Default Good morning

Larry!!!! Welcome back . We've missed you!!! So good to see you! We need your input and humor!!!

I didn't do so well with meeting my yesterday's goals. Didn't get any exercise in and took in 1690 calories. I still would like to get toward the lower end of my maintenance range, but it's slow going.

Today's Plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium, vit/min supp., recumbent bike.

Dropped 0.9 last week to 195.1. My wife is concerned I work out too much. I enjoy the exercise, although the more I walk outside instead of the treadmill, the better. I need to talk to my weight loss coach about this.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Usc4valpo I can relate. There is a fine line with the exercise. Back in 2008, when I started my most recent journey, and up to a few years ago, I worked out 1 hour a day. I read a long term study about morbidly obese people who lost weight a significant amount of weight. I'm trying to think of the name of organization but can't remember right now. It stated that the ones who kept it off worked out approx 1 hour a day. I do a lot better when I workout that long, too. I don't have to kill myself with intensity it's just that I need that hour. I am falling short of that and I'm struggling to lose the small amount that I am wanting to lose.

Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1430 +
Weigh In: 187.8
No change

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

November 17

Isaiah 12:5
Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

Ann went out shopping for a whole new winter wardrobe. Every day of her diet, she had put money away for just this very day. She had set a goal for herself, and she promised to take herself shopping when she reached it. Now was that day, and she was overjoyed. For the first time in years, she wasn't embarrassed to go out for new things. She could walk into normal stores and pull things off the rack to wear. She could find new fashions and not worry about whether they came in her size. The whole world looked brighter. God had been so good to her, and she was thankful. Now she was going to be good to herself!

Today's thought: I'm going to treat myself to a new me!

Good afternoon/evening to all
Late to the party today
WI up 1.0...159.6, has to be sodium as I had some 'bar snack mix' last night
WO got in a 35 min total cardio workout this am and it really kicked me...guess when you are slack for awhile it is what I get!

Tonight I am making some chicken enchilada casserole from ww site. I had to modify a few ingredients since I don't like mushrooms or zucchini in my casseroles. I am making homemade corn tortilla's though so I am really looking forward to eating in a few hours.

Diana when I was going to the gym I got in 30n min cardio and 30 min strength training and really enjoyed it but since the gyms are closed (again) working out at home as to do and I average 35-55 minutes. I will have to see if I can find an article that I read years ago about length of exercise and intensity related to weight loss. It was quite eye opening

back in a bit

Diana - many thanks for sending that link. I enjoy exercise and it makes me feel good physically and mentally. It is an endorfinized beautiful thing. As long as I don’t feel pain, I want to do my steps, cardio and strength training.

Lunch (270 Calories)
1 Siggi's yogurts 110 calories
Fage 0 yogurt 90
Fruit 70 calories

Dinner (1000 Calories)
tacos and quesadillas 1000 calories

Hi Larry - I look forward to hearing more about your journey, as I feel we have some trials and successes. I started at 281 a year ago and now at a fighting weight of 195. Are you following some of the theories presented by Fung in the book “the Obesity Code”? many of my coworkers are reading and following this.

Usc4valpo, I find it encouraging to me that you are able to do so much exercise, especially the walking, even though you've had a hip replacement. Itgives me hope that if I should have to have my hip replaced, I may also be able to exercise more than I can right now; I'd like to be able to walk more.

Yesterday I took in 1530 calories. Chose not to do the recumbent bike yesterday, but met most of my other goals.

Today's Plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium & vit/min supplement.

Good Morning!

Welcome back Larry!
Diana: Thanks for info about dieting.

Two days ago, I walked and I moved potted plants to a more protected area outside. Yesterday, no exercise. Diet could be better, could be much worse. I had a pumpkin muffin and cookie two days ago and a slice of pumpkin pie yesterday. I had a thin strip of pizza yesterday (1 1/2 inch by 6 inches). I love these Aldi's smoked chicken pizza. I can keep it frozen and slice off mini sized pieces. Oh, I also had a half a jr frosty yesterday and chili and salad.

I am in a weird mood: Hey, Hey! Ho, Ho! Belly fat has got to go!
