When I'm not sneaking prohibited caffeinated beverages from the vending machine, I have found that a crispy, cold Diet Hansen's soda or one of the sparkling strawberry waters from Wal-Mart helps perk me up a bit. Where you work, are you chained to your desk? It really helps me if I can get up and wander the halls for 10 minutes and say hey to a handful of people. When doing this, however, it is important to steer clear of the offices with candy dishes.

My biggest challenge right now is that I'm losing interest in eating. (I know...doesn't sound so bad, does it?) I'm really having to make myself pull together everything I'm supposed to have, such as the vegetables or the fruit or the starch. It's like I've gotten really lazy and I'm content with just the protein. I seriously think I'm just tired of cleaning up the kitchen.
Yes I AM chained to a desk, in front of the computer, all day, like you. Good tip about walking around for a bit, I really should be moving more anyway.

Sounds like you need more variety. What are you eating now? For my veggies I mix it up every day - I use the frozen steam bags of brocolli florets or mixed brocolli and cauliflower, or zuchini, or yellow squash, or brussel sprouts... the 8 ounces of cold salad is more time consuming and does not taste as good to me, so I have been sticking to the cooked veggies. Maybe you can take a La Tortilla factory tortilla, use a pizza cutter to cut them into wedges and then bake them to make 'chips'. Another thing I have done is to take my usual toasted low calorie bread, spray with the ICBINB spray, then sprinkling one packet of splenda and some cinnamon - nummy!

Yep - MRC is restrictive. Unrestricted eating, however, is what got me into MRC's door. Whenever I'd start feeling like "This is too HAAAARRRRDDDD", it was that devil in me who loves chips & fries & double cheeseburgers begging for a fix.

The reason pretzels help "keep you awake" is the sugar rush from the carbs. And maybe the crunch. Try to keep your fruit choice at lunch to berries, melon, etc - the lower glycemic choices. That way you won't be getting quite as much sugar & won't "crash" later in the afternoon. And make sure you're getting all your protein for lunch. Have some type of a creamy, maybe, for a mid-afternoon snack to help keep you going.

It ain't easy, and I doubt that anyone ever went through without the occasional straying from the program. Just do the best you can and you'll get there!
Thanks Meemo! I will try all of that, and yes, you are right, MRC is restrictive, but there's a reason for it, and I really don't want to go back to my old ways and then being uncomfortable all day because my pants are too tight, and feeling self conscious as I pull my shirt down over my belly to try and hide it.

The enhancer would be the All Day. I take my supplements about 10-15 minutes before I eat. I don't know that I've ever heard a specific time frame, but maybe someone else can chime in.

When I signed up I bought a trial size bottle of the Metabolic Enhancer - that is exactly what it says on the bottle - here is the description - "Helps increase metabolism, suppress appetite, stabilize blood sugar levels, lowers cholesterol, enhances circulation, improves digestion". I think is does help with controlling hunger and cravings a little bit.

At the food orientations meeting they will give you a sheet that has 2 "starter packs" on it for a set amt of money (not too bad of a price as a package deal) The starter pack I bought had the B6, multi-vitamin, liquid mineral, Triphala(internal cleanser),5 boxes of HNS, the cookbook, & a waterbottle for $141 I think. I bought the Corti-Thin and the Enhancer as well. I bought flax oil pills at Target. I think all these pill help me but who knows for sure - I haven't gone without any of them for any length of time yet.

I'm am very happy with the 11.5 inches lost - I'm on day 19 today. So something is definately working for me! I really need to concentrate on planning out my meals better though - it should help me stick to plan better like the girls are saying.

Oops! I also meant to tell you they told me to take the "before" meals pills in between meals - like an hour before lunch and an hour or so before dinner.

No - the MRC hoodia I had had cayenne in it (don't know if it still does). I don't remember the name, but it's with the other diet stuff. They might carry more than one brand, but it was all cheaper than MRC's.

Actually if anyone else is taking the enhancer and can help that would be appreciated! I might be able to save some money and just try and take what i have..thanks!
It doesn't make me feel jittery at all. I also have anxiety problems & I take Xanax. ( Sux, huh?) There was something MRC has that they told me I couldn't take, but I don't remember what it was. I don't have any problems with the Enhancer or Hoodia. I bet you'll be ok with them also

Enhancer is another supplement that MRC offers. It helps curb your appetite and I believe it is a thermogenic.

I decided to resign tomorrow. Even tho $$ is tight, I just think I won't be able to do this on my own yet. I have too far to go. I'm going to leave my goal the same, even tho I really want to be more like 135. I guess I can always lower it??? Is that right? I'm gonna do 17 weeks again. This round, I at least know what to expect, what to do & what not to do. I'm gonna stick to it all better - it's a new start from the beginning.

And, I'm hoping to hit that 30 pound board that has been eluding me for so long...but, I bet it'll be next week...

I went ahead today & treated myself to my 30 pound board award...even tho I'm not quite there. My 14 year old daughter & I got pedicures. OMG! I've been missing out on so much! I loved it. My legs & feet feel so soft & our toes are so cute! LOL I think this will be my 10 pound award from now on!

My little NSV - Today a customer called me skinny! She hadn't seen me for about 2 weeks & said I look so great! Told her she is my bestest friend EVER!!! And, then the lady doing my pedi wanted to know if my daughter was my little sister! Cracked me up! It's a good day! Now, if WI will go as well tomorrow...

Great NSV~! And good for you for resigning - I know we are being given the right tools to do this on our own, but I'd be scared to go it alone too. When you say your starting over - does that mean back to the yellow menu, etc? and what do they charge you to resign - hopefully not as much as the original plan price?

I have a 14yr old as well - mine is a boy - doubt he'd appreciate the pedi. But I love getting them!

Haha! You could ask him! I was just laughing to myself about the same thing. I have a 7 yr old son.... don't think he'd want one either!

I made Dave (my hubby) get a pedi with me once, and all he would say is:

"I'll give you this... It is awesome!!! Now I understand WHY you have them done"

LOL! Of course I wasn't allowed to tell people about it, but he did enjoy it a lot.

Congrats on the NSV! I love those!
