I have been struggling with getting all my water on some days because I need to drink the fiber drink in the afternoon to stay full until dinner. My counselor told me to mix fiber into my HNS so I can drink more clear water. She suggested to mix the fiber with the lemon HNS because it was super tasty... and it was awesome!
As I am sitting here drinking my new favorite mix...I was wondering if anyone else did this and what other flavor HNS tasted good mixed with the fiber?
I knew I knew of someone that was on the same for about 3 weeks. How did you get through it? I'm on day 11 hovering around 203-203.5 and it's taking just about everything in me right now not to just go and get some M&M's. I know I've lost inches and all but why won't the scale move! How did you keep on it for nearly 3 weeks? Any tips/suggestions? I would welcome anything at this point!
It is frustrating...I would be lying if I said that I haven't eaten in frustration during this time, but only foods that would be considered to be on plan. I am working on taking my focus off of food. The mental struggle for me is FAR greater than the physical struggle.

I mix it with grape HNS and grapefruit HNS quite often. I don't like how sweet it is and the lemon and grapefruit really take some of the sweetness away. I have tried mixing it with almost all of the fruit flavored HNS. I don't remember any of them being really horrible.

Thanks for the info! I just called my center to check. They didn't advise against the 16 oz. of water mixed with it but they said that for best results it is most important to down it with my meal and to make sure that I am not sipping on it after I am done eating. Maybe because that is a lot of water to quickly drink they advise the max of 8 oz? I don't know if that helps anyone, but it clarified some things for me. I am probably going to use less water next time.

Okay...gained a pound at weigh in today...which is probably water, or clothes or something but I'm down and out about it. I came home and ate like 10 pieces of melba toast (whoaaaaa splurge huh.). Now I'm mad at myself. I guess I could have splurged on something worse, but I really needed to munch on crunchy things today. Sigh. Now what.

Since I started running I have had a cheat here and there on the weekends, and still I have lost 2 pounds a week minimum. I am careful of what those cheats are and the quantities and certainly just one cheat a week if that... not an all day binge. I have had ice cream, Doritos, wine, pizza w/hummus...yes pizza it is amazing from a pizza place called Mellow Mushroom... As long as I continue to drop the weight I feel satisfied staying focused on my meals and being OP for 98% of the time...I know this behavior will probably delay me getting to goal for a month, but I'd rather have the odd treat here and there than to drive myself crazy being obsessed with what I CAN"T have. I am down 35 pounds and feel great...40 or so to go.

I actually didn't gain weight, I just got out of ketosis and did not lose any for that week. They have told me that when I consume alot of carbs my system goes out of ketosis and it takes your body 3 days to get back into ketosis. Which since I weigh once a week, it only leaves me maybe 4 days to burn some more weight off! I have managed to cheat on a few occasions, I even had japanese food on Mothers Day, but I figured a splurge was allowed for this occasion. And man, was the fried rice fantastic. I think I appreciate the starchy food way more now than I ever did. Anyway, no more blabbering, hope this helps!

i didn't gain anything but alcohol cost me a week of loss. i cheat on occasion or have starch at lunch rather than fruit when i'm out of town. not many restaurants serve fruit... seriously. *shrug* i just try to keep it close and go with the flow. i've had one tiny piece of some kind of candy per week the last few weeks and i've lost more than i had been before. i'm thinking the addition of something different shocked my system out of the slow mode it had been in for a long time. i also started only weighing once per week because i like hearing the weekly total and not having to think about it. i will have my nibble the day of weigh in *don't figure it can make me gain back everything i've lost for the week in just a few hours* and then i have the entire week to make up for it. mostly it's water weight that you'll put on and that comes off easier than what we're actually trying to lose. i just hated that i cost myself a week for one shot of scotch. if i'd known i was going to lose a week, i'd'a had more than just one shot! but that's just me.
Went to WI this morning and was down 3.5 pounds since last Thursday. I would be excited about it, but for me it is so completely random. I have been following the plan pretty much exactly for about a month. Three weeks of it were spent at nearly the exact same weight and then I went up 4.0 pounds and since then I have lost 7.0 pounds. I keep telling myself that I am just going to keep following the plan since I KNOW that it works. My body must be making some sort of adjustments right now.
I am nearly to my halfway point using the MRC scale. In theory I will sign the 70 pound board on Thursday, because I am only 0.5 pounds away right now. At the rate that my body has been going though, who knows?

Hi! Boy, do i hear you!! I have been fighting a two week plateau, gaining and losing the same two pounds. I THINK I am FINALLY moving in the right direction! It is so frustrating, I read on here about people who cheat all the time here and there, and I have not cheated at all, yet i still got hung up! I am terrified to cheat if my body resists so much even keeping OP. I sure hope that means when (and if) i ever get to my goal that i will have a hard time maintaining..Oh well, this is still the BEST diet program that i have ever, ever tried. NOTHING else I have ever tried over my whole life works like this! I am sorry for saying IF, I WILL do this!!!!! This board is pretty much my whole means of support and hearing all the success stories keeps me going when i feel down. THANKS everyone!!
2.5 last week.....was hoping for more but at least I'm losing. 8.5 pounds so far in 2 weeks. I weigh in tomorrow for my 3rd week. I'm looking for some high numbers!!

I didn't cheat very much but I did let myself have a day off on the holidays (ie Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). I gained around 5 lbs. each time I did it which was kind of scary for me. I would always get right back on the next day so I would lose it fast again. It was obviously mostly water weight. Before I started stabilization, I was afraid that I would still gain like that when I cheated but now that I'm almost done with stabilization I've found that you're body doesn't freak out as much when you cheat because it is used to having more carbs, calories, etc. I splurged this weekend (I mean really splurged from Friday to Sunday with pizza, ice cream, cake, etc.) and only gained 3 lbs. I got right back on Monday morning and it's starting to come off again. I'm starting to realize that this is how my life is going to be from now on. I can splurge here or there but my daily routine has to be different than it was before MRC. If I stay disciplined on the "normal" days then when those splurges happen, I'll be able to recoup and maintain my weight.

Shake it off and move on! You're doing great! If you're staying OP that one pound has to be water. There's no way you can gain a pound of fat on this diet! Hang in there and it will come off plus more!

Did you break your plateau?? I need details here I was on the verge of doing my happy dance when I read this but wasn't sure if you dropped any or not! You will get to your goal....I'm cheering for you!

You're doing great!! Congrats on the 8.5 lbs!! Don't be disappointed if you don't show a loss at your next weigh in. Some people hit plateaus after being on program about 10 days or so. Hopefully it won't happen, but just be mentally prepared in case.

I have had some cheats too but manage to lose what I gain in a matter of days. The weight gain depends on how much I ate/drank during my cheat. Sometimes if it is a few days then I gain about 4 lbs. I went OP immediately after and lost the 4 lbs in about 2 days. When I had my first cheat (one month into the diet) I was stuck on a plateau for about 3 weeks (could have been the alcohol ) but lately since I have been on this diet for 4 months it seems that either I don't gain much or I gain a little and it's gone as soon as I go OP....water weight I guess. I have had drinks....a couple, not just one. I think it might have something to do with being at goal weight or close to it....not really sure.
