed foods. I am trying to work out 3 days a week to begin.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Now that I am married I am realizing that it is not just for me anymore it is for us. He will follow my lead and since he a little overweight as well it is very important for me to be healthy so he can be too. I also plan to have shildren in a couple of years and I want to be healthy before I do that. A bonus for me is that I have had this bathing suit I bought a couple of years ago that I have been dying to wear. Hopefully next summer!!!

I really also want to have a beautifully toned body which is a lot of work out work which is very difficult to fit into my work and social life and living with my boyfriend...

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I want to be at my goal weight before I get engaged so I don't have to diet for my wedding I have over a year but it's really important that this is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE complete with exercise and the ability to eat out, enjoy my life and still have a slamming body

Goal Weight: My ultimate would be 125, but I'd be deliriously happy at 150, so that's my goal.
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I eat when I'm bored, and I'm bored an awful lot! I also have a sensitivity to the sun, so outside exercise is quite limited. Though really, motivation and willpower and the biggest hurdles.
Following any specific plan: For exercise, I'm going to try Self magazines 3 month workout schedule they do once a year. Its over for this year, but I saved everything, and its quite sensible. I'm already a fairly healthy eater, so really, I know I need to limit my portions. I'm not yet to a calorie counting phase, but I do carry a food journal.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I know, each time I start, that I'm going to fail like always, and that in 14 days tops, I'll be back into my normal no-exercise routine. This time, I started a blog and am joining here to be held accountable and to get tips and support from REAL girls on a real forum.
