Every person's body is different. I get so frustrated when I see people who are MUCH heavier than I am, but they don't have a trace of cellulite. Conversely, I teach high school and there are very fit looking teenagers who already have it. I have had lipo, I have been 40 pounds thinner and 20 pounds heavier. I have always had cellulite and it gets worse the more I yo-yo. The best thing to do (per plastic surgeon friend of mine) is lay off caffeine, drink a lot of water, strength train those areas and do a lot of aerobic activity to burn it. Sounds easy, right! LOL Just remember, 80% of women have cellulite! It does suck for us, but at least we can wear great looking clothes that hide it and accentuate our good parts.

I read "The Cellulite Solution," which basically is summed up in your post, Shenanigan. No caffeine, lots of water, excercise. Wish I'd have talked to you before I spent the money to buy it!!

Hey- the big 4-0 is Monday for me. ('68 was a good year!) I just wish I'd started with MRC six months ago so I could join my family by the pool for our vacation next week. Oh, well- NEXT year!

Regarding differences in centers- I go to one that has a calendar jam-packed with classes, motivational weigh-ins, yoga, etc. The counselors are so excited and happy that I have to wonder if they're hitting the liquid minerals a little hard. I feel like I've run a mile every time I go in there! However, I think each center is different and have noticed a definite difference in how they price the plan, based on the posts here. I don't know if individual counselors have that flexibility, or if the center provides the boundaries. Either way, it's a little concerning.

I am still the same weight as when I signed up. I am so mad at myself. I have updated my weight ticker and I have started again today. I don't know what is wrong with me. I have all of the tools to do this. I went and bought a new bike last week and I have not got on the thing.

I plan to go to the center today and weigh in and commit to starting over. One thing that I have noticed is that I get no support from the counselors at the center. There are no classes etc. I feel like they could care less if I am on the diet or not. I am very dissappointed about that part of it.

Anyway I am here and I will succeed. This is a great plan and I love this group. I have been a lurker but not anymore.

By the way I purchased a vidalia onion chopper and used it last night preparing my veggies for the week and that thing is wonderful! I chopped mushrooms, peppers, and cucumbers. It was so easy and the clean up is easy! I got it at CVS, but you can find them just about anywhere.

Have a good day everyone!
Don't wait until Monday to start over...start over at the next meal... It's harder to do the longer you put it off. So, jump back on the saddle right away. I've struggled myself all weekend & had the "day from h-e-double hockey sticks." I haven't been OP since last Wed., but I haven't behaved horribly either...just not OP. Tomorrow morning I'm back in the game - with you!

My journey seems so slow compared to some of the others, but at least it is steadily progressing. And I got the two free weeks for coming in both last Thursday and today. That gets me into the first week of September to lose the last 14 lbs (or maybe 19 lbs, depending on how 130 feels when I get there).

Our MRC office seems to really offer options -- weekly HNS giveaways, several classes a week, a clothing swap, etc., so guess we are lucky. Makes you wonder why some of these options aren't available at other sites. Some of you may want to ask about them for your centers, as it really is a motivator to continue.

Gma to 4...Great on signing the 3 lb board! That's awesome.

Personal update.

WI today and was down 1 lb so that's 6 in the last week and I got a free week for that and another 2 free weeks for buying more MRC6 (b/c I needed more pills, darnit!UGH). I went way off today (have a tendancy to do that on Mondays for some reason and then I get right back on track. I have been taking dieter's tea b/c I've been having issues in that area and it seems to be helping. I have to go drink some now. Fun, fun! I'm 3 lbs away from the 40 lb board and I will be doing the stabilization class this month.

bye for now.

You're so tiny tho...I bet you look great! Can't wait til I'm down another 30...that's when I'll be willing to wear it WITHOUT my tank top. :-)

6 lbs. in 1 week!!! Way to go! I average about 2 a week... Of course I've been gaining and losing the same 2 lbs. for about 2 1/2 weeks now...

And just why can't you join your family by the pool?! You shouldn't miss out on stuff like that - if your super self-concience stay in the water.

Rocki - good for you on another pound! What kind of "diet tea" are you drinking and where did you get it?? I'm thinking I might need some too!

Blueyedangel - A BIKINI??!! Wow - I'm so impressed!! I doubt I'll ever fill comfortable enough to wear one again. But then again - who knows...maybe I will someday.

It must be something that the Colorado centers focus on. Which one do you go to?

She was very nice and told me to come in twice a week and take it one week at a time. I asked her about my weeks because I have wasted May & June and she said as long as I come in twice a week and make an effort when my contract expires (10/10/08) she will not charge me a resign fee she will let me continue until I reach my goal. She said if I do not make an effort and no not come in to weigh then it is $129.00 resign fee with no limit until I reach my goal. I thought that was good. I was worried. Wish I had that in writing!
I'm glad you talked with the manager, they always seem more motivating and knowledgeable.

I asked about my contract today too, since I had paid $298 and they gave me only 13 weeks. Well he told me pretty much the same thing your manager told you, that as long as I followed the program and came in to weigh in that they would stick with me until I lost the weight and not make me pay anything extra. I was so happy to hear that. And actually, it IS in the contract, I just hadn't noticed it before.

WOOHOO congrats on 30 lbs gone forever!!!

My center does not give away free weeks but they do have classes several days a week which is nice. They have cooking classes, exercise classes, a successful client forum, and a series of classes called 'finding the connection'. I would love to go to all of them but it's hard with my schedule.

At that pace, that 40 lb board will be calling your name next week. Let us know when you go to the stabilization class. They talked to me about going to it the end of August, but I'm only losing about 2 lbs a week so that may be optimistic.

Shannon, 2 lbs is a great start for preconditioning. Keep it up! And enjoy your 40th!
