  • Thanks Tina....

It wasnt a big piece at all. It was the size of my fist maybe... I will probably have half of the shake with lots of ice when i get home!
  • Kristi - I'm not a big breakfast person, so I prefer mine at breakfast time. But, I also eat a fruit with it, otherwise I'm feeling like I constantly eat from 3 p.m. til 7 p.m.
  • Kristi- I work 10 hour shifts and have a 30 min drive to work so it's hard for me to stretch out my food. I eat a Luna bar and fruit for breakfast (more like morning snack), have my shake, a F, and V for lunch, my 2nd Luna in the mid-afternoon, and split the rest b/w dinner and evening snack. I also add the extra fruits and veggies in if I get hungry b/w meals/snacks. I find that if I have my shake for dinner, I do a lot more snacking.
  • I've been having them for dinner (this weekend I had them for breakfast however). That way I get most of my food in earlier in the day. I sure noticed a difference on the scale right away when I started doing this.
  • Oh, Juliemarie, how I wish I could do that!! During the day is when I need the most fuel but I am SUCH a horrible night time snacker. How do you do it? If I go to bed early I am OK but since my fiance and I are living together we are always up til midnight or so. Somehow I am going to manage to get that Shake for dinner and get my food in early, too. I'll just work my way up to it. Wish me luck!
  • I have mine for breakfast too.
  • I go to bed at 10 or so, staying up til midnight would make it harder. I try to do the shake as late as possible (about 6:30-7pm) and blend it up with ice and a banana (2F) and eat it with 2 veggie servings (like broccoli-it's so filling). Then if I'm feeling snacky-I eat a sf jello cup or 2. Sometimes (like on America's next top model nite), I save a fruit or 2 so I can have a glass of wine.

    Basically here's my day-

B (6am)-1 1/2 scrambled eggbeaters w/1 or 2 oz red fat cheese on a whole wheat mini bagel

    S (10am) lite, maybe a fruit

L (11:30am-12pm): frozen meal plus 2 c spinach salad with ff dressing, maybe a few sunflower seeds for a fat, sometimes a bit of cheese for the rest of my dairy if I need it

S (3pm) lite, maybe a fruit if I have one left

    D-(7pm) shake w/banana, 2 cups broccoli/cauliflower/asparagus/spinach

S: sf jello (condiment), sometimes a glass of wine

I know how hard it is to get over evening snacking. Maybe you could enlist your fiance to help with this. Try to not snack for 1 nite, then 2. See how you feel. I really like waking up hungry and having such an awesome breakfast.
  • Thanks for the sample! I have been having so much trouble spreading all my foods out! I GOTTA get a blender to mix my shakes...that would be wonderful. I do well with snacking at night....I only eat veggies and fruit....but I know that I shouldn't eat after supper at all. I'm going to try the no snacking thing starting tonight...shouldn't be hard since I have to do fundraising till late. I'll just throw some carrot sticks in my purse so I am not tempted by the yummy popcorn where I am going to be. Thanks again!!!
  • I have mine at lunch so I can eat dinner with my family when I get home.
  • Yeah-it's much easier to eat that way when you're single . . . .but hopefully not for long . . . I had a pretty darn good date last nite. Looks promising
  • Go Julie Marie!!!!!! Is he good enough for you? Would we approve? Details, details!
  • Well. . . .okay. So-I've been doing the eharmony thing for quite awhile. Had a couple of dates-no chemistry. Lots of rejection with matches closing on me immediately (I assume it's most because of the way I look-or because I'm Catholic).

Anyway-we started emailing last week, talked on the phone for an hour on Friday and went out last nite. Dinner and a movie. He's 8 years older than me, divorced, 1 child . .. .very nice, great smile, handsome face, overweight (but I don't mind) and get this-he thinks I'm absolutely beautiful Kinda nice. Anyway-plenty of chemistry. Maybe a little too much We'll definately be seeing more of each other.
  • Wow!!! Good for you chicka!!!!
  • Quote: You are beautiful! How exciting. Being an old married chick, I love to hear about new romances. Keep us posted.
    Haha, me too Kristi.
  • I'm with Kristi--love to hear romance stories! And you are beautiful so why wouldn't he say so--and maybe you will be good for him in making healthy choices! Been married 14 years so unfortunately my dates are few and far between anymore (with 2 girls, in a new town so no new babysitters broken in, and no family close enough!!) We are getting back to more regular "dates" but not as exciting as yours!!
