Hey Juliemarie_ I am 5 foot 6 and some sites say I am a large build and others say I am a medium build. I am not going to a center anymore but when I was going they said my ideal weight was 130 but that did not take into context my larger frame. I got to 133 and was pretty happy, but felt I needed to lose more. I think I would be happy with 130-125. I have a history of eating disorder so I try to just watch the scales and check the websites to see what my ideal weight is. Most say anywhere from 115-145 is healthy. I just want to be toward the lower end. If anyone has any suggestions about finding out more about what MY ideal weight should be, let me know. I know I looked pretty good at 133 but still could have stood to lose 5-10 more lbs. I do some moderate exercise abou 3 times a week and this was the same plan I was on before and lost almost 3 lbs a week until I hit about 137 and then 1.5-2 after that. I am considering changing my goal but want some other input first.

Carmen- to find out what frame size you are, put your arm out to the side with hand facing up at a 90 degree angle. Face your palm out. You can feel the two bones on the sides of your elbow. Take a calliper and measure the distance between the bones. Mine is almost 3 in. putting me a large frame. I also am having trouble with finding a realistic weight because my I don't have a realistic body image. I always see fat no matter how small I get. I have to rely on the scales to tell me when to quit. There are lots of websites that tell you other ways to measure your frame size. I know if you are over 2.5 in between those elbow bones you are considered a large frame.

Stephanie - Okay, everyone around me now thinks I'm crazy . I don't have a caliper but I tried to do it without moving my fingers after I dug through the excess flab to find the bones. I measure well above 3 inches. I did it on both sides just to make sure.

Carmen, another way I read to guage frame size that won't make your coworkers report you.

Large frame, but your hands around your wrist, if your thumb and index finger DO NOT touch, this is you.

Medium- thumb and index touch

Small- thumb and index overlap.

Hey chickies - Well tomorrow starts my challenge day #1 - I think I'm going to do unlimited TO with canteloupe - got the cant. today at the store. I had much better success with the first TO (unlimited) than the 2nd for limited and oranges, so now, I'm going to try unlimited - since I'm working out and training.....we'll see - if nothing else - it should jumpstart my body for the next 12 days with the shakes!! is it 10 or 12 - I know there was some discussion on this.......

Carmen and Kristi - I would love to join in on your weigh in days - that way we can be accountable - I will only be 2 days behind!! Is that okay??

I'm excited - ready to jump start this loss again - wow - how many times have I said that?

this is the method I have always heard and it seems very accurate to me--I WISH I could say I am large framed--no such luck! Thanks DF--you know all the tricks!

Stephanie, I am stalled too. I took off like a rocket when I started the challenge, but my scale at home has said the same thing for the last 5 days or so..... I don't know.... tomorrow I stop the shake and go back to eating OP... we'll see if that moves things!

JulieM, I thought about that too - ahh the confusion. I will have DH do it tonight if I am speaking to him by then. (Forever never lasts that long, does it?)

Carmen - so when are you gals weighing?? I can go with you guys - are you doing every 2 weeks? or not until the end?

We just had a health fair a week or so ago and you can take your thumb and pointer finger and try to wrap it around the opposite wrist - if you can't get all the way - your medium - if you can your small and if you are a good ways off - you are large....that is what I seem to figure from them ....so maybe you could try that in addition

Kristi, I am LOVING not weighing in for one month. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders...no stress of gaining 0.2, losing 0.4, etc. I'm just looking forward to where I end off after 4 weeks!

I love not weighing. Ah....the freedom. Have you guys seen those commercials where the people are walking around with a scale chained to their ankle? The are pretty funny, and me, to a T.

Hey guys!
I weighed in this afternoon and I was up .2. I honestly wasn't that upset because remember the wine and sushi Thursday and the beer Friday that I had??? I have been good since, and so I am confident I will see a loss on Friday when I go in. (Do I sound confident?)

Not much going here with me---have a 3rd Grade Spring Concert and PTA tonight at my school.......
I thinkI am going to make chicken salad again! love it!
***My class is meeting next Monday at OLIVE GARDEN (my college class) I could skip it, not sure what to do or eat. Suggestions?? I looked in the plan book, and nothing in there sounded all that good too me. I could have salad and bring my own dressing??? Will people think I am weird?
