Morning Ladies:

This is my last post this week. I am leaving to go out of town. I will return on Monday. I am busy, busy, getting ready. Have a great weekend and see you ladies next week.

My weight stayed the same. I will workout while I am out of town at the hotel gym.

Hello, Buster buddies!

I had a few young women over for coffee today. They are my old silk guild group from last year. Several could not come due to school activities and sick kids, but it was nice to see them. I ate badly! I had some of the quiche I made...eggs are a no no for me! ...and I ate two pieces of the green tomato cake I made. Ug. It was good, but it has eggs, and sugar in it. That was my breakfast. Back on the straight and narrow now.

I am about to head out to Hobby Lobby. They have picture frames on sale again and I need some. I sold a mug this morning, and there was some intense interest in a few of the paintings. Once I get the frames purchased, I need to paint some. I feel kind of impatient. I have one friend who is interested in having me paint two portraits for Christmas presents...and I so want to get started already! But she has not decided on size, and we have not discussed price. sigh....

SOLLY: Saffron is used some in Indian cooking...though it is more Middle Eastern. Tumeric is used a lot in Indian cooking, and it has a lot of healthy properties. It is supposed to help regulate blood sugar for one thing, and fight inflammation as well. I always double the amount of tumeric in a recipe. I like it. That is interesting about Rosemary. I find herbal stuff like that fascinating.

TONI: I am glad you had a good visit with your sister and niece. I can so relate to feeling crumby due to not eating right. I feel bleh right now from the green tomato cake I ate for breakfast, and the quiche- since I am not supposed to eat eggs! I sure wish a bathing suit would be incentive for me to lose... I guess I am too used to going to Water Aerobic class. I tend to be one of the youngest there. This new suit is exactly like the one I was using that died from the chlorine...nice and comfy!

COUNTRY: I so want to be able to jog with my husband. He runs five miles...barefoot! If you want inspiration, get Born To Run by Christopher McDougall. Its a VERY good book!

I had grapenuts for breakfast. I didn't weigh today. I'm just not ready to get on the scale.

Woot! I am pretty excited. I just ordered paints and stretcher pliers (used for stretching canvas) with Tom's credit card! Then, I ran up to Hobby Lobby and got a couple frames. They had custom framing on sale for 50% off too...so I ordered a frame for my odd sized canvas for only $46! Yay! I have an open house I am going to be in the first weekend of December, and I want to have most of the paintings framed. They sell better that way....

Trying to decide what to take to Potluck tonight. I have cake...I need something else. Maybe I will just throw together a salad.

Off to figure it out...then paint if I have time!

Good morning! I am very frustrated. My blood sugar was HORRIBLE this morning, and I can NOT tell you why! I took my meds, did not over eat at potluck...it is SO frustrating. So, I am off for a walk. Then I have to head out and pick up my grandson. I get to watch his karate class too.

Have a great day everyone!

Default Good morning

The scales were up this week. Not sure why. But it is okay because I'm doing what I'm suppose to be doing. I'm eating correctly and moving everyday.

Ellen...sorry your numbers are off this morning. Do you think the quiche and cake are the culprits? Or maybe the eggs? If you have a problem with eggs your body might be responding badly to them. Congratulations on your new painting supplies.

Toni...so glad you had a blast with your sister. As for the scales even if you don't share with us it is good to weigh. That way it doesn't sneak up on you. Unless it would send you into a tail spin. I know we are all different.

Solly...I had my little man for the first time yesterday. He did so good without his mama. She is thinking she may have to let him come over more often. She is a lot like me. He is rarely out of her sight. With the new baby coming we think it is good that he become a little less dependent on her.

Mercee...I know you are off for your trip. Praying you have a fantastic time.

Ladyfirefighter...thinking of you this morning also. Hope you are doing well.

I've been sitting here all morning playing at sparkpeople. I need to get my bootie in gear. I'm just not feeling it this morning.

God bless,
Crystle

Good morning ladies. Nothing goiing on here with me. Same ole same ole.

Toni, glad you had a nice visit with your sister and niece. Eating bad for that day or two is not bad, just get back on track. You are already headed in the right direction with your breakfast.

Ellen, I so hope you do well with the open house. I know your paintings are beautiful and should sell well. Maybe your blood sugar is bad from the cake and quiche you ate tht other day. Tumeric is what they use in Indian food. knew it was something.

Mercee, havea wonderful trip.

Crystle are you still on staycation?

Oh, I heard from Gator Gal (Gail). She became a grandma on 10-26 to a precious little boy. I invited here to pop in. She looks wonderful. She is hooked on Sparks People.
See ya later.

Crystle, we were posting at the same time. So glad you had a great time with your grandson. You should spend more time. Your DD will have hr hands full when the baby comes and you can help by taking him awhile. You are right not to worry about the scale. You are doing the right things.

Good morning. I'm getting ready to go in and make oatmeal. I ate real light yesterday. It was kind of a day of rest for me. So back on the treadmeal and back to the housework.

Ellen- Sorry about your blood sugar. Hope you have a good time with your Grandson.

Solly- Wish Gator Girl would pop in once in awhile. I always loved her posts.

Crystle- You'll probably have a good lost next week. I should have weighed in. I've got to start doing that.

Hello everyone! I had a blast with the boy. His karate class was very cute. They are all only four, but they do a great job. It teaches them to be obedient, and follow rules, and be polite...etc. He loved having me in his classroom. We came back here to my house and he spent a good bit of time painting. He went through probably 15 sheets of paper. I was tickled he was into it. I like encouraging kids to be creative. He usually wants to play with toys and not paint or draw. He snuggled up in my lap and cried when my daughter got here to pick him up. He wanted to stay. I enjoyed that. I love that he wanted to be here.

I hope my blood sugar problems were the cake and quiche. I was good about NO gluten(wheat) today, and tried to eat only veggies, and lean meats in hopes it would help. I made a stir fry for dinner with chicken and lots of veggies, and had just about 1/2 cup of brown rice. I also went for a 20 minute walk this morning before I headed out to get the boy.

I painted a picture of some flowers tonight. I have decided flowers are NOT my thing to paint! It did not turn out very good. I suppose I could try and blame it on a bad reference photo, couldn't I?

SOLLY: Tell Gail hello! It would be very nice if she popped in sometime. I miss all the SEC banter we used to have with her, Fillise, and Bob.

Happy friday, the good news the day is almost over for work and the bad news is it's the weekend and it is hard not to eeat wrong and drink wine. I have done good all week and I realt don't want to blow it this weekend but they are hard. I am going to make a conscience effort to be good. I'm tired of rubber banding my pants.

I have to put u my decorations this weekend. It is the only weekend I have so got to get busy. Sunday I want to wash windows mine are nasty and it is supposed to rain sat.

Ellen, didn't it melt your heart when he cried not to leave. That is so wonderful. I like the flowers you are too critical. Hope all the veggies help your BS.

Toni, We will have to make an effort to weight next Wed. I am hoping to see a good number for a change. I have to do smething. Even going to try to lift some weights to ee if that helps. Hope you got to walk on the some. Got to get by without so much wine too!

Crystle, Hope you are busy walking. Have a great weekend.

Have a great weeknd everyone!

Been a slow day here. Did get some laundry done. Bed is changed and some vacuming done. I want to walk on the treadmill but hubby is in the room working around where the treadmill is. So I'll wait. I need to start planning my Thanksgiving meal. Whats everyone cooking?

Solly- You can do the week end. But I know what you mean. I do like my wine. This is the first day I've stayed away from the cake. I consider that a feat in its self.

Ellen- I hope your blood sugar is better today. I thought your flowers were nice. But oh my gosh those onions are the best. Sounds like your Grandson was having a ball with Grandma.

Hello everyone! We drove over to Athens today to go to our old church and see old friends. It was a great day, seeing folks. Got some bad news...one old friend of ours passes away a number of months ago from cancer. No one thought to tell us, so when I saw his wife and she told me it was quite a shock. The weather was beautiful today, and it was a nice relaxed day.

I am planning on going to water aerobics in the morning. We shall see what my bg levels are. I ate fairly sensibly today...but they were high again this morning. I have had a headache for a few days. Wish I could blame it on that.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! This coming week looks like its going to be crazy busy. We have something to do every night! Yikes!

I haven't painted in a few days. I started a still life and I need to finish it before the pears rot! haha!

My goodness where was everyone over the weekend. I expected to read lots of posts but there were only 2.

Eating was sensible over the weekend, not great but I got a sweet potatoe instead of a regular potato and split it witht he baby and got FF dressing on the salad. Yesterday I got grilled chicken when everyone else got fried in the salad. I did have my wine and probably too much on Friday. Making baby steps but better choices.

Washed my windows after church and got all my Chritmas decorations up. Everything is dopne except for putting the ornaments on the trees and the garland but have to wait for DD to be finished with school this Thursday to help me. Won't turn anything on until Thanksgiving but it will be done. Of course, I can't walk today, between my feet and my back. I look like that kid with the mini pads stuck all over me. I have pain pads on my feet and all over my back. Hoping they help.

Toni,I don't cook Thanksgiving. My sister does so we either take a snack or a dish so I am not much help. Now I do have Christmas at my house.

Ellen hoping your BS was ok today an you got to WA. Sorry to hear about your friend passing.

Crystle, hope you had a great weekend.

Mercee, are you back from your trip.

My bf was a protein shake with strawberries and 3/4 of a banana in it (tyring to up my potassium). Have a salad for lunch and an apple. Dinner willbe Philly stake sandwiches. I had a brisket in the freezer I needed to use and will put ionion and low fat cheese on them. Since I have not had any carbs today, I will eat half the roll. I will also have Greek yogurt and some berries for a snack. Looks like I have all my fruits in but the veggies are lacking some.

Have a great day.

Down with a cold. So just popping in to say howdy. Think I'll rest a couple of days. The week end was fine. I made a pot of soup and we've had it the past couple of days. Sorry this is so short.
