What is it about your bread that you're having a problem with? Do you not like bread or too much? Before I started the program, I would eat 2-3 biscuits at dinner usually. It's hard now not having them. But maybe some day!
If you don't mind sharing...what are your goal body fat percentages?
I'm really frustrated by this. I started at 34.1% and they will not let me start stabilization until I hit 27% or lower. What really bugs me is that sometimes they say I should be 21% (which means losing 10 more lbs than I thought I needed to) and sometimes they say 26% is my goal (which would be the original goal of 143.5 lbs).
I feel like they just want to see how long they can keep me on this darn program so that I buy more of their products. I already flat out told them I've bought all I can afford and I'm not buying anything more. They lied to me about the cost initially and I'm mad. I was very upfront with them at my consult about the cost because my husband just opened his own business and our discretionary spending money isn't great right now. I wanted them to run through the costs of all the HNSs, vitamins/herbs, everything before I committed. Well, I've already spent $400 more than they said I would and I'm not even at goal yet!
It also frustrates me that I honestly don't see how I'm that high in body fat (currently the body comp says 32%). And my body fat percentage has only gone down 2% and I've lost 17 lbs! Ugh...I'm so freaking frustrated with this program.

Like I'll have baked fish, salad and a biscuit. LOL
Or chicken with some rice.
I lost another 2.5 pounds on this weigh in but I know I could have done so much better if I would stick to the right breads.

Do we have a goal fat %? I was just told my goal weight. Or is that something they wait until you get closer to stabilization to tell you? I think my fat% right now is 43% and I've honestly never thought about a goal %. I wish I had more insight for you! I'm sorry that you're frustrated and I understand about the cost!!

Oh now I understand. I agree that it's VERY hard to try and stick with the right breads. Like last night I had half of a 100-calorie pack of Doritos with my taco salad. Other than that I've done pretty well with my bread choices, I just wish I could do that well with other things. I know I can as I have yesterday and today!

I guess so. They keep stressing to me that they NEVER allow people to go on stabilization unless they are below 27% body fat because they have found that people over 27% ALWAYS gain their weight back. In my opinion...that's BS! I know for a fact that there are ladies at my center who are NO WAY less body fat than me and they are on stabilization. I feel like I'm at a great weight now and I look pretty darn good too. I'm sick of this program and I just want my life back. But I can't risk jumping off program and just gaining all the weight back. So I'm waiting and waiting, trying to get to THEIR goal weight for me so that I can ease back in to normal life with their stabilization program.
Maybe they are stressing my body fat percentage as goal rather than weight because they secretly think I don't need to lose more weight and they just want to have something to keep me on their program and keep paying for their products!
ALSO, today at my WI, the MRC chick said "well your BMI is going in the right direction. You are at a BMI of 20. Goal is 14.5 - 18.5." Uh...WHAT!? EVERYTHING I've ever read says that any BMI under 18.5 is considered UNDERWEIGHT and very unhealthy and that anything between 18.5-24 is considered healthy.
Sorry for all the negativity but I'm just SO FRUSTRATED!

I totally understand your frustration and really wish I had something to offer you! All I can say is to hang in there and do what you feel is best because you're right, you've come this far to just throw it all away if you don't go in to maintenance!! And you're right about the 18.5 BMI. I just looked and it says anything under that is considered underweight. Who are they kidding?!

That's exactly it. I've been doing this for just over a month now and why throw it all away if I can get to their goal in 2-4 more weeks. I just feel like because I didn't have much to lose in the beginning, I DO workout (a lot actually...they cut me back quite a bit while on the program), I know more about food/diet/nutrition than the average person and I'm a competitive adult athlete...they want to turn me in to some sort of poster child for the center with an unbelieveable end result. Well that's all fine and dandy but I love good food, desserts, alcohol, and socializing! I'm not going to be 21% body fat or 120 lbs being 6 foot tall. It's not MY GOAL! My goal was to feel better about myself in my clothes, which I have accomplished. Ugh...
Sorry again for all the negativity. Thanks for listening and offering your input.
If you don't mind sharing...what are your goal body fat percentages?
When I reached my center goal weight (160 lbs) she did a Tanita reading on me, my body fat percentage was 37%......the goal body fat percentage for me is 23-34%. I requested a copy of the slip of paper to keep for me because it showed my goal weight on it. I started stabilization the following week. I was told at my center (and have read on here too!) that you will continue to lose at least 6 lbs during stabilization so the body fat percentage will go down during stabilization. I think the staff member you saw today doesn't know what she is doing....lol! I would request to talk to the center manager about your concerns. I agree that a BMI of 18 is considered underweight and you don't want to look or feel unhealthy and you certainly don't want to be underweight! You are paying good money for their advice so if you are not happy with what they are telling you I would definitely talk to the manager! Good luck.....let us know what they tell you!

I think the ladies at my center are sick of me! haha I actually just sorta switched to this lady last week (not because I asked but because she kinda stole me). She's a hard-core fitness person who competes in competitions and everything. I think she wants to turn me in to her and that's the problem. Ugh...I go back tonight for a class (not because I want to but because they think I need to) and I may ask her to clarify what she said about BMI being ideal from 14.5-18.5. I kind of want to put her on the spot.
Hello everyone! This is day 4 of being OP. I have been on the Yellow menu but start the Blue tomorrow. Yeah! I get an egg for breakfast! I weigh in on Saturday. I am hoping for good news. I have stayed 100% on program so far (and it has NOT been easy!) I just keep trying to imagine all the things that I want so badly to do, wear a swimming suit, run around with my kids, shop in the misses section! Anyway, enough about me, how are all of you doing?
I just tried a new recipe for dinner, Lasagna Blanco (uses chicken, zuchini, green onion/pepper, provolone cheese and the cream of chicken w/veggies. My only concern that I just realized is that I ate the cheese for dinner and I believe I'm only supposed to have it for lunch 3 times a week. The recipe came from my center, however, it doesn't specify what meal it can be used for. I hope that doesn't screw me up royally! Argh and after I jsut came through my plateau!! Can anyone offer me any advice on this?

I can tell you that sounds really really good! (of course I am HUNGRY as usual!)
I don't know about the cheese though, I am not to that menu yet!
So I've got some challenges ahead. Tomorrow night is my last Thursday night hang out with friends and I haven't cheated during any of them but it's the last one and I'm moving away this summer and part of me wants to celebrate with them. Then Saturday night is graduation dinner and I've already that's worth a cheat. Finally I agreed to dinner Monday night with friends which I think they're ordering pizza because they have a 6 week old and so I don't know what to do with that situation.
I know it won't kill me if I have 3 off program meals but it will def slow me down and I'm not sure how much or how long it would take to ramp back up again.
Welcome! I plan my meals a week in advance...make my menu for the week shop on Sunday and prepare anything in advance, cook chicken and freeze in 4oz bags, I keep my bread in the freezer and only take out one piece at at a time...it keeps for a good couple of weeks. Preparation is the key for me on this diet, I have a very busy life (I know we all do) but without knowing what I am having I would just eat whatever I could find...I also plan meals for my family too, I love my crockpot! Had it for 15 years and only now I am using it weekly for my family...It makes my life easier...
I forgot about freezing bread. *facepalm* And I like your idea of fixing the meals on Sunday, I should get into the habit of that asap anyway. Bringing your own lunch to work is always healthier than the cafe down the street. I just need to get that tattooed into my brain.
