I spoke too soon yesterday. We ended up with a little of everything nasty -- Snow, Rain, Ice. Today, the temperature is almost 50F and the sun is shining. Tomorrow, they are predicting almost 60F.

Had a new stray kitty adopt us recently. So - decided to keep her ( ) after no one responded to the ad I had in the paper.
Today was her vet visit for shots and a scheduling for a spay.
She is going to be our shop cat, as we already have an inside cat - and DH is already allergic.
We had found a home for another stray earlier this year. My sister says I have a big X on the house that only kitties can see that says "sucker lives here".
Cold and rainy day here today. Makes me want to stay inside and eat hearty beef stew LOL!
We keep our thermostat set low to save energy, and I barely got warmed up after doing a 1/2 hour exercise DVD!
Almost makes me want to do it again to stay warm....almost!
I've been shopping almost all day . . . don't know about anybody else, though? Spent too much money, of course . . . and ate too much lunch, of course. . . . . . I just love Christmas Shopping.

I never venture into retail shops from Thanksgiving to Christmas LOL! Unless it is a weekday. Never nights or weekends.
I seem to have gotten rid of that feeling of wanting to go off plan. Just took some patience and perserverance. I want to be 100% from now until Thanksgiving. Not that I am going to overeat that day, but will be indulging a bit
I hate the crowded stores too, LORI and I'm thrilled to tell you that I have now FINISHED my Christmas Shopping (except for a couple of little bits that do not involve going anywhere near the Malls) . . . Feels wonderful . . . What I love about it is getting just the right thing for everybody.

Hello Ladies.
Wow, it has been a little while since I've posted. I have been soooo busy. Unfortunately, I haven't even started my shopping yet. I swear I get started later, and later every year! I'm am the complete opposite of you ladies....I love black Friday! I get up at 4:30am.....my husband thinks I'm crazy. I do lots of research before hand, so I can plan my attack-LOL! It really gets me in the spirit. Then I go home, and decorate the house. Anyways, kind of a crazy year for me this year.....my 9 year old discovered the "truth" about santa, and my two year old is experiencing him for the first time. My little boy went to see Santa for the first time this weekend. He wasn't scared at all. I was so shocked. He told him "Hi, my name is Jacob - and I'm 2!!" Then reached for the candy of course-LOL! Ok, sorry to ramble on. I guess I should probably post something about my weight since that's what this board is for:-) I'm still holding steady at 160. I'm hoping to be in the 150's by Turkey day. I hope you are all doing well. I'm searching for some sweet potatoe recipes if any of you have one you'd like to share. I've never made them before, so I'm going to try this year. Chat soon!!
Just cut them up, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper and olive oil and roast them in a single layer . . . stay away from the heavy sauces (and, the marshmallow toppings). Yummy.
