I ended up eating a banana because that's the only thing that's ever solved the problem before but I'd like to be able to fix it without going off program. I checked the multi-vitamin from MRC that I'm taking and it doesn't list potassium as far as I can tell.

So if anyone has any suggestions that would be great thanks!
Fireice....

My center recommended the Liquid Minerals---I was getting them as soon as I started on program and yes they do kill! The very first day I took my first shot of the LM my cramps went away...a miracle! I just take a quick 1 oz. shot in the morning!

Have you ladies found that weighing in during your time of the month usually shows little to no progress in weight loss? I have a feeling my water weight is up since bloating usually comes with the usual TOM symptoms.

My goal (not the center's goal) is to be at goal weight and start stabilization by May 20th but I think that's impossible now.
I really think that the TOM makes a difference. I should be having TOM anytime now and this week I havent lost very much at all and I have been following the plan perfectly and I take all the supplements and drinks they tell you to. So I am hoping I will see a bigger change next week after the dreaded TOM.

They still show me at 206.5, but I'm not too worried about that (of course I am but I know it's going to come down).

What do some of you do with you ribbons? I'm looking for some ideas. I don't want to just put it in a drawer. I want to keep it visible as a reminder.
19 inches...WOW!! I've lost 10.5 pounds and only lost 6 inches. I thought the lady seemed a little disappointed when she told me, but I didn't have the heart to ask her if 6 inches was good or bad. Oh well, this dumb body has been stubborn my whole life (except when it's 'adding' pounds!), so I shouldn't expect anything different now!! My little 6 inch ribbon looks pretty insignificant, but it's just the beginning.

Congratulations to you!

Forgot to mention that my counselor said she tied her ribbons around her rearview mirror in the car so she sees them everyday.

I have been having the same exact problem....I am on day 18 and I was down 16 lbs last Saturday---after 12 days! Now I got weighed in on Wednesday after work and I'm up 1.5 lbs! Last week the same thing happened---I was up 1.5 lbs. and then 2 days later on Sat...I lost 7 lbs! Yes, it was the morning but that is a huge difference. I told my counselor that I hate going on Wednesdays! I wish I could just go on Saturdays...it keeps me more motived when I know that I am losing---keep plugging along!

Congratulations to you too!! that's so awesome! You've lost that much and don't think of it as 'only 6 inches'! I'd be gosh darn proud of those inches!! Your ribbon is NOT insignificant!!! When did you start the program? I began pre-conditioning on 4/9, so it's been 4 weeks ago today. I've also been exercising at least every other day. I've also hit a plateau that I've been on for a week and it is VERY frustrating but I'm determined to get through it!!

I've not been doing well lately. Yesterday I had some soup for lunch and of course was up to 170 on my scale this morning because of probably salt. My boss took us out to lunch today and we went to an Italian restaurant so of course I had bread and then shrimp and chicken with pasta so tomorrow I'll probably be up some more. It's that TOM and I was having hard time during the last one so I know it will get better and I'll drop 2-3 pounds after but it's hard during.

I'm just frustrated at how sensitive my body is to just one meal off. It makes me worry that once I get to maintenance I'm not going to be able to eat "normal" foods because my body just reacts badly to them. I just am losing so slowly and it's really frustrating me. Even when I'm perfect on plan I still only lose about 2 1/2 pounds a week. I can't seem to get up to the 3 that they guarantee.

between the good ol' TOM showing up nearly a week early, my boyfriend telling me he can't come over tonight because he told "someone he wld be somewhere" and when that fell through now suddenly HE'S doing his own laundry *bull**** sneeze* which wasn't important enough to keep him from going where ever he was gonna go, and my boss riding my *** because she doesn't have enough to keep her occupied so she thinks running around *****ing at people about NOTHING is going to give her something to do, I've had a pretty ****ty day.

but I lost 4 lbs this week. and right now i don't even care.

Today I wore trousers that I hadn't worn in two years to work! I didn't have to stuff myself in them, and they weren't even too tight. I'd LOVE for them to be too big...but one day at a time. A student in my clinic today commented that I looked like I was losing weight...not sure if they were just sucking up so I'd let them go home or not. But I'll take it! Non scale victories rock!

Hey everyone, I went to WI yesterday, and I'm down 6 lbs.! (since I started). My counselor seemed to have expected me to lose more, but I'm O.K. with that (especially since TOM came today). I also found out from her that I was supposed to be taking my HNS's WITH my meals; I was taking them between. Sure has made a difference in how hungry I feel-- I didn't feel hungry at all today, and even couldn't finish all of my salad at lunch.

'Sorry, I got cut off somehow. Has anyone else experienced this, and what did you do, if anything. Maybe my body will adjust. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day, and I would just like to issue a challenge to everyone to not use this day as an excuse to go OP. We've all worked too hard, and it's really not worth it. Just think how good you're going to look NEXT Mother's Day when you've stayed OP!
