My pots are still too wet to trim so tonight I just threw some more! I am amazed at how GOOD it feels to be throwing again. I haven't been tempted to throw something across the room yet!

The market was bedlam! They had a policeman directing traffic, and inside they had employees stationed around directing people and their grocery carts. I could not believe it. I have never seen it so crowded. We had lunch then tag teamed with the cart to shop. It helped having someone to go with.

I need to bake pies tomorrow so I am defrosting some pumpkin I roasted and froze a year or more ago. I hope it is still good. I do NOT want to head to the store for more. My daughter is supposed to come over tomorrow with my grandson. The boy may spend the night with us, which would be fun.

This year will be a small crowd for us...seven adults and two kids. It will be fun though. My son in law is cooking a turkey...the first time in about six years we will be having turkey. I may eat vegan. I am not fond of turkey!

TGIF, even though it is only Wednesday but the last day of work. It is very quiet here. Two of the girls took off and the phones are harly ringing. I will be glad when it is time to go home. We have to make 2 appetizers to take to my sister's tomorrow so we will do that tonight and hopefully clean. All my decorating is done eaxcept for ironing my tablecloth and setting my table. DH likes it set until Christmas time. We will shop all day on Friday, may even go out at 3:00 for some specials. Even though I do not know what I am getting. I have a wheelchair for when we spend time at the mall. Just don't know if I can walk that long and don't want to give it up either. Nice to ride ha-ha.

Crystle, how sweet you and your little one were making a pie. Good job teaching him young. Someone always gives us real sausage for Christmas. It is greasy though. Hope you arms feel better.

Toni, I really like the make over show on BL. I really don't like Brendan who is playing the game. I hope he loses soon. Are you still going to your friends house for dinner?

Mercee, enjoy your time off and have a nice Thanksgiving.

Ellen, I thought the store may be too crowded. I think I am going out early on Friday just to beat some of the crowd. Glad you are throwing again and enjoying it. Hope they turn out well.

We will go to church in the morning and we may go down to the mission to help distribute extra coffee and pie. They try to make it a bit for special on Thanksgiving. It will depend on our time frame.

Wishes to all ofyou for a wonderful Thanksgiving. Let's not forget our many blessings and all that we have to be thankful for. I know I am truly blessed. Talk to you on Monday.

Wow I didn't do to bad at dinner today. But I did have a piece of apple pie for dessert. It wouldn't have been so bad but the crust was made with lard. I know isn't that awful. But I have to say it was a fabulous pie. LOL Okay this day is over and tomorrow is a new day. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. I sure did. As dinner was done it started sleeting outside and we had to hurry home.

I did horribly at dinner. I ate more than I usually do for three meals! Burp! It was SO good. Erik really did a fabulous job on the turkey. It was very moist and tender. I think I can stand to have turkey once every six or seven years if it is that good!

I ate a small piece of the crustless pumpkin pie I made. It was good. My daughters found me a can of organic jellied cranberry sauce. I was in heaven! No high fructose corn syrup! It was high in sugar, but I justified it as a once ever couple years treat. Last year I was MUCH better about how much I ate. I still feel stuffed and its hours later! Shame on me!

Tomorrow, as Toni says, is a new day. Back to the straight and narrow.

It was a fun, but chaotic day. The grand kids were SO cute. I loved having them around.

Time for bed! (its going to be hard to sleep with the tummy still so full!)

Default Happy Day after Thanksgiving

Howdy ya'll. Just a quick note to say hi. Had a great day yesterday with the grand babies. New pictures are up at my facebook. Eating wasn't as good as I had hoped but it wasn't horrible. My main course was banana pudding. I was able to pass on all the other goodies. Last night I had a half a turkey sandwich. So I stayed pretty much in my calorie range yesterday.

Hope ya'll are having a good day today.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Toni, my daughter went to Walmart at midnight last night, then to about six other stores starting at 3am! I think she finished her shopping and she got me most of my gifts too! I like this tradition! She started it three years ago and it has saved me a lot of time. She got some fantastic deals!

We had lunch at the Mediterranean place with a couple we are friends with. It was SO yummy! I ate a bit of bean salad and a small slice of my crustless pumpkin pie thing for dinner. I still feel full! bleh!

Happy Monday! Now we enter the starting stretch of the run to the Holidays. I do NOT feel ready! I have this open house Sunday afternoon and I have SO much to do! I need to finish framing some paintings, then I need to fire the kiln, glaze and fire again...I may have TWO kiln loads of glaze stuff to do. (when you fire work the first time, it can touch, so you can stack bowls, etc. When you glaze, it can NOT touch, so it takes more room)

I am sure I am NOT thinking of details I should be...like price tags, and displays. I am anxious about it...I really want to sell some stuff! Especially since I need clay. I am almost out.

Time to go get ready for water aerobics! Will be back later and try to do individual messages...love you all, and thanks so much for your friendship and encouragement!

Happy Monday. Hope everyone had a great Thanksiving. I ate just a spoonfull of all the bad stuff and was not stuffed. Had dessert but did not worry about it. The baby was at my house part of each day for 4 days so that was wonderful. We went shopping about 1;30 Friday morning. It was nice that no one was in the malls. Got some bargains and I am done unless there is something in particular someone wants. Not going to walk around looking for something to spend money on, I will just give them the money. Everyone has something to open

Didn't realize it, but Wed my leg started tightening up. Thursday it was really tight and it hit me that is was what happened in July when that Bake's cycst burst in my leg. So I have been icing and elevating it for the last 3 days. Everywhere I went (even shopping) I went in a wheelchair. It wasn't great but at least I was with my girls and it is a tradition. My pain dr thinks the fracure in my foot may be causing my problems with that so he is setting me up with an ortho guy to look at the cyst and the fracutre. I have it propped up on boxes and ice bag right now.

Seems like I am falling apart. Every day it is something else. I am so depressed about it. I know my DH must hate it. Seems liek they are doing everything. I know y weight is a big factor too. I have to get this off and just don't know what to do.

Ellen, I am sure you enjoyed your grandkids for the holiday. It is one day so don't worry about being full. Back on track....... Try to organize yourself (make a list) for Sunday. I sure hope you sell a lot of stuff.

Toni, we got snow on Friday morning. Everyone selpt for 2 hours but me. I sat in the kitchen and watched it snow. I couldn't believe it. Glad it melted quickly but it was cold. I miss having leftover turkey to eat.

Crystle, sounds like you did great with your eating. Good for you.I know you had fun with those babies.

Mercee, hope you had a great weekend.

Off to do something I can do sitting. I meet with the back surgeon in the morning. I am so done with all this injury crap. Have a great day.

Just made a pan of turkey enchilada's for dinner. Not much turkey left from the breast I cooked. Its been rainy and dreary out today so I've not done much. It feels like a day to kick back. Right now I'm having a nice cup of hot tea.

Ellen- Hope your work out went good. Sounds like you have a ton of stuff to do. Bet your stuff at the open house is wonderful.

Solly- So sorry about your leg and foot. Using the wheel chair was such a smart idea. You're so lucky to have girls to shop with. Wow you got snow. We just got some freezeing rain Thanksgiving afternoon.

Mercee- The wedding sounds nice. Glad you had a good meal Thanksgiving.

Crystle- What are you doing? Have your got your decorations up?

Default Howdy

Good afternoon. Despite having to take three days off to rest my messed up back I was able to lose two pounds over the holidays.

Solly... Hang in there. Once everything heals you'll be feeling tons better. We didn't get any snow but had one really cold day. The weather is so goofy here. It is 74 right now but will only be 57 tomorrow.

Toni...How was your weekend? We had a nice time picking out the tree. My youngest was in charge of cutting and dragging it for the first time. He did a great job.

Mercee...I agree. We are blessed beyond measure even on our worst days.

Ellen...praying you have great sales. It is so exciting.

Gotta get some cleaning done..err

Love and hugs,
Crystle
