That gets me into the first week of September to lose the last 14 lbs (or maybe 19 lbs, depending on how 130 feels when I get there).

I'm 3 lbs away from the 40 lb board and I will be doing the stabilization class this month.

WOW
--you have really re-dedicated yourself to the program--I am SO impressed! And jealous of those free weeks! You'll be signing that 40 lb board in no time!! Well done

snflrgrl1962: Your trip sounds fantastic--thanks for sharing and a huge pat on the back for sticking to good choices. We are going on vacation in September and I hope I can also make good choices.

donuts: So good to hear from you and hear how you are doing I'm gladto hear Denise is going to lead the peer inspiration class because she truly is an inspiration, as you have also been.

Hello Ladies (and a few gentlemen)- I have been a constant lurker on this board, but since I have hit a brick wall, I feel maybe I should become active and you all could help.
I joined MRC at the end of March 2008 (food class March 28th) so for all effective purposes, I have been doing the program since April.
Yesterday I finally hit the 30 pound board (Yeah! But it was hard to get there - 3 weeks worth of only 1/2 pound losses!) My problem is this:
My program is over on August 1st. That is 3 weeks and I still have 20 pounds to go!!!! My average loss has only been 2.25 pounds per week. At that rate, I will still be 13 pounds from my goal at the end of this program. I need help and advice on how to drop more weight!!! Please help.
About me:
OP since April 08 - MetaSlim Green Menu currently.
Water is never a problem - it's all I drink - minimum of 101 oz a day (6 half liter bottles - 16.9 oz.)
Taking: Enhancer, MRC6, Flax, Daily Vit, Chromium
Mom of two (6 and 3 years of age)
Starting weight 196 current 166 goal 146
Many thanks in advance!
Sandy

The Jacobson's toast is a "snack toast" (says the box) - the nutritional facts say 1 serving size is 1 slice (each slice is apprx 4.5 inches long) - 40 calories, 0 fat calories, 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 45mg sodium, 8g carbs, 0 fiber, 3 sugars, & 1 protein.

I would think you can have this stuff at the begining of the program since it is only 40 cal - and they recommend we eat the 40 cal melba toast or 45 cal bread....I'm eating it now (I'm on the green menu) at breakfast sometimes - but not everyday - cause it's REALLY tasty. Almost like cheating, and I usually finish my one slice and want another. I've only had the blueberry - and I found it at Bakers/Krogers right by the melba toast. It may not be the "perfect" choice - but it makes me smile when I have it.

Unfortunately, cellulite is a hereditary factor in our bodies, you can minimize the appearence of it, but not totally get rid of it, no matter what size you are. You can tone up your legs and bum, and use a good cellulite lotion, and it will help, but you will still have some visible cellulite. I had the same question, and did a lot of research.

Hey- the big 4-0 is Monday for me. ('68 was a good year!) I just wish I'd started with MRC six months ago so I could join my family by the pool for our vacation next week. Oh, well- NEXT year!
oh, go enjoy that pool, enjoy, celebrate the pounds that you have already shed!

Lately I've been more of a lurker than a poster. I guess I don't spend as much time on the computer during the warmer months. Part of me feels that I want to move on, part of me wants to see how everone here is doing, and part of me wants to be supportive of all you guys. BTW, you guys ROCK! I love reading about your successes and how you overcome your struggles.

Let me tell you how important it is to lay the groundwork during the weight loss phase to be successful during the maintenance phase. By groundwork I mean how you handle your setbacks. If you think you won't have setbacks after you reach your goal weight, think again. As I read in one of your current posts about not waiting to get back on plan after an off plan day. It's the same when you are on maintenance. If you can act on a 2 to 5 pound weight gain it's a lot easier than dealing with a 15 to 20 pound weight gain. I weigh myself once a week. If I notice a small weight gain, I get a little stricter with my meal planning. I don't wait until "Monday" to start. I start that very day.

There is a great poem in the book "Life is Hard Food is Easy" written by the author Linda Spangle. Here it is:

Food is wonderful!
In fact, food is my best friend,
but lately I'm aware that
my friend is hurting me,
making me uncomfortable,
sabotaging my goals,
causing me grief and guilt,
possibly destroying my life.
Today I made a decision
it's time to get a new friend.

You will need new healthier "friends" to replace your food friend like new interests, hobbies, etc.

Goal4Life, Congrats on reaching "Stabilization"!!! You will do well. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me. I would always be happy to help in any way I can.
Darren!!! So glad to "see" you!! You know, a few pages back, I said the same thing about my "old friends" (brownies, cookies, pasta, etc), they did nothing for me, except make me feel bad.
I am doing good so far on stabilization...scary adding certain foods back. I actually know what my trigger foods are, so I don't even choose them. I am sticking to what I know is best. You are so right about the groundwork of weightloss. MRC was the first time I truly dedicated changing to myself, and really made a vow to me for health and emotional peace with my body. How you learn to react to food and emotions really has to come together before you can truly commit to change.
Denise will be a phenominal peer inspiration speaker! She and I "began" together in this journey, I love following her, and her dedication is so inspiring, she helped me see that my choices to remain stringent were ok.
Glad to know that you are lurking my friend! Keep up your hard work, I know you are enjoying your "new livlihood", and I am sure your little ones and DW are also.

Yes, that is the right stuff! Yes they have apple cinnamon at our Publix in GA. And, yes, they are legal for the program. Just 1 piece is a serving, they can be tempting to have 2 or more. I know in the beginning, they wouldn't have been in my house, I had to eliminate all temptations, but know, I like having them as an option.

That is true, every center is different, as I have learned from this site. Mine promotes them as an on plan choice.

Alexiah-
Metaquick is a strict week of HNS and a bar or shake at breakfast and lunch and a standard green menu dinner. I have it in my back pocket to use if ever needed. So far, I haven't needed to do it. I have seen some comments on this board that some centers don't recommend it. Mine does. Apparently, the Metaquick menu will either work for your really well, or not at all. There doesn't seem to be an in between.
I have 3 weeks left to get to my goal (before stabilization) so I am looking very hard at doing metaquick next week. (Especially if the scale doesn't move but a half pound like its been doing!)
Talk to your center though, and I'll let you all know if I do it and how well (or not) it works!

You can find it in most grocery stores in the tea section. It's a small red or brown box. It's official name is 'Laci Le Beau Super Dieter's Tea'. I've always used it in the past to help things get moving along, but only once in a great while, but now with this new diet I have found that I need to drink it every day.

Yeah that's exactly how he worded it also, but I have the feeling he didn't really know what he was talking about, exactly, because at first he was kinda looking around going 'um um'. But hey it's all good, as long as I get the support I need to lose the weight I'm happy!!!

I have a question:
Has anyone taken the MRC multi vitamin? I began it today and I feel like I am needing to use the bathroom a lot. Very bloated and gassy. (Nice conversation topic, eh?) Anyway, I needed to start taking one and theirs was avail. I am taking it to the health food store along with all of my other supplements as soon as I am ready for a refill. You all seem to be able to find the same thing elsewhere. I just wanted to start on the right foot! But, did anyone have that problem? I have taken multi vits before, but not had this reaction.

I also have anxiety issues, I take medication for it. Even starbucks coffee gives me problems, but the enhancer does not make me jittery or nervous. What I have noticed is that 15-20 minutes after taking it, I feel nauseas (spelling wrong I know) and sick to my stomach for a few minutes and then suddenly dissapears. It is weird.
