I caved yesterday and had a "eat whatever you want day". That included pizza and ice cream. I see the gain. Today is going to be strict as EVER to get back on plan. Now I see that if I am going to do a "cheat" day, I need to still be on track. I know I was way over my calories, plus it was bad food. Bad me. I'm going to do cardio today to try to help it.

... The pizza and ice cream wasn't worth how I feel now.

Great job people!!!
April 15, and I have only lost 3 pounds so far. Not very much. But, I have been excercising, eating healthy, reasonable portions, and generally happy with my life. I can eat like this for the rest of my life, no problem. So here is hoping there 3 pounds are lost forever...even if I only lose 3 more in April, it's all good.

Slow and steady...and such.

sassyangies: Hip Hip Horray! Good for you.

IanG. your doing great!. I make my own beer. I'll have to look for super hoppy beer.

Ronja; i know what you mean about guys loosing faster. Wish they could pass it onto us. Just a little. Don't want to be greedy.

Ghostly: I thing we all do that every now and then. But then you get back on the train track and one day really doesn't hurt. Probably all water. Or the weight of the food.

I haven't been on in awhile. Mostly because I don't think I'll meet my 10 lb. mark. But here I am still plugging along.

wannaskipandlaugh: I drink Green Flash Palate Wrecker and Green Flash India Pale Ale. I often drink two an evening, sometimes three.

They are both VERY HOPPY beers. There is some suspicion that hops may be good for weight management and from my experience I would certainly say so:

I am aiming to lose 100lbs without giving up beer in any sense of the word!

LOL I might have to see if they have that beer around here.... HHHMMM gonna do a road trip to the good BIG stores.. I do like beer and miss drinking a cold one (tho a Margarita beats out a beer for me) Maybe Total Wine and more might have it..... If it works for me... I will yell to the roof tops LOL It might be the total Carbs for the day for me tho... But... Just never know.. Thanks Ian

Thanks wannaskipandlaugh. It has to be beer or wine. Margarita's have had dubious impacts on my weight in the past, I assume because they are so sugary. Anyway, Total Wine rules! They will stock the brewskies I refer to. Go for the Green Flash Indian Pale Ale or Palate Wrecker and see if they have any impact on your weight (don't be getting the munchies though!). If it doesn't, or you even find an increase in loss, then try two! I find they are best served with a very light dinner or no dinner at all! Hic!

Dinner? what dinner? Liquid is it! (beer) (and its soooo filling with the carbonation) OH NOW I FIGURED IT OUT... Its the carbonation!! LOL

I will try it. It will be nice to do something different and I will sleep better.... and I know my limit (tho its been months now)... 2 or less I'm out... if I have 3 or more... I can keep going til the cows come home LOL

That's the only way to make it sustainable Jennifer. Anyway, try the IPA, resist the munchies and let me know.

IanG: I also love an IPA and won't give them up! I'm losing slowly, but trying to do it how I want to live. That definitely includes good beer (and wine and cocktails on occasion ). I'll have to see if the pale ales put on less weight because I sure hope you're right!

ughhhh I feel frustrated. Not the end of the world but one of those circumstances where I felt like the only socially excusable course of action was to go over my calories. My good friend was moving out of town today and it was our goodbye dinner. I forgot my sugar free, no calorie drink mix (my own fault, AND it's bad for me anyway) and she only had coke. I haven't had a coke in ages. It was vile, but it was that or sip vodka. I didnt want to offend her, as it's the last night we'll have together for quite some time. She also made delicious food but loaded with bbq sauce. Now, from Tuesday to Saturday, I need to eat 1200 a day max in order to make my desired deficit, or up the ante n my workouts too. I know it's doable, I know it's choices I could have made differently, I know that life gets in the way sometimes, but still. I feel like I just shot myself in the foot. I don't even LIKE coke!
