Not much going on today- My 13 year old son is on spring break and I have run out of entertainment. The TV is even getting on my nerves. Our ground is really wet- so working outside is muddy at best. Maybe tommorrow we can clean out the feed shed or work on the front flower bed.I had a bunch of projects to do- but they were outside related.
I have even cleaned out some of my clothing. I found some stuff that will fit for a little while- but I think a great bit of my closet will be gone by May at this rate. I have two pairs of shorts, so I am going to have to fill in some of the holes pretty soon.
I am still on plan. I am taking a break from salads- eating some chicken and steamed veggies or soup instead. My calories have been to low the last two days so I need to pump them up a bit.
I have not got to mile five on the new walking video- but am working hard on the four that I do. I did take Monday off from exercise, which always feels strange by dinner time. With the kids at home that hour that I do work out during naptime really helps clear my head. Monday I was so off from the time change I barely got dinner together.

Vega- hope you are still walking and staying on plan ! I will see you soon in one der land !
Good Luck Married2asolider ! We are rooting for you !
Jenny- You have been doing so great ! Forty two pounds is a big accomplishment ! The big 5-0 is right around the corner for you !

I can't believe I am doing so good this time 'cuz trust me, before all the diets I've been on sure didn't last very long.
Lady J- Sometime the timing of one's diet is the real secret.I didn't really start thinking about going on a diet until one day my Mom called me and needed my shoe size as she was a shoe sale. She bought me a new pair of running shoes. My old ones were 2 1/2 years old.
My Mom never buys me shoes.
This thread has been really important to me, even more than the one that is on the other board where I am a mod.Selina, (who has her handsful with those babies) created this whole new thread and< poof !>I feel like I have complete strangers cheering me on !
So let's not call anything luck, Let's think of it this time as it was meant to be for all of us !
Everyone have a blessed day !

Omg- I just looked at an online newpaper and realized it was Thursday-
WI was at 204 this morning- which means 6 pounds lost. I think I lost some last week- but was still bloated.

sirak - awesome job on teh 6 pounds~ You are going to be in onederland soooo soon, heck, maybe next week!

To get on the "why it's working this time", I think for me, it's a combination of issues. I want to be around and healthy for my DD (and all future kiddos) for a long time. I want to be able to keep up with them. I want to be able to take them to do things and not be above the weight limits. On the physical side, I have pcos and have a very hard time losing weight. I'm breastfeeding right now, and I think it has my hormone levels in check. So, I think it's a combination of really wanting it right now and being in a good place physically with my hormones.

That is really cool Jennylou- that the nursing is working for you and the little one. I gained 30 pounds after DD2 came and we nursed until she was 21 months old. She ate twice at night. I was a zombie- mommy. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and find that she has wandered into my room and has a blanket on the floor.
Vega-try to find a balence in what you are doing. If you have a bad lunch- then go light weight at dinner. Don't forget to walk ! Slow and steady !
I went to Ikea to pick up a slip cover for my couch today. It is about an hour and a half away so- it's like an entire day event for us. I did good at lunch with a salmon ceasar salad ( and fat free dressing). My downfall is the little Swedish Oat Crisps which are very much like DH's Grandma's. I ate 6 which was a whopping 200 calories. They were worth every bite.
I did a bunch of yard work this afternoon and plan on walking tonight. I have to get my garden ready for planting next week- so hopefully the weather will cooperate ( and I will have the extra exercise I need). The horses have almost lost their winter coats so it is about time to start planting.

Hi everyone! How are you all? Congrats to those of you who have stayed on plan this week. I haven't done so well but there is always another day to do better. I have been out of town then working on the house this week. Haven't made time to exercise and haven't eaten right. Just seems that either I'm focusing on myself enough to do all that, or I am focusing on everything except me and I begin to lose what I worked so hard for. I don't want it to be that way. Send me some good vibes because I need them.

I am trying to stay positive and will try to get in here more often. Being here helps me so much. Big hugs to you all. Bye for now.

Selina

Quick one for now but wanted to say "Congratulations!" to Karis, you did wonderul this week!!

As for me, I doubt I'll have a loss this week so am not expecting one.

I haven't done really bad I guess but did eat more than I have in weeks and am sure that'll have some effect on tomorrow's weigh-in.

#1 I've started adding a boiled egg to my salads [calories I wasn't getting before] ...

Then on Thursday at our Resident Council Meeting, I had 3 cookies [Ooops! ]

Also had 3 containers of yogurt this week and last night had a peanut butter sandwich [bread though was 40 calories each] ...

And I think I've eaten more pudding than the past week or two [though it is sugar-free/fat free].

Other than those things though, I've had nothing but salads.

This week I'm getting back to the way I was doing it before 'cuz atleast for now with adding these things I feel awful [like I'm totally defeating my purpose and what's the point, ya know? ]

Still - will wait to see how it goes tomorrow a.m. ... I don't "think" I've gained any but gotta wait 'n see.

Hi to everybody! I haven't been here in a few days and know I've missed some posts.

Just woke up now and will try to catch up later.

Love,

Jennelle

Well friends ... today's weigh-in did not show a loss for me, but ...

Praise the Lord, it didn't show a gain either!

I'm not gonna let it get me down 'cuz I know there'll be weeks without a loss and I'm okay with that 'n I'll do better next week for weigh-in.

So ... today's weigh-in was again, 223.

This week I'm going back to the way I was doing things before - mainly salads with my veggie burgers cut up in them.

Also am gonna cut down some again on my pudding and next week's weigh-in should be a good one.

Have a good day, gals!

Love,

Jennelle

Good morning everyone!!

I hope you had a nice weekend and are ready to keep racing to onederland!

I did pretty well on my walkings last week, not so good on my food though, I had to go without diner as I have already used up all my calories :$ but on those ocations I ate some carrots and veggies as not to feel hungry. I'll do better this week, I feel really motivated

Hey Vega, wanna send some motivation my way?

Wow, you did great this week - I mean, keeping track of your calories and then if you'd eaten all of your calories, going without supper to keep on track. I'm proud of you!!

Love,

Jennelle

Hey- Lady J ! Glad to see that your weigh in went ok ! Not gaining is a good thing ! I am back tracking to the salads also this week as nothing has moved since last Thursday and I know I am but an ant's breath away from getting below the 200 pounds.
Vega-I am sending you postive scale vibes for tommorrow morning. I hate having nothing happening. Maybe this week we will both see that ant's breath that we need .
Hey Selina ! Glad to see you around !

DH will be gone until late tommorrow night, which is helpful as I can slide some leftovers out of the freezer for DS13 and make noddles. yogurt and/or fruit for DD2.DD21 might come by- but she gets busy with school work and comes in later than dinner hour. That leaves me with 5 salads- just waiting in the fridge.
Yesterday I only made it 2.5 miles on my walking video- so I did 5 miles today.
It is naptime-hopefully for dd2 and the school bus should be coming soon.

Wow Karis, you really are close!! I can't wait till you hit under 200 - it'll be awesome [and hey - we can celebrate with some salad. ]

Vega - good luck with your weigh-in!

Hey Jenny, Cheryl ... and all others who've been here but I haven't seen coming out to play --- Where are ya?!!

Oh please ... Pick me up!

I mean pick me up as in encouragement-wise ...

Oh but wait ... no, you wouldn't be able to pick me up because tonight I went to the store and bought [and ate!] two long johns.

Yes, that's right ... not one but TWO of them. Ugggggh!

I'm not giving up ... no I'm not!

One good thing though is that in the past, when I fell off the wagon so to speak, I would've thought ...

Oh well, I went off that far so I may as well eat 'n enjoy myself till the new week starts or something like that.

BUT - nope, I am not gonna do that ... I ate them, nothing I can do about it now but just get right back up on the horse 'n try again.

If it counts for anything

If this counts for anything - while at the store, I also went to the ice cream isle and put a pint of caramel ice cream in my cart.

Got to the checkout and thankfully there were others ahead of me in line and I thought - nope, I can't do it!

So, I went and put the ice cream right back in the freezer where I found it at!

I thought - for a brief moment about doing that with the long johns as well but ... man,

I know that my hands had a death grip on those things and it'd take somebody a lot stronger than I am to pry them outta my fingers. *Giggle*

Guess I'll get for now but hope you're all doing okay [better than I did tonight anyways, for sure!]

Talk to ya more soon!

Love,

Jennelle

P.S. I had to change the date on my bottom ticker for getting down to 219 because obviously I'm not gonna get there by tomorrow.
