Its kind of a gloomy cool day here. I didn't get to set out on my deck this morning. The wind is also blowing. I had a bowl of oatmeal and fresh blueberries. Need to get busy. Have some kitchen work to do.

Crystle- Hope you get back to eat right soon. I know you will. A vacation is just what we need sometimes. And well worth eating a little over. I've had kind of a bad week of eating too.

Mercee- Sounds like a lovely week end. Ours was busy and nice.

Going to finish watching Rachael Ray then get busy. Hello Ellen, and Solly....

Default Ut oh...twice in one day

I'm on a roll. Look posting faithful. Okay, it is only one day but it is a start..LOL Got in a great walk this morning. A little slower than I would have hoped but I walked as fast as I could this morning and got in two 15 minute miles. Short of jogging that is all I could do. I also got in my counter push-ups. Eating was right on track. A corn tortilla with a little scrambled egg, mushroom, pepper, and onions. I lined the tortilla with some refrigerator pickles. Talk about delicious. They added just the right amount of punch to really amp up the flavor. I'm trying hard to really enjoy my food so I don't feel deprived. Which brings me to a question I have. I don't have to munch on meat to feel satisfied but often times I need the flavor, example beans. Do ya'll have any ideas for making things tasty without the meat fat?

I've already hung out one load of clothes today and changed the bed linen. Fixing to hang another. Getting early this morning has made a huge difference in my energy level.

Hope and pray ya'll are having a super day.

God bless,
Crystle

Hi ladies, almost time to head home but I wanted to pop in.

I have to run home and eat and then go get a pedicure. I am so vain. Forgive me. My baby will be there when I get home and I know I won't want to leave.
Dinner will be a pot pie. I normally use ww pie crusts, but did not have time to get out to Whole Foods so they are regular ones. Rest of eating today has been great.

Mercee, how nice of you to take your friend shopping. Your movie nights sounds fun. DD & I watched Up In the Air on Sat. It was OK.

Toni, It's a shame you cannot enjoy your deck this weekend and week. Maybe the weather man will miss it and it will turn out nice soon. I love to sit out on our patio and enjoy a glass of wine.

Crystle, back to reality now. Great job on your walking today. That is a pretty good clip at 15 minute mile. Keep it up and Wed will be better than you think.

Ellen, hope you are having a great day.

Have a great evening everyone. See you tomorrow

Goodness, where is everyone?

Sitting here having a protein shake. Yummy. This morning I had the genetic counseling and then the BRAC test to see if I carry the breast cancer gene. I only did it b/c my girls want to be tested and I have to be tested first. There is a 95 chance I carry it. It takes 2 weeks to get the results. It was very informative and interesting and very expensive. $3,500.00! But I have met my deductible and I met 3 of the criteria points for my insurance to pay for it.

The weather here is horrible, rain, rain and more rain. It is a shame to ruin all the derby festivities. It is supposed to be nice Thursday and that is the day of the big parade and the day we go to the track and a big derb party. We lucked out but they are calling for rain for the Oaks and Derby.

No big plans for tonight. Fixing parmesean chicken for dinner.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Default Howdy

Just got back from the dentist. Yuck. My youngest and I have some work we need done. Wish I could bury my head in the sand. But praise God it could have been worse.

I came home and had a fried egg sandwich. Figured that would be okay since it was breakfast and lunch.

Solly...praying you don't have the gene and neither will your girls. ((hugzz))

((Everybody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Ellen- I missed you aroung here, How is the vegan plan going for you?

Toni- Grocery shopping wears me out sometimes as well. Just think themn you have to go home and put everything away. I wonder if it counts as exercise. LOL

Happy WIW, I hope for everyone.

I was down 1 pound. I was fluctuating between numbers so I wills tick eith the 1 and have a jump on next week hopefully.

Mercee, what a great walk. I never think of Chicago as having woods. It has been so rainy & cold here, we can't walk outside.

Ellen, hope the scale is good to you today and glad you are backw ith us.

Toni, Hope you got some rest from your grocery trip. I went Sunday and just noticed last night that my fridge was bare. I thought BL was really good last night. It is getting to a hard point. You hate to see anyone leave.

Crystle, Ugh, I feel your pain. I hate dentists. They have to give me gas to get out of the car LOL.

Finally the sun is shining but it is still very cool. There was frost on the grass this morning. I am ready for some warm weather. Wonder if Tech got all that snow that northern NY got.

Good luck today and have a great one.

Solly- We were posting at the same time. Congrads on the 1lb. loss. Isn't it great to be going down. Yes BL was good last night. I hated ONeal had to go home. But really Sunny needs to go on her own for a bit.

Default Good morning

Congratulations to all this weeks losers. I am not one of them but there is no surprise there. The good news is that I've walked three days in a row and I also have three days of mowing under my belt. At least I"m being active. Now to just get the eating lined out.

((Everybody)) I'm so proud of how well everyone is doing with their diet and exercise. Ya'll are such a motivation to me.

God bless,
Crystle

I have frittered the morning away playing online. I overslept and missed water aerobics, which was probably ok since I am not feeling too well and might just need to rest.

I weighed this morning...I was down two pounds! Woo hoo! I was pretty excited. I need to change my ticker... My blood sugar levels are not coming down as well as I would like but they will eventually if I keep losing.

Congratulations to the losers this week!

I need to go find some lunch and will try and check back in later. I have a few pieces down in the garagio that MUST be finished soon and I need to trim. Its so hard getting back into the groove when I have not worked in so long....
