Hi everyone!
Busy, busy day here today. But that keeps me from snacking LOL! Weigh in is tomorrow. Probably won't be much since I had 2 great weeks in a row.
Getting cold here, supposed to be snow flurries tonight!

Hey, just wanted to say, today is the day I am getting my act together and breaking that darn plateau. I kinda felt like giving up as my weight loss slowed, but I know if I put my mind to it, I can start losing again. I also set a Christmas goal of 10 lbs... makes my weight loss overall seem a little more managable.

Hi Emily - you can do it! This thread has been a great help to me!
Weigh today, lost 0.4 pounds. I lost! Yay! I imagine my blood donation last week did give me an artificially low total
On a side note, I am trying to incorporate more fish in my diet. Which is hard, because I really don't like fish at all. Today I tried the Starkist Lemon Pepper tuna, and it is surprisingly good! My cat likes it as well

Hello everyone.
I just wanted to come on really quick and let you girls know what was going on with me. I went to see a neurologist yesterday, and I had an MRI as well. The doctors are doing everything they can to figure out what is happening with me since I blacked out and hit my head. What they have figured out so far. I have extensive nerve damage to the nerves on the stem of my brain and neck. This is causing me to have numbness in my arms/hands. They gave me an injection to help with the awful headaches, and they're hoping that the MRI will show them what the bump on my head, and the pain is being caused from. The neurologist suggested it could be a blood clot. Thank you to those of you who have posted regarding my condition. It has been a very scary thing. The good news is that I am down another two pounds....completely stress related I am sure! I guess it's good to find something positive out of such an awful situation. I hope you are all doing well. I hope you all don't mind me discussing this here. Chat Soon.

shout out, staffingchick
OMG. Staffingchick, I started posting here and then got caught up elsewhere, but have followed along some. Hi to all; thinking good thoughts for you all.
I just want you to know, Staffingchick, I am sure we are all following along with you; keep us posted; there is support here.
When I first heard what happened to you, I thought, MS. I have MS and that was my natural assumption; it is so common, and not the worst thing to have diagnosed. No clue as to what a blood clot means........sounds treatable.....serious, but treatable, yes???

Hey girls...I think I finally have my internet issues worked out. Just got off the phone with a tech. I couldn't log onto the internet at all yesterday. Apparently now they've upgraded the service in our area and I had to reset the settings. (Thanks for letting me know!) So after walking through things with the tech on the phone...I should be okay.
Angela...yikes! So scary indeed! I hope that they are able to resolve this fast. Hang in there girl!
TTFN!

Angela - at least the doctors have a bead on what's wrong and can move forward to help you recover!

Hello to all!
Well, I have heard back from the doctor. My brain MRI came back normal....thank god! I have to have another MRI on my neck and spine, but I am still a bit relieved. The neurologist says that I have severe nerve damage on the stem of my brain/neck which is causing all of my pain. It has been such a scary couple of weeks. It's funny how something like this will get you thinking about your life! I will keep you all posted as I get more news.
On another note, it seems as though you are all doing great with your weight loss. I am proud to be a part of this group. I am so motivated to keep going, and to STAY healthy. I gave all of my old clothes to my sister, and to charity...so there's no way I can let myself go again-LOL! I have gone from a size 16/18 to a 10:-) People are really starting to notice the hard work, so I know it's all worth it. Stay strong girls, and thank you for your support! Chat Soon!

Hi gang . . .
Good article LORI . . . I really like most everything I read in Prevention . . .
We have a really terrible day here -- rain, wind, cold -- and the 'experts' are threatening to give us up to 6 inches of SNOW . . .
Hope everybody else is having a great day . . . See you later . . .

Hi ladies.
Well after a rough couple of weeks, my husband decided to surprise me with a night out. Saturday night, we spent the night out of town and had a fabulous dinner at a 5 star retaurant, and went to a comedy show. It was a blast, and it really took my mind off of things. It's crazy when you live with somebody, but you hardly ever see them. My husband and I got re-connected this weekend-LOL!!! The bad news is that I gained a little bit....but it was sooooo worth it. I'm back on plan today though. I'm gearing up for another round of testing at the hospital this Wednesday. Looking forward to some time off for Thanksgiving-YAY. I hope you are all doing well. Thanks for your posts/comments. I promise not to post any more depressing stuff :-)
Have a great day, and chat soon.
