Cool Congrats

Keep up the good work. I am having to fight the urge to eat sweets with my unsweet Starbucks Coffee every night.

Default November 2020

Good Morning!

Diana: I live with someone who lops everything off for the winter. The neighbors think that is really nice and it looks tidy. If I lived alone, I'd let some stuff go natural for the winter. (It gives the birds some seed to eat in the winter.) But some plants are really a nuisance and you want to eliminate the seed, maybe even putting it in the garbage. If I put seeds in the woods, some critter ends up eating it and maybe pooping it out back in the yard.../We are having rain here, too. I missed the opportunity to do a lot of gardening in the hot weather. If there is a lull in the weather, maybe I will move some pots.

Welcome scoop! Hope you have a lot of success here. So sorry you have bad news. Some people eat when they are under stress and others don't. (I wish I was the latter...) Hope your coffee tastes really good. I have gotten some "iced coffee" in a carton and added a little to my low cal almond milk.

Nancy: Your new job reminds me of taking intro classes freshmen year of college with all those new concepts to learn, or moving to a new area where you have to think before you do anything. It is stressful, but kind of exciting too.:

I walked again last night. Diet was okay except for a small blizzard. A small blizzard really is not small. I could have eaten just half... I went grocery shopping and bought lots of veggies.

Default Good morning

Teri, in quarantine I read books. I just finished a good one by Nicholas Sparks called "The Return," I still have not read John Grisham's new one; I need to put myself on the waiting list at the library.

Ciecie, I haven't gone back and read the past two weeks' posts, but I did see that you had cataract surgery yesterday. How are you doing?

Usc4valpo, Nancy, Diana, Jen, Princessroja, and anyone I missed: I'm sorry if I'm not up to date on what's going on with you all; I'm just kind of jumping back in. Have missed everyone!

I weighed in this morning at 138. I'm happy with that for now. Would still like to get to the lower part of my maintenance range, at some point. Still not exercising, except for some upper body stuff. My appointment with orthopedic guy is November 25 to try to figure out what to do with my hip (labral tears and advanced arthritis).

Today'a Plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium, situps, weights for biceps.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Last night: Basic stretches

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

November 11

Matthew 13:44
'Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.'

Kris would give anything to be thin again. She was willing to diet, she was willing to exercise, she was willing to try anything. Following a number of traumatic experiences in her life, she had let herself go, but now she regretted it with all her heart. Earnestly she began to pray to God. Within a few weeks, her dieting was beginning to pay off. Delighted with the results, she doubled her efforts, with her doctor's permission, and devoted herself to her diet, body, mind, and soul. For the first time in years, she found herself happy and content. The joy she found was a blessed gift from God.

Today's thought: I'm looking for little victories to keep me dieting!

Ciecie, so happy your cataract surgery went well! Will you have the other one done soon too? I'm assuming they only do one at a time?

Yesterday was well. I took in 1380 calories. With the quarantining and all, my orthopedic guy appointment has been re-scheduled for November 25. I am frustrated as I can't exercise much so I really need to do something about this hip. If it comes to it, I may have to have it replaced. Has anyone here had that done?

Today's Plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium, upper arm weights, situps.

Good Morning!

CieCie: Yeah! Way to go!
Diana: When you are done...you can come over to my house...and help me...

I dallied yesterday...and I finally walked last night. It gets dark so early, I really need to walk earlier. It was still a little light at 5:30. I ate too much Tuscan chicken pizza in the middle of the night. I cut up a frozen round pizza into pieces and put it in a box in the freezer so I can just microwave part, because the pizza makes a mess in the oven. This pizza did not cut up well. I prefer this rectangular smoked chicken pizza that I can cut into strips. I made a mistake of not making a salad first. (Win some, lose some.)

I know two people who have had hip replacement surgery this year.

1st lady, not active and not fit, had regular surgery, everything went well but it was difficult for her, she is doing much better post surgery

2nd lady, very active and fit, works out on a regular basis, had robotic surgery, this is her second hip to be replaced, everything went very well, only one PT session, they said she didn't need it because she was doing so well.
