Default Good afternoon ladies...((hugzz))

I had pretty nice weekend. I actually took a day off of working out and strength training. I was beginning to feel a bit burned out. It seemed to help. I did a five mile video yesterday and a three mile this morning. Not by much but finally under 170 .

Toni..my contribution to Thanksgiving this year is dressings, mac and cheese an banana pudding. Nothing lowfat there at all. The only things being served that are in my diet are green beans and turkey. It is going to take some major self control. I just saw you post you aren't feeling well . Praying you feel better soon.

Ellen..I am so sorry about your friend. That sugar better start behaving in the name of Jesus! Hope you made it to WA this morning.

Solly...you are doing great. It is all about one step at a time and acknowledging you accomplishments. I've been working on my potassium also. I was real happy to find that avocados are higher in potassium.

I need to get and make some salsa. I've had to put it off a couple of days so I need to get on it before something comes up again.

YOU ALL ROCK!!!!! (((Everybody)))

God bless,
Crystle

Hello everyone! I made it to Water Aerobics this morning. It was a great workout. Blood sugar is not behaving, and its still frustrating. I just keep plugging along doing the 'right' things...and wondering why nothing ever seems to work for me...sigh.

Breakfast was homemade chicken sausage and a pear, and espresso.
Lunch was Dr. Praegger pattie (veggie patty-soy free) and a small tomato.
Dinner is going to be a chicken stir fry with broccoli and water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, etc. No rice....

I need to run up to Whole Foods before it gets too late...so I better scoot!

TONI: We have not finalized menus for Thanksgiving yet either. We usually don't do turkey. We are going back and forth this year....guess I need to get with my son in law and finalize it. The rest of the family will want mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, creamed corn...and I want salad, fish...haha!

Toni, sorry you have a cold. Hope you are feeling better soon. Drinks lots of OJ.

Country, if you want, you could always use ww pasta and low fat cheese for the mac & cheese and ff milk. And the pudding you could use ff banana pudding and ff milk. At least it would help. Congrats on being under 179. I am so jealous, I just want to stay under 200. I'm working on it. Good job on the exercising.

Ellen, what if you wrote down everything you ate and your levels after those meals. Would that help pinpoint the culprint that is making it rise? Glad you made it to WA.

BF was a WW egg quesadilia and salsa, YUM
Snack will be Greek yogurt and mixed berries.
Lunch will be fish sticks and an apple
Dinner is cheese ravioli, veggie sauce and a salad.

I was happy to say I did not have to rubber band my pants today. I couldn't button them but the hook fit into the hole wich is some beetter. Working on it.

Have a great day

Good morning. It rained here last night. We sure do need it. Coughing is sure keeping me awake at night. Of course Steve said the dog and I snored big and loud. So guess I did get some sleep. Eating hasn't been that great. I made a pot of potato soup and we ate on that three days. Wish I had another pot of some kind of soup. It was nice to just heat and eat. We've been invited to a friends house for dinner on Thanksgiving. I'm leaving it up to Steve on whether we go or not. I'm kind of hoping he wants to.

Solly- You're doing good. That's great. Keep up the good work.

Crystle-Congratulations on being in the 170's. All your hard work has paid off. I've decided I'm going to have a little bit of everything on Thanksgiving.

Ellen- Good for you doing your water aerobics this morning. Your fish menu sounds good.

Okay off to make breakfast. I think I'll probably have cereal today. Chicken breast with broccoli for dinner.

Solly- Congratulations on staying the same. Sometimes that's a good thing.

Mercee- Congrats on you staying the same after your trip. Glad to have you back.

Off to finish my coffee....

Good morning ladies! I just got back from water aerobics. Great workout...and my blood sugar is down considerably from the astronomical high this morning. (my fault...my women's circle from church at dinner at a Mexican restaurant and I ate WAY too many chips...) I decided yesterday to go back to Vegan and see if I can get the bg under control.

I weighed before I went to WA, but did not get the chance to post. Glad I did not. I weighed again when I got home and instead of posting that I stayed the same, I am going to claim a half pound loss. I am super excited! I would love to see some new numbers....so onward and downward!

Tom had to go in at 5am to babysit a release this morning, so I expect him home soon. We have church potluck tonight. I am going to make some dinner rolls to take. Not sure what else. Maybe a salad. Or a green bean casserole. There is a special speaker tonight, and I am figuring there will be a big crowd for it.

Menu:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup non fat Greek yogurt, cherry butter, cocoa nibs, espresso with non dairy creamer.

Lunch: Curried chickpeas with spinach

Dinner: what ever I can find at the potluck....

Ellen- Great on the workout. 1/2 is really good. Way to go... I hope the vegan diet brings down your blood sugar. I've got to figure out my menu for the day.

Good morning ladies. Still hanging in there. I am more conscience about what I put inmy mouth and I think that is a good thing. Had to go to Sams and Kohls with my DD last night so that cut down on any chance of eating. had a SF popcicle when I got home and went to bed.

Mercee, glad to have you back with us and glad you stayed the same on vacation, it's hard to do. What a wonderful feeling about the 3 sizes. That is motivation in itself. I'm jealous!

Toni, I think planning my menues for the week has helped. I have had a cough for months. Especialy at night. DD is about to smother me with the pillow. I think it is drainage for allergies, sinus, etc. Hope you find something that helps.

Ellen, WTG on the 1/2 lb. Anything encouraging at this point helps. Hope you can find something to get your BS back on track. Those chips are killers. Don't know what to do about them.

Having either a bagel and PB or a WW egg quesadillia for bf. Greek yogurt for a snack with blueberries and stsrawberries. Lunch is leftover chili and dinner was suposed to be rosemary chicken but I forgot to get it out. Maybe DH will get it out when he goes home.

Crystle, hope you are having a great day.

Off to do soemthing. Have a great day!

Morning! I wish today was weigh in...I am down another two pounds! I am not sure what to think about it. I did get in water aerobics and walked yesterday, in addition to eating well. I went back to Vegan on Tuesday, but I can't believe that is the reason. Seems too soon. My blood glucose levels have been good since yesterday after water aerobics, so I am feeling very encouraged.

SOLLY: Congrats on the BB score! Hmm, should I go and try to beat you, or let you enjoy your days of glory?

I need to go pick up a custom frame for one of my paintings. Not sure what else I need to do today. I had all kinds of plans last night, but they got lost as I slept! haha!

Default Howdy ya'll

Good afternoon. It is sunny and cool here, absolutely beautiful. I have a pot of red beans in the pressure cooker and it warming up the kitchen nicely.

Breakfast was 6 ounces of blackberries
Lunch was spaghetti squash with tomato and an egg on the top
Dinner should be the red beans and some brown rice

Exercise was one and a half walking videos..about 70 minutes worth. They were easier walks.

Ellen...so glad you are dropping the pounds and the bs..WTG

Solly...You are really getting back on track. Thinking about what you eat before you eat is HUGE. I should have thought last night before munching on the potato chips.

Toni...Sorry you are still feeling yucky. I was gonna come over for the grilled cheese and tomato soup but didn't think I could get there before it got cold. One of my favorite comfort meals.

Mercee...WTG not gaining on vacation and being down 3 sizes!!

God bless,
Crystle

I am full as a tick. I ate WAY too much tonight. I used up the last of the green tomatoes in a green tomato curry, and fixed spinach and Indian style cheese, and had some brown basmati right with it.

I did some framing today and went to the sleep doctor with Tom. Tonight we spent about 30 minutes finding things to throw out in the garage. We actually made some progress! I was encouraged.

Menu today: Non Fat Greek yogurt with cherry butter and cocoa nibs for breakfast, lunch was curried chickpeas with spinach, dinner was spinach and cheese, curried green tomatoes, and some brown basmati. I did NOT get a walk in today. I did walk a block down the street to feed the neighbors dog, then walked back. It was no where near enough, but at least I got a little in. I went to a store to try on some boots because I had a 30% off coupon, but did not like the styles they had. I handed the coupon to a woman who was shopping and she was very excited. I love random acts of kindness.

Speaking of random acts...did you all see the video of the choral group singing the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah in the Macy's in Philadelphia? It rocked! They called it a Random Act Of Culture!

Did have 2 glasses of wine last night but dinner was light so I was good. This weekend we have to go to the race track with my DH's work. I really don't care about it but he wants to go. Just another way to waste my money. Not planniing on betting much.

Bf was a thin ww bagel with PB. Lunch will be a f hot dog and ww bun, apple. Don't know about dinner. We always eat out on Friday night.

Ellen, I don't think it will take long for you to beat me on BB. I just can't seem to get the speed going. That was a fluke. WTG on the 2 more lbs. Hope it holds until next Wed or even more. Luckily we are weighing before TG. I need to clean out my upstairs closet this weekend before chairty pickup on Monday.

Crystle, glad you are doing so well on your walking. I go Monday to see what is wrong with my foot. If I can get it back to normal I may be able to do a little walking. My GS needs to be with you. He loves beans and rice.

Toni, Hopeyour cold is getting better and you are getting lots of rest and Vitamin C.

Mercee, sure you are busy working and working out. Have a great weekend.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I need to finish up my tree and garland on Sun and get to the grocery.
