Amanda I think you are doing and have done wonderfully with C25K. Take it slow maybe start in the middle and then gradually do the 25-28 minute run. I've got total faith in you that you'll do it.

Roxy I don't get to go out to eat that often either, but when I do it's lunch because it's way cheaper, and that soda money is my tip That's the only thing I miss about working ... being able to splurge when I want to

Thanks Ona

Thanks Diana I love Olive Garden

Angie where are you???

My numbers today are horrid but I'll stay accountable:
calories 1815, carbs 189, protein 105, sodium 2115 my sodium is under 2500mg but still high

Coondocks where are you? Did you say you weren't gonna post everyday? I can't remember.

Hi Aimee, Vixsin, FutureThoughts, and Everyone else that I missed hope you had a great day

Rennie-way to stay honest and report your numbers as they are. It's easy to have trouble with being "real with yourself" in this process. you deserve a carrot dance are you starting c25k up again? I'll be on here for a WHILE doing this, bridging to 10K very soon. you were right...I did it! Week 7 is done, and I've managed to run 25 minutes on three different occasions.

Diana-Olive Garden foods are prepackaged so sodium will be an issue of course. but did you enjoy it? that's what I'm wondering

Ona-I've seen you breezing through these last five pounds! congratulations!

FitGirly-Scale fake-out. Let's see where you are tomorrow!

crainjo-"When I started running (C25K) 8 or 9 months ago, I could barely run 1 minute without thinking I was going to die. But the body adjust pretty quickly if you run on a consistent basis."
Did you bridge to 10K next?

rainbowgirl-I don't know if we have been introduced. i should know but heeey I'm Amanda!!

lili-It's good to give yourself a break, as long as you come back ready to work!

kukkie-do you find water helps you achieve your weight loss goals? can you find any real correlation there?

Gale-you are a TOUGH woman. sleep all you want.

Good Morning, Everyone!

I'm glad I have given myself a weight range to work with. Geesh! I'm also glad to be 100% on plan, too. Gotta love (NOT!) that sodium!

Calories for yesterday: 1420 +

Weigh In: 148.6

Up: 2.2 pounds

Aka See above. I didn't like it that much. I had what I normally eat, Zuppa Toscana and Venetian Apricot Chicken. It's all high in sodium. The best option would have been the Salmon. They have went up on the price of that meal, and I think it's too expensive.

Well I once again weighed in at 180.4. Is my scale stuck The kids are out of school today because of county elections. So teacher conference scheduled for one today in elementary. None in middle school thank goodness. They communicate by email.

Thanks Amanda you are too sweet I do need to use today to start again, but won't promise that I will. Again I am proud of you in doing C25K. I knew you could and would do it, way to go. Wow how do you know that Olive Gardens foods are pre-packaged. I didn't know restaurants did that. The only thing that I really loved at Olive Garden was their Mediterranean Garlic Shrimp dish they had when they first opened. Now I just stick to soup and salad and the calories in those will kick any good eating to the curb .

LOL Diana Gotta love (NOT!) that sodium! I know right ... we need to come up with a low sodium restaurant and super market chain. Now there's a money maker ... who's gonna do the research, front the money and start'er up It's always the dish that sells the most that you love that they (restaurants) either raise the price or discontinue the dish (smh)

'Morning y'all. I'm down 0.4 this morning to 198.4 - I did see 198.1 but saw the higher one a couple of times so I stuck with it. Lunch/snacks packed and at my side at the ready. Lets get'er done!

aka - I've always been a big water drinker, it's always been my go-to drink. I rarely drink juice, and never drink pop (any carbonated drink) - I hated it as a kid! So when I don't get my minimum of 2 litres in, I won't see a loss no matter how good I've been food-wise.

Good Morning Ladies,
WI @ 225.2 this morning- down 1.6 from yesterday- woo hoo! Glad to say I think all of the junk I ate this past weekend has been flushed from my body... I drank what seemed like GALLONS of water yesterday, ate very simple, low calorie, clean foods, and went to my body step class last night... and I am feeling much less bloated and crappy today I'm setting a goal of 215 for November- that would make it 12 pounds lost for the month- I think I can do this! Having the same tuna/cottage cheese and lettuce wraps for lunch today- then running at the gym tonight. Have a great day everyone!

11/3: 206.8
11/4: ???
11/5: ???
11/6: ???
11/7: 205.0
11/8: 204.6

AKA I have the Bridge to 10K app, but to be honest I only did it for a week. I have just been running my 3 miles two or three times during the week. Sometimes I add a mile or two miles to my runs during the week, then try to do a longer run at a slower pace on the weekends. I am training for a half marathon, and this has worked for me and my available time. It seems to be working. I am steadily improving my 5k times (25:30/8:14 pace) and am able to run 7 miles at a 9:30 pace.

Well today was frustrating, up another pounds to 204 and can't come up with a good explanation, other than maybe too little carbs. I drank my water and ate plenty of protein (chicken, cheese, eggs) but only had a small amount of lettuce due to leaving work early to take my son to the doctor.

Did not go off plan at all, but now I really want to because I am up 2 pounds in 2 days and didn't even CHEAT!!!!

GRRRRR! I say again...HOW FRUSTRATING!!

Just thought I would post some progress pics since I have not done that since this summer. The last pic was me and my oldest son in our Halloween costumes. He was a football player and I was the head coach.

Well, let me tell you about my weekend.
My brother showed up as a surprise which of course was nice, he took me to his friends new restaurant here and we ate . . . Oh lord did we eat. I fully intended to make the healthier choices looking at the menu until I realized we weren’t ordering and just getting food brought to us ha ha.
It happens once in a blue moon, so I’m not going to stress about it. I haven’t weighed in and I’ve kept to my water and clean eating with that exception. I also got to have a long talk with him about what’s been going on with me and the things that have been stressing me out. Had he known he would have given his help, I know that, I’ve just always been the type of person that helps and doesn’t ask for help – I really need to work on that. I feel so much better I can’t even describe it just being able to get it all off my chest. It makes me laugh thinking about growing up – my brother and I did NOT get a long at all, always at eachothers throats and purposefully getting on eachothers nerves. Now . . . we are actually friends – pretty cool feeling.
I have started having a protein shake in the mornings with some frozen fruit and I’m starting to notice the difference through out the day. It’s the new routine in the morning for Jack and I, he loves making the mini blender go and likes having his own ‘smoovy’ in the morning like mom (minus the protein of course)
Shockingly, I got him to eat fish last night . . . . this kid does not like meat of any kind, and he thought it was delicious. So a big victory for me, my almost 3 year old will eat lemon pepper sole fillets, woo hoo!!

Ok, now for the personals . . . .I think I need to do a separate post just for them, def going to be easier to write it out on a separate wordsheet then copy and paste. Busy people all around!!

Hi Everyone! Still catching up on everything, but I just wanted to pop in and say I made my first mini-goal! Reached the 210 mark and three week ahead of time!

Thanks so much for the support! Rennie (and Ona before her) are so right: this is the best place to come and help you reach your goals! I now am feeling better and re-energized to lose more weight!

crainjo - your pics are oh so very awesome!!! You've done an amazing job so far. I know your siggy says you reached your first mini-goal of 60lbs gone in April. Can I ask when you started the overall journey??
