SOLLY: I forgot to answer your question about Bejeweled... I don't know. I sometimes have a great game, and get a tremendous score, and I really don't know what I did differently. My overall strategy is to try and make four matches, and L's and T's for those exploding gems if I can, but I mostly just go as fast as I can. Right now I have a friend who has a score of 640k. She consistently scores really high like that. I have asked her what she does, and she has a regular strategy, but it sounds like the same as mine...I think she is just really fast.
Good morning ladies, I am feeling much better today so I am hoping this is a trend to better health. I say I felt better with the dizziness, but my back was killing me and my legs. I could hardly lift them to dry or put on my pants so I slapped on a pain patch in hopes it helps. I have t concentrate on the dizziness first and back to driving. Hopefully by Monday.
Cystle, I am so jealous of you in the 170's. You were supposed to wait for me. I weighed this morning and I was down 5 lbs and 1 since yesterday so it is a start. I did walk last night just me and the dog. I was going to do another trip and a neighbor caught me and was talking and then it was dark so I was afraid I would trip or something stupid by myself. Keep up the good work. That is such a good idea working out during the commercials.
Toni, congrats on your loss too. Glad you are close to the 180's. It is cooler here today too.I finally watched the BL last night. I wasn't sure who I wanted to go home. I haven't picked a favorite yet either.
Mercee, hope your cold is better. I really enjoy the BL and I watched Jillian's show all summer. They sure whork them hard. Some of those losses were unbelievable. I was thinking I would like to have the 41 lbs that man lost and I could be done.
Ellen, You are doing so great with your WA. I'm glad you like it. My SIL takes his CPAP machine off during the night too but I'm sure he just throws it n the floor. I don't see how you all make those scores on BB. I barely have time to make matches much less look for 4 in a row or L's or T's. Goodness!
Got in from water aerobics a few minutes ago. That is four days in a row! Woo hoo! I am sore, but it felt great to make that goal.
My daughter is coming over this afternoon for a bit, and they have an appointment later this afternoon so I am babysitting my grandson. I can't wait to see him! Since he is now in school I don't get to see him as often. Weekends can be so busy. I wish they lived closer.
Ok, off to find something good for lunch. I am leaning towards some sauteed eggplant...I have the pretty white and purple striped ones to try!
Howdy ho all. Stayed up late so slept late today. My little Jackson woke me up jumping on the bed. He was bound and determined to get me up. Looks like another beautiful day. Now we're supposed to have a cold front coming in. Had chicken breast, green beans and salad for dinner last night. Hope I can think of something more exciteing for tonight. Dinners are getting pretty boring around here.
Mercee- Hope you have a good day too.
Ellen- You are on a roll with WA. Four days is awesome. Sounds like you'll have a good afternoon with your Grandson.
Solly- Congrads on the 5 lbs. Thats great and you'll be out of the 180's soon. Just keep up the good work. I can't believe you're walking with all the stuff going on with you. Do you think thats why your back was so sore today? Good thoughts for you.
Hey ya'll. I have been mowing and mowing and mowing. Almost three hours worth in the last two days and I am one sore cookie. I even managed to get in an hour walk walk walk tape. Today I'm feeling lazy and thinking of doing a 30 minute tape. Tomorrow is going to be my off day, I think. Ate some tuna salad for breakfast, more like brunch time. Thinking of making me some cabbage for lunch. I'll probably have chili for dinner since I made such a big pot last night. And it taste SO good. The guys are having frito pies with it.
Mercee...it is so good to see you even when you have nothing new to report. Hope you have a super day.
Ellen...you are rocking the WA! Keep up the good work.
Solly...you lady are a rock star. Good job getting out there and walking. You constantly amaze me. So glad you are feeling better.
Toni...What kind of ideas are you looking for? You can oven bake some chicken tenders when you have breast. One of my favorites is to cook the breast with some onions in the fry pan with a touch of olive oil. Remove the breast throw in a can of crushed tomatoes, spices, olives and then put the chicken back in. Then serve over whole wheat pasta. Egg scrambles are a quick high protein meal also. My hubby and I had that the other day with just mushrooms and asparagus. He didn't even miss the extra yolks. I use one egg and two egg whites per person. I'm looking forward to the next front. It is starting to get just a smidge too warm.
((Everybody)) Remember you ROCK! You are AWESOME! And you are the BEST you there is.
Just had some chinese food for dinner. It was okay. Made brown rice to go with it. Just finished cleaning the kitchen. Glad thats over with.
Crystle- Thanks for the recipe. I don't know what I want just something different and easy. You sure got the exercise in with all that mowing. Today would have been a beautiful day here for mowing. So beautiful out with a nice breeze blowing.
I had a wonderful time with my grandson. My daughter carried him in since he had fallen asleep in the car on the way here. He was SO out of it, I just sat down and held him for 20 minutes on my lap while he slept. Bet that won't happen many more times with him, so I reveled in the experience thinking it might be the last time. He was in his karate uniform...he gets to take a class after school once a week and he just started it. He is real excited about it. We picked okra and peppers in the garden, he put together a big dinosaur puzzle, and drank half a gallon of milk mixed with chocolate syrup... I hated to see him go home.
Tom has to get up and baby sit their release at 2am. Thankfully he has a work lap top and can do it from home. His boss told him not to come into the office tomorrow, so hopefully he won't have to be online with work stuff all night. I am hoping I can talk him into taking me out for dinner for our anniversary finally..it was almost a month ago!
TONI: Do you want me to give you a simple Indian recipe for that chicken? I can...and you can serve it with the brown rice...and make the green beans with an Indian recipe too..just let me know and I can post it or send it.
Good morning ladies, I tink I am on the mend and today I feel yucky. We walked further last night which was good. Maybe I over did it but the lady from the stroke center here called me and said exercise is the best thing to heal the brain. So I tried it. I just want this to be over. I know God does not give you more than you can handle, but I think I have had my share. Just keep treading along. We have a family wedding tonight (DH side whih we never see) and I am not looking forward to it. Tomorrow we are going to a big farm in IN to get pumkins and eat. They have everything there from aples, ice cream, a winery etc. My SIL parents are going also since they got mad we went the last time and they didn't. Silly.
Ellen, Glad you had such a wonderful time with your GS. There is nothing like that time. I cherish it. In fact we are taking our to the wedding tonight. My DH wants to show him off. You rock with your WA. Keep it up.
Crystle, wow that was a lot of mowing and exercise. You should see a good loss next week. Hope it cools off for you soon. I think a cold front is on the way.
Toni, I must have had a typo, I am in the 190's down today but I can't remember what it said. My mind is a mess right now. I just told MY DH last night that I bet my back hurt from the walking so I am dammed if I do and dammed if I don't. I usually have boring dinners too. Just the way I cook with not much time. Last night I made chili, 8% fat in the burger and I drained that and used ww spaghetti and 3 kinds of beans so it should have been pretty legal. The cold is coming which I like Fall, just not winter.
Mercee, we do like hearing from you. Have a great weekend.
My sweet neighbor passed away last night. I am very heavy hearted this morning.
No water aerobics today...they only offer a boot camp class that is shallow and deep for an hour and a half, and it costs over twice as much. I will take today as a rest day! I may try to get in a walk or two over the weekend, even though my heel is very sore from when I bruised it walking at the mall two weeks ago.
Hello everyone. Tomorrow I get to go to my outdoor dutch oven cooking class. I can't wait. I've got a friend going with me so it ought to be fun. The weather is wonderful here. The high tomorrow is 68. I got cold in the night and had to get up and put our heavy comforter on the bed. Fall is really here.
Ellen- Prayers for your friends family and for you too. Maybe today you can just take it easy.
Solly- I sure think you've had your share. You're sure doing good with the exercise. Sounds like you've got a busy week end planned. Don't get over tired.
Mercee- You're busy too. We have a wedding to go to on the 17th. Its outside and I'm afraid its going to be cold. Keep up with that exercise.
Crystle- Think this would be a good day for a pot of chili. To bad I don't have the stuff to make it. Hope you get a walk in today.
It is so cool here and will be for the next few weeks, so it is definitely fall, we turned off the air conditioner finally! Yay!
Tonight we went to a fancy seafood restaurant we had a gift card for. I got a steamed lobster. I have never ordered a whole lobster in a restaurant before, and it was an experience. I don't think I will ever need to do it again! It was SO expensive! But since we did not have to pay for it, it was a good time to have the experience. Tom got salmon, but with our two entrees, it came to almost $100!!! yikes! We have enough for a cheap lunch at one of the restaurants in the group the card is for left, so we might think about using it in a few weeks.
I am going to breakfast with my neighbor..sister of the one who passed away last night...in the morning. I suspect it will be bittersweet. She is my dear friend, and I know she is grieving deeply.
TONI: I will either email or post the recipes I promised you soon. I am sorry I have not had time to type them out yet. I have not forgotten! I will just give you the 'make your own' paste recipe since you probably will not be able to find the bottled paste. If you like it, and want to try varieties, let me send you some of the bottled paste. USPS priority flat rate boxes are cheap.
Great advice on cutting sugar. I'm new here and this site looks like a great place for support and fun!!
To cut back on my sugar I drink more water, brush my teeth more often, and if I really need a fix I go buy a small bag of Jelly Belly's from Win-cos bulk section.
