Default Good morning

Teri, great idea on the soups!!!! Thank you! Interesting on Katherine Hepburn. She was so svelte. I have not read James Herriot's Cat Stories! I'm glad you will get to enjoy Dr. Herriot's first book. I just finished his second, "All Things Bright and Beautiful." Such treasures.

Nancy, I'm sorry about the job. I think it would be just great if you could take vacation and go to see your daughter. Something nice to plan for and look forward to!

I am creeping up on my weight. Need to take the bull by the horns and pay attention. I weighed in at 142 yesterday. Not where I want to be. My lessened activity level is not helping matters. I did meet my goals yesterday, though. I took in 1200 calories. Did the chest press, instead of shoulder weights.

Today's goals: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., recumbent bike, stretch, sit-ups.

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Friday!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this but my washing machine is out of commission. The part is on order and hopefully it will be back up and running within a couple weeks. My friend has been helping out and I washed clothes at her house last weekend. We have more to wash this week because of the bed linens. I plan to go to the laundromat today to get everything done at one time.

Steps for yesterday: 12,846
This Morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1520 +
Weigh In: 195.4
Down: .2

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

March 5

1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.

'God just doesn't want me to lose weight!' said Stephanie. 'Each time I try, I fail. If God really wants me to lose weight, He'd help me.' Many people feel just like Stephanie. They think God isn't helping them because they aren't successful in their diets. The problem is that they want God to take the weight from them. That simply isn't the way God works. Instead, we need to know that He will work through us to make us strong enough to face the challenges and trials that await us. We take heart in knowing that God will not let us down and He will work with us all the way.

Today's thought: God will grant me courage that will not run out!

I binged again last night. I'll try meditation before bed tonight. I heard it's effective for emotional eater.
I'm not feeling that bad this morning and still had breakfast. Today's a new day 😊

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to taking advantage of the weather this weekend - grill some burger or maybe some strips. Also will get my cardio and weight training in. Yesterday I did 17K steps outside with the Beats phones on listening to some R&B, Green Day and Primus - quite the variety of tune-age! People think my music tastes are deranged, but it is great for physically activity and mental well being.

Diana - how long how the washer been running? If it is a motor issue where oil is spilling out, you will need to buy a new one - Do not replace the motor on the existing machine to try to save a buck. We have an LG and it has been great for us.

Good Evening!

I missed exercise yesterday, but I finally biked/wt. lifted tonight. I am eating too much junk food...

I returned some library books...

Diana: It is good that there are still some places that you can wash your clothes in public...
Joe: I wish we had 2 digestive systems...one for healthy food and one for the junk food to let it pass through without absorbing all the calories...
Nancy: Chicken tortilla soup...yum...I like the kind with the cheese...but I don't have it very often...

Our washer is a Speed Queen. It's one of the old style washers that was used in the laundromats. It's actually only 4 or 5 years old. Before I called about getting it looked at I searched online for the problem I was having. I couldn't find the problem. When the repair people came out they told me they don't usually see issues with the washing machine that I have. The problem is a pressure valve, no motor or transmission, etc. So hopefully everything will be fine. The repair guys were telling me that the model I have is used in assisted living places and places that wash a high volume of laundry and they hold up well. That's the reason I bought it. Also, it has no bells and whistles, just a plain jane model.

The laundromat is brand new and really nice. It is all fancy smancy. Everything was washed and dried in a little over an hour. I couldn't believe it. I will go back there if I need to. My friend helped me last week but I only had 2 loads. I had a lot more today and didn't want to take over their house, LOL. She was actually disappointed when she found out I went to the laundromat because she wanted to help me.

Yangtzer, like Diana said, Hang in there. Every day is a new start.

I am very concerned about Larry. I guess there is no way to find out if he is okay?

I took in 1260 calories yesterday. Met my other goals too except I did not get my exercise in.....I neglected to make the time for it.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., recumbent bike, sit-ups, stretches.
