Diana I hope you have a great vacation on the mountain. Thank you for all that you do, tending to this thread.

Syckgirlsfv, I hope your toung is feeling better tomorrow.

So sorry I am not typing to everyone. Believe me Iwish I could. My shoulder back and neck still in much pain. I made an emergency apt with the chiropractor tomorrow. Living on tylenol, which is so unhealthy for the liver.

Gained 5.8 lbs on the trip. Well, I enjoyed each ounce of it. Although I did not get to choose the resturaunts I went to. It felt odd to eat so much. Now back to the grind. Hard to type because of the shouler and back. Makes the pain worse. Plus my keyboard needs to be cleaned. It is not cooperating whenI type. I hope you all have a loving and beautiful christmas !

Hope that makes up for my enjoying myself yesterday.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Today is going to be a pretty uneventful day. My mom and I are going to the gym, though I'm debating on skipping out so I can clean the house a bit to prepare for holiday guests tomorrow. We'll see, though. Then church in the evening and Chinese food for dinner, so I'm going to try to eat as little salt as I can until then.

I weighed in at 174 this morning, so happy! I know it's mostly been water weight, but seeing the scale drop 4 pounds since I got to my parents' last Thursday is so motivating and confidence-boosting. I'm especially happy of the 174 this morning since I made some hot cocoa (with real chocolate) and peppermint schnapps and Kahlua to drink for dessert. I thought for sure that would make me retain a bit of water.

Hope the holidays go well for everyone!

flower and mossy - thank you - I went to the doc twice and he couldn't find anything a few months back. Gave me an oral mouth rinse for thrush, even though all my tests for candida (yeast) came back negative. I am going to refill the scrip I guess, and see if it will do the trick. I did read that some people have had to take a few rounds of this wash to get rid of the problem. yuck.

another water pound gone today

Merry Christmas all!!!

retrorabbit that drink you made sounds awesome

B - organic potato w/cottage cheese
L - veggie penne pasta w/mozzarella cheese sauce and broccoli
S - maybe popcorn if necessary
D - not sure, candlelight service at church tonight so maybe dinner after out at Outback or something.

will try to get in an 11 mile ride since I'm off work early today.

Mornin'!

Diana, merry Christmas to you too! Enjoy your trip.

Flower, I'm so sorry you're in pain. I'm sure the long bus ride home didn't help. I hope you recover quickly.

Syckgirl, that is weird about the sides of your tongue. Maybe it is something mechanical going on in your sleep, as Mossy suggested. Congrats on the weight trending down.

Kelijpa, enjoy the quiet, short day at work. That sounds like an ideal work day to me. lol

Retro, congrats on the 174. Fingers crossed the chinese food doesn't hit ya with a sodium bomb. If it does though, don't fret. It will flush out too.

Fluffy, good job on reining in the cals after a high cal day.

Mossy, I see you're on the fish. It sounds like a yummy menu.

Menu plan for today-

B egg sandwich, baco, decaf w milk
L soup
D sesame thai noodles (I forgot to buy meat for, hmmm. I think I have squid in the freezer).

Cool Mom - Merry Christmas to you and the littles.
I wanted to go to a service tonight but my folks are homebound. The flu is everywhere and I had a check about going out amongst the college kids, relatives from all over the nation...all home for the holidays. Sooo, I stayed home. It's everywhere. I'll watch programs on the tube and work up the Christmas Eve spirit at home. Have fun with the littles, Cool Mom.

went to a candle light service at our church tonight, it was beautiful We get to go down in to the pulpit and participate in the Lord's table with the pastor individually or with our spouses or family. Our church did it for the first time last year and it was really awesome, so we did it again this year. Can't think of a better way to spend Christmas Eve. Tomorrow we go down to my Mom's in Huntington Beach where I grew up and my sister and nephews flew in from France on Monday. DD will also come by the house, and also my dear Gramma. She's 94 and what an amazing lady!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! Happy Chanukah! Best of the season!

Totally binged tonight. Again. Second time in three days. Lost all track. Gonna try for a very light day tomorrow but there will be a family breakfast so I will still have challenges, even though our big dinner is Christmas Eve. Plan to skip lunch and have a light dinner. Hoping for a 600-800 cal day but that might be overly optimistic. Probably more like 900. This morning I was down 0.6 due to a light day on the 23rd but I'll be up tomorrow morning. Still gonna try to reach my goal of 148 by Jan 1 but it may be a lost cause as I'm expecting in the neighbourhood of 153 tomorrow morning.

Anyhow,

Kelijpa--too bad you had to work. Hope you had a good night

Flower--sorry you are in so much pain. Have you tried laser therapy? Some chiropractors do it and some physios. Don't worry about the three pounds. About par for this time of year

RetroRabbit--congrats on 174!

Syckgirlsfv--I hope it works this time!

Mossy--Merry Christmas to you too!

And to all a good night!

I don't eat meat, fish, sugary drinks or beer and I'm not even eating a lot of purines. I don't think it's gout. It was gone after a day. I must have jammed it and not realized.

You are totally right Snark. I am 6 pages behind on this thread....
