Hello everyone! I made a new recipe in the crockpot today. It was a Moroccan Chicken Tangine with apricots. I made a brown rice couscous to serve it on. Oh, my! It was delish!

Tomorrow I am going out to lunch with a friend to my fav Mediterranean place. Then we are heading down to the market to shop a bit. I need veggies, and some fruits, so it will be nice.

My new bathing suit should arrive tomorrow. So in lieu of water aerobics, I am planning on walking for at least 15 minutes in the morning. (hold me to it, Crystle! )

We had a two hour congregational meeting at church today. I know that sounds awful, but it was actually awesome! I was impressed that very few people left, it was very open and honest...I am loving where we are now.

I made green tomato chocolate cake tonight. I plan to take it to potluck Wednesday. Will let you know how it is received. I also made some green tomato relish. I think the Indian curried green tomatoes is my favorite so far. I still have a green tomato bar recipe to try. I have hardly made a dent in all the green tomatoes! I am wondering if I can process them in the food processor then freeze the pulp to use in recipes later....anyone know?

I feel so tired! That is after sleeping an extra hour. I think I will get ready for bed soon !

Hello all. I have just spend most of the day reading old post and current ones. Learning about each of you. I did sb along time ago with great response. I was wondering if yall mind if I join your group? I do miss in reading everyones post the meals you have. I like to see what you eat to keep ideas handy. Everyone is doing a good job in losing. I can't post everyday though. I don't get on computer everyday. But will post when I can. I would like seeing your menus again daily.

Hi Ladyfirefighter! Welcome to the group! We would love to have you join us. Hmm, menus. I think it would be good for me to post what I am eating. Holds me a bit more accountable!

Today:

breakfast: espresso with non dairy creamer, one green tipped banana and a handful of almonds (eaten on the run as we were late for church! )

Lunch: Moroccan Chicken Tangine with apricots on brown rice couscous, broccoli. Decaf espresso with non dairy creamer

Dinner: homemade formagina cheese (low fat like cream cheese) nut thins, small piece of green tomato/chocolate/stout cake. It was just to taste the recipe, I swear!

This is not a typical day for me. We had a two hour congregational meeting, and with the time change, the whole day felt discombobulated. You know?

Your turn. Post what you are eating too.

I am waiting on my friend to go to lunch. She is a personal chef and I so enjoy chatting cooking with her!

TONI: Enjoy your sister's visit! I had oat meal for breakfast too...but I topped it with 1/2 a cup of non fat Greek yogurt and a 1/2 teaspoon of turbinado sugar. It was delicious!

Good morning ladies Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was busy. We kept the baby Sat night and bless his heart he got up at his regular time 7:15 but he didn't know we turned the clocks back so it was 6:18. So I was up and at it all day long w/o my extra hours sleept. Put the tree up in the basement and went to a florist Christmas show and then to Target and then they left and I started cleaning and had to do it all by myself so it took all evening and at 7:30 went and got pizza and finally sat down at 8:45. I had to get in the hot tub to rest by back, legs and feet. I really wanted to sleep in this morning. I cleaned out all my stuff n the house this weekend and wills tart putting Chritmas stuff up some each night.

on't know about you ladies, but I hate this time. Plus it will be so cold and I hate snow and cold.

Crystle, I loved your emoticons. I hope your garden survied the cold as it is warming up here this week. I hope your friend can walk with you it makes it more fun.

Toni, you are doing so good on the Keep up the good work. The applesauce works well. Enjoy your visit with your sister.

Ellen, that is a lot of green tomatoes and peppers! I can't help as I don't like tomatoes. I have had fried green tomatoes and they were good with a dipping sauce but then they are a no-no. i love the peppers. How about a pepper jam with the habanaros, it would be good for the holidays.

Firefighter, I remember you, welcome back. I hope you can stay with us when you can post. This is a great group.

Mercee, hope you had a good weekend. Post when you can.

Good morning ladies. Welcome Ladyfirefighter! Looking forward to your post when you can.

Luckily I actually ate breakfast this morning so I can share..
I had half a cup of Greek style yogurt with a teaspoon of honey and a tangerine.

I did the four mile walk video before breakfast and am hoping to do something later but I usually get busy doing nothing. I did end up losing two pounds not one last week so I am a happy camper. SO close to being out of the 170's. It is a mental thing. I just need to get under that mark.

Ellen..I am so glad we don't live close. I believe I would invite myself over often and enjoy sampling all your goodies. But it sure would be fun. At least we could walk it off. Did you get your walk in this morning?

Toni...hope you and your sister have a total blast while she is visiting.

Solly...I am worn out just reading about your day. The garden is still alive but it really isn't growing any. I hope this week will encourage some growth since it will be in the upper 70's.

Mercee...Hope you are having a super day.

(((Everybody)))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

I got my walk in this morning! The weather is perfect! When I got home I decided Halloween was over and it was time to sweep away the spider webs on the front porch. I kept on down the front steps and sidewalk and cleaned it all up, ending with my garden clippers and cut back the front bushes off the stairs. Now my front entry way is more welcoming.

Not something I can say about the rest of the house...I need to clean today. I have ladies coming over for coffee tomorrow.

Oh, and I found my old ankle brace and decided to try it on my plantar troubled foot. Amazing! It helps SO much. I am pretty excited. I walked 20 minutes and NO pain.

I was expecting my package with my new bathing suit in it to arrive yesterday. I checked the UPS tracking and it says it was delivered! Huh? And the details say it was signed for at the dock by someone named Ken? I hope they figure it out and it gets here, but I am afraid this will delay the delivery a few days. If the tracking doesn't update with something that shows it is on its way, I guess I will have to call. UPS is usually pretty helpful, and these kinds of things seldom happen, but I was unhappy it was MY packages!

COUNTRY: I wish you lived close. We could walk together.

TONI: Keep up that good work on the treadmill!

SOLLY: How is the dizziness?

MERCEE: Have a great weekend away!

LADY: Hope you are doing well!

Crystle, glad to see you had breakfast this morning. I just finished some reek yogurt with blueberries, blackberries an strawberries cut up in it. Yum!

Mercee, Enjoy your vacation. You deserve it for sure.

Ellen, I am so glad your brace helped your FP. Keep wearing it.

Toni, I know you are visiting with your sister and can't post, but have fun.

Went to the grocery last night after work. I was out of everything. Tonight have some clothes to bag up and some things to clean out. Fun time of year.

Have a great day

My packages were delivered by the USPS this afternoon. Strange, but I have had that before. UPS delivers it to the post office who delivers it to the house. I loved the dress, and the sweater I got. The suit I bought is so so. The cut makes me look like a black pear. Oh well. It was uber cheap and it can be incentive to lose five more pounds to look good in it. No?

Its time for bed! I have a group of ladies coming for coffee in the morning....

Good morning ladies,

I have been pretty busy all morning. Really watching what I am eating, so far so good. The scale was down but I am not counting anything this week. I am sure it is water.

BF: WW egg omlet- Yummy, coffee
Smack- Gree yogurt with blueberries, blackberris and strawberries - my normal snack.
lunch- 1 cup Campbell's veggie soup with some cheddar cheese and wheatables (16) and pineapple.
Dinner will be chicken pot pie. I normally use ww crust but did not get to whole foods to get some.

Ellen, glad you got your suit. I heard on Dr Oz tht Saffrom is great for cancer, isn't that is Indian food? Rosemary for arthritis.

Crystle, moving counts no matter what you do. Keep up the good work.

Got to run to type a letter, will check back later.

Good morning. My sis and niece left last night. It was a nice visit. I didn't eat right and my body is sick of it. It wants back on good food. I did make a pot of really yummy beans yesterday and I think I'll have those leftover tonight. Not sure whats for breakfast yet.

Solly- I'm loving seeing what everyone is eating. I need ideas.

Ellen- Guess that new bathing suit will give you insentive to lose a little more. Bet you look fine in it. I haven't had a suit in years.

Crystle- Your squash sounds so good. I love squash.

Mercee-Hope you're fine.
