Yangtzer, glad you had something for breakfast. Just got home from power walking and running errands in a nearby community. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁❤️🍀

Today's plan: 1300-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp, recumbent bike, shoulder weights, maybe chest press too.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

March 4

Psalm 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Jim's watch alarm beeped as the clock struck four. It sounded every hour and every half hour. I turned to him and asked him what he had set so many alarms for. 'I'm on a diet. Every time my watch goes off, I take a moment to say a prayer to God. It may sound crazy, but it has made this the easiest diet I've ever tried. It calms me down and gets my mind off food for awhile. I feel like I've got a partner, and you know, it's always easier to do something when you don't have to do it alone.'

Today's thought: I can be brave during the tough times, because God is with me!

Not easy before bed last night, but I managed to eat some cereal instead. I didn't do any exercise yesterday, still sore from the push-ups the day before.

Good morning again! Usc, that’s great you did Leslie Sansone yesterday. I did 2 miles Leslie Sansone this morning. Yangtzer, that’s understandable about you not exercising. Will go for a power walk and run errands later on this morning. 🍀❤️😁

Good Morning!

I biked/wt. lifted last night. .My biking is getting much easier... Diet is off (too much ice cream and donuts...)

Rachel: I have been making a lot of soup. Maybe you could do that for your parents. Many years ago I used to read these humanistic books by Leo Buscaglia who talked a lot about love. He was Italian and talked about how his mother always had a pot of minestrone soup on the stove. ...And food was love. Anyway soup is pretty easy to make. I boil a little bit of meat in a pot. After 20 min., I add some grains and/or veggies, and later maybe some ramen. I get bottles of different sauces from Trader Joes like oriental, Gen. Tso's, curry, etc. and add a small amount of that for flavor. Anyway, it is very easy and filling and you can change what you want to make. It can be a stew, It can be ham bone soup, chile, etc. I used frozen veggies. I try to be low sodium most of the time. When I want some I microwave some in a small glass bowl with glass lid.

Sometime I want to try mulligatawny soup and Brunswick stew (Smokey Bones).

I read that some people go on a soup diet. I just think it is nice to have soup around. It is something I can grab, that is not full of sugar and fat...I can still eat other stuff for meals and have the soup as a snack, etc.

Katherine Hepburn attributed her longevity to consuming vegetable soup...

Rachel: I finished reading James Herriot's Cat Stories. I just ordered the original version of All Creatures Great and Small from the library. Last week I read Grisham's A Time for Mercy...

Hello to all the lovely chicks
Thought I would pop in to see how everyone is doing!
WI still about the same no change, up 3 down .2, then .2 then .2 and eventually back at the starting gate to repeat.....lol
WO only going to the gym 2-4 times per week, this past week I have had sinus issues. I am not sure if it is a side effect of the medication or just a irritated nose/throat. just drainage and hard to sleep.

I did not get the job I had really thought was mine, they hired someone with the same skill set as me however the other person was familiar with the proprietary software. Where I would have to do a bit of training then the learning curve....

So now I am looking at us taking a vacation and flying east to visit my daughter + family in April/May
Teri great biking, and funny you should mention soup....chicken tortilla last night LOL
Usc, yangtzer, ciecie all three of you have been on the exercise path, although yangtzer your arms will be better soon
Change I am excited for you, so close to onederland and 100lb
Rachel, sounds like you are maintaining well and your parents are doing well too....double ++
Diana, how are things going with you?

Ciecie - it was actually a lot of fun and a pretty good workout. Personally, I would rather walk, but I certainly see the cardio benefits. Good stuff!

got some miles in while listening to Green Day and Primus. I love 90s stuff!
