Morning Ladies:

Nothing much to report went picked up a few groceries afer work made dinner did 2 loads of clothes then went to the gym about 8:00pp.m. to work out. I am so glad they are openuntil 11:00 so I have no excuse. It is only 3 minutes from my house.

Crystle- Congratulations on your loss great job. I use to do LS tapes also but the tops was 3 miles then. Keep up the good work.

Solly- Hope you get a chance to rest some this evening.

Ellen- My husband would love your apple cake. He loves things made with aples. How are you going to prepare your quail? I've never had it.

Toni- Hope you had a restful evening.

Well I'm outta here. Have a great day everyone.

Morning! I skipped water aerobics...see? You are all right! Once you make excuses it gets easier and easier...I am in that boat. The teacher on T and Th has you run up and down the pool a lot. This is good, but it does aggravate my plantar problems, so I thought I would wait until tomorrow, as the teacher on M-W has a different approach that is less stress on the heels.

I spent a good hour to hour and a half this morning researching doctors on my health plan. I do not like the one I am going to. I hate being talked to like I am stupid. I am thinking I will try the one my husband goes to. He has a lot of certifications and one in diabetes, plus I have heard he is brilliant. Tom says he is 'nerdy', which is not a bad thing in my book! Especially for my doctor! haha!

Small group was fun last night, but I ate too much...and I had forgotten my evening meds. Consequently, my morning bg levels were bad. I had a small breakfast to try and make up for it.

I need to run a few errands. Tom took my car today, so I have to drive his, which happens to be my old one. Its not as comfortable as my new one, but hey, it runs!

MERCEE: Do you want the recipe for my apple cake? I cut the sugar in half, and it still tastes great. Its my mother's recipe...

SOLLY: It sounds to me like you are doing too much. Could you work half days, so you can get more rest and recover? I know its hard for you non-lazy types to relax. Maybe a week on the beach with a couple good books is what you need. You could come to Chez Ellen and I will make you relax....the pool is too cold to swim in, but the sun is warm and the lounge chairs very comfy....

COUNTRY: Five miles sounds like an awful lot to me right now. I will be happy when I can build to three again. If this stupid heel problem ever heals...sigh.

TONI: Are you recovered from your company yet? What Amy's Indian did you have? I love them. I also love the tamales they make. I love that they have gluten free, and dairy free options. I was such a help when I was eating vegan.

Well Jackson got me out of bed this morning and made me take him and the other dog outside. After he got me all woke up and the coffee going he went back to bed with Steve. Leaving me sleepy and up. Little stinker. Wish Steve would get up so I could make some oatmeal. I'm hungry.

Mercee-Good going on the gym so late. Boy you are one tough cookie. I wish some of that would rub off on me.

Ellen- I had the Amy's with the creamed spinach and indian dish in it along with a type of rice. The only thing that was good was the indian dish. I think the meal was really disappointing. And I love her stuff.

Solly- Hope you are feeling better this morning.

Crystle- Wow you're doing good. Keep it up.....

Well off to have more coffee.

Default Howdeeee

Good afternoon ya'll. Just sitting here eating my lunch. It is pretty good if I say so myself. Just an eggplant tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese dish with asparagus and mushrooms. I missed breakfast because I took a nap and didn't really feel like eating. Didn't feel like it now either but I worked out earlier and you gotta fuel the tank. I almost feel lazy. I did the walk and jog and then the muscle walk. It was 50 minutes but the last 20 was pretty easy.

Toni..your pup sounds like my cat. He gets me good and awake with kisses and purring, runs around the house a bit and then conks out.

Ellen...hope you can find a doctor you like. Hope you get a great workout tomorrow. Praying that foot feels better soon.

Mercee...When I used to do the tapes years ago a two or three miles would have me all beet faced and panting. Now I get a good workout without feeling so yucky. The best part is I've found if it gets too easy you just push harder. I'm hoping as I get stronger it will cross over into my walk/jogging outside. I have a goal in mind. It is almost scary to say it out loud in case I never make it. But my ultimate goal in to come in under 11 minutes. The closest I've come is 11:27 or 11:33.

Solly....sorry you are feeling yucky today. Since the computer seems to make if worse do you think you might need new glasses? Maybe something changed after the surgery? Praying that everything start to fall into place and you get stronger, healthier and happier every day. ((((big giant bear hug))))

Boy am I the chatter box today or what. (((Everybody))) I can not say it enough. You ladies ROCK!!! That voice in your head that tells you negative things..tell it to take a hike. You are all winners and you will reach your goals. Setbacks are temporary, injuries are temporary and you will keep moving forward. You ladies are like extended family to me and I thank God for you.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Just finished my supper. Tom has a meeting, so I can eat earlier than usual, which I prefer. I had a bowl of sauteed eggplant and onions, and some greek yogurt with a bit of no sugar added cherry butter. I will probably wander down stairs in a bit and eat the rest of the eggplant.

I spent about an hour and a half on the phone chatting with my coffee friend. She is out in Washington state taking care of her elderly mother, and boy do I miss her! We try to talk at least once a week.

TONI and CRYSTLE: We had that problem with our cats. They would wake us up early, then go take a nap and leave us all wide awake. Tom puts them out when we go to bed now. They are waiting at the door when we get up! If he forgets it never fails that they will start meowing, or jump on the bed and wake us around 4-5am.

Well, its Wednesday. Do you know where your scale is?

Mine is being mean. I am up one pound this morning. I just can't seem to stay in that lower decade.

I am meeting a young friend and her kids at the park for a picnic. It is a bit rainy this morning, but is supposed to clear off and be sunny this afternoon. I hope it gets a tad warmer too, as its a bit raw this morning. The park has a train themed playground, and her boys beg to go there. I need to take my grandson there sometime!

I skipped water aerobics again. I slept poorly last night...could NOT fall asleep. So I did not wake up until almost an hour later than usual. I just did not feel like rushing around.

It will be back to the usual schedule on Monday. Tomorrow I must skip it again for a doctor appt.

I am trying to decide what to fix to take to the potluck tonight. I have an apple cake, and I am thinking a main dish. I am leaning towards beef stew and put some beef out to thaw. That may change though...I have a lot of chicken tenders.

Good morning. Feeling a little better today but moving around in my chair makes me dizzy. I went to bed at 8:00 last night and watched the BL and fell asleep. I'm still tired.

I weighed this mornng and I was the same. Considering how I ate, I will take it. I just can't get my act together. All my pants are so tight I can't breathe but I still eat junk.

Mercee, Would you start posting your food. I am ancious to see what you are eating for all meals. I think it would be a help not only to me but others. Great job on getting to the gym. Like someone said, making excuses makes it easier to keep making them.

Ellen, I wish your foot would get better, but some have said it can take a year. Mine did not last long, but I used ice alot. My right foot hurt now and I am putting off going to the dr. I just limp along. I don't really like my family doc either. I go today and I may switch after that. If you will pay my bills I will work half days. [I] figure I can can be dizzy here and get a full check as well at home, even though I feel better if I just sit. I should come visit you. It might be relaxing and you could wait on me. I'm just afraid of what you would feed me. ha-ha.

Crystle, I am so proud of all the exercise you are doing. You are motivating me (for a minute). Actually they tell you not to get your glasses changed yet. Now I can't see with my glasses to drive. I can see better if I take them off and the same way with TV. It never mattered before.

Toni, our dg may get up during the night to go out but makes a bee line back to the bed. He always wants to go to bed if someone will. He sleeps all the time and he is only 3. Hope you are rested up.

Have a great day everyone.

Ellen,we were posting at the same time. Sorry you are up a pound. It is totally different when you are trying to stay in the next set of numbers. Hang in there, it will go back down. I'm sure whatever you take tonight will be delish.

Darn I think I don't want to face the scale so have forgotten two weeks in a row to weigh in. I need to get it over with and start fresh. Hopefully I will tomorrow. I'm having a horrible time with eating and staying with good habits.

Crystle- Your eggplant sounded so good. Making chicken enchiladas tonight.

Solly- Good for you staying the same. I'm having such a hard time now. But for you I don't blame you. You'll get back on it.

Ellen- You'll lose that lb. next week. Soon as you get back on your water aerobics. Good luck at the doctor tomorrow.

Well off I go.....

Ok, I need to do a small rant. We just informed the pastor of our church we were leaving and joining a different church. We were honest with our reasons. I have not been treated well there lately...I had someone bad mouth me behind my back and it cost me my monthly catering job, and several ministry jobs I had. I had talked about this with the pastor, who acted all sympathetic, but nothing ever changed. So, when they canceled the evening service, which we went to, it just felt like a good time to switch since we had been considering it for a while. Right after Tom called and talked to the pastor, his wife defriended me on Facebook. Today, I found the pastor defriended me on there, AND blocked me from even seeing his page. I am beyond amazement. I have NEVER done anything to harm him, been extremely careful about sharing any negative information, etc. etc. etc. I will probably not miss them at all, but it just seemed very petty to me. Others have left the church and they were not treated like this. Why me?

I am going to struggle big time to keep this to myself. But I will do my best. I don't want to hurt the church...I just want it to quit hurting me!

I went to the park and met my friend. We had a nice time. It was a beautiful day!

Off to go work on my dishes for the potluck tonight!

Default Good morning

I am feeling so much better and more like myself today. Had a good workout earlier. I may try to sneak another in. My activity outside of my workouts is minimal so I think that would give my weight loss a boost.
I have a funny to share with ya'll. Hope it isn't tmi. I have a skirt that when I first got it it used to fall down in the back. Well because of all the exercise videos I now have a ledge in the back to hold it up. My tootie may not be as wide but it has grown. LOL

Solly...you always make me smile. I'm glad things are getting a little better. Staying the same beats moving up any day. Once you can get moving again your pants will fit in no time. You probably have more water weight than you realize. What kinds of foods are you hungry for? Maybe we can find a way to make them a little healthier and still meet those cravings.

Ellen...woman woman woman... Do some bicep curls, raise your arms over your head just keep moving. Just ten minutes a day makes a difference. Hope that didn't sound bossy. Just a loving push. Last night when hubby and I were laying in bed we got the facebook about the covered dish. His first response was mac-n-cheese. I usually go for the side dishes like corn casserole. Don't get me wrong when they bring in the fried chicken it takes all I have not to eat it. We never buy fried chicken from the store and it is so good, all greasy and salty. The one dish I take that almost always gets eaten is not healthy but simple. Sauteed onion and peppers with sausage. I cut the sausage in little circles. I like your idea of beef stew. I LOVE beef stew. Are you making brown rice to take with it? Or do you even eat rice with yours?

Toni..good afternoon. How are you today? Getting rested up from the weekend? What did you think of biggest loser last night? I was really surprised with who they sent home. I was disappointed my guy didn't make it back to the show but I like the lady who did. She seems very nice so far.

Mercee..howdy. I forgot where you live. Has it warmed back up like it has in Texas. I'd love for fall to come back. On a good note it is making the garden start to grow. It may actually make it before the cold sets in.

Time to get off this thing and do the dishes. They are in there breeding. I had a couple now the dishpan is full.

(((Everybody)))

God bless,
Crystle

Default Sos sorry

I just saw some post that must have been posting when I was posting. Ellen, that is so unreal to me. (((hugzz))) That is so carnal and not the least bit walking in the spirit. I'm so sorry. Love transcends what church you go to, what you believe, ect. We haven't found a new church since our church had conflict. So I am glad you found another place of worship.

Toni...just jump on the scales. No matter what it says each day is a new day to start toward your goal. You are not your weight and your weight does not define you. You are awesome no matter what the scales say. It is all about being healthy. Once you know where you are at you can work from there.

Love you guys

God bless,
Crystle

Made chicken enchilada's tonight for dinner. Made them as lowfat as I could. They came out pretty good. And gives me something for breakfast tomorrow. Still kind of resting up from my company. It takes me awhile.

Ellen- Sure don't blame you for being upset. Its so good you found another church. You sure don't need people like that in your life. Glad you at least had a nice time at the park.

Crystle- Thanks so much for your sweet encouragement. It means so much to me. I'll just have to take little steps. I liked the BL last night but wanted everyone to get back on there. Especially that guy. I think the girl that got back on was doing fine at home. Who knows maybe she needed it the most. Hope she does better than the 5 lbs. she lost.

Well I've got a pinched nerve in my shoulder and think I'll go put the heating pad on it. Must have done some wild bending or something at the wedding this week end. LOL!!!

Thanks Crystle and Toni.

Potluck tonight was good, kind of. We got there about ten minutes late and everyone had been through the line and was eating. There was not very much food...and most of it was desserts. I did eat a bit of them for the first time...there was nothing else to eat! I took chicken tenders I had put some Tikka sauce on. The Tikka sauce I have is WAY too hot! Tom and I like it, but I had forgotten how hot it was. Luckily, there was a small crowd tonight. I even put a sign by it saying SPICY!

TONI: I bet you were dancing on the tables at that wedding, you party animal! I hope the shoulder feels better soon!

COUNTRY: We are very blessed to have found a new church and so close to home! We have been considering changing for a long long time. I was just shocked when I realized what they had done. It did not seem very Christ like to me. I have never done anything to hurt them... I am sorry you don't have a church you can attend. I just don't know what I would do without it. You at least have family near by, though, don't you? We have our grown kids, but they are not that close by...45 minutes seems like a long long way to me!

Good morning ladies. The visit to the dr yesterday proved to be interesteing. She informed me that I had a brain bleed, a heart that does not relax (most likey due to sleep apenea) and suggested I not take my Celebrex as it could cause another stroke or heartattack. My RA dr said there was no conflict. So I think I will get off of it for a month until I go to the RA dr and see what happens. I really don't know what to do, I'm sure the RA dr will say it is ok to take it. If I can get by w/o it, I will. I feel some better today, went to sleep later than usual so I am tired today. We do have a bid but a small one, they ususally make me lots dizzier. We will see.

My DD's lease on her car runs out next week and we did not realize it. So tonight we have to go look at cars to see what she can afford. I wanted to chill and start cleaning out some closets to switch clothes.

Ellen, It sure doesn't seem like your pastor was very Christian. Of all people! It's funny that they defriended you. My DD was telling me that her SIL and BIL defriended her too. I know you will like this church so much better. Some things are best left alone.

Toni, hope you are catching up on your rest. You should have never danced so much! I am having a hard time too. I was shocked that Rick went home on BL. I wanted the lady with BC to come back, but then I'm partial.

Crystal, girl you are starting to exercise your day away. Before soon you will be like Rick on the BL who is exercising 3 times a day. I wish my foot would get better so at least I could walk some. That was funny about your touche. God for you.

OK off to work on this bid. Have a great day
