Good morning ladies. Another day, a new day. Did well yesterday. Hope to do the same today. I weighed at home today and it was the same as the therapy place so I will stick with it. I put on long pants today and they are snug in the waist. Even more reason to get going. At least I won't be able to eat today, my tight pants will remind me not to.

Mercee, you work so hard you really deserve those 3 lbs. Concrats

Toni, 5 lbs is great whether it be water or fat. Like you said, it gives you a mental boost. Keep up the good work.

Ellen, does Tom know you are painting his portrait? It would be nice surprise. Can't wait to see it. Hope the scale was good to you today.

Off to do something. Have a great day

Good morning! I slept really poorly last night and I don't know why. I kept waking up and not being able to fall back asleep. I wonder if it is because I took a sleeping pill the night before....I tend to be weird with drugs...

I remembered to weigh! Woo hoo! I am down 2.5! Unfortunately, my blood sugar was up this morning. Can't tell you why...but I am going to head out and walk some this morning. That should help.

I finished the portrait of Tom though it needs some minor tweaking. Its up on Facebook. I need to figure out what to paint next...as in today!

Off to walk! I have been a slug lately, so I need to get into the habit again. Plus, its only 75 out there right now!

Default Good morning

Was down one pound this week.

Solly...you are doing great. You get well and the rest will follow.

Toni...congrats on five pounds!!!
Mercee...congrats on your loss also!!
Ellen...2.5 is great!! Also WTG getting outside.

((Everybody))

I need to get moving this morning. The neighbors came down our road early so I woke way before I was ready. One of the things about living in the country. You hear everything that isn't normal.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Good morning ladies:

How's evveryone? Went to the gym at 7:00 last night and after I got home I did a few chores and crashed. I slept really well. I was thankful.

Solly- Glad you were able to claim your loss. Yipee!!

Ellen- Congrats on your loss. Your glucose may be up because you didn't get enough rest. I hope you sleep better tonight.

Crystle- Congrats on your loss. Great job.

Gotta go. Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone... Its a beautiful day in the Ozarks. Eating has been going good. Having the hardest time at night not eating. Don't know why but I had let myself slip back into the habit of a snack before bed.

Ellen- Congrads on the 2.5 lb. loss. Thats really a good one. Love the picture of Tom. You're so good. How did he like it?

Crystle- Oh boy a lb. Good job... The walking is paying off.

Solly-Know what you mean about the snug pants. They're so miserable. We can do this. One day at a time.

Mercee- Wow the gym last night. Are you going twice a day?

Well, I am on a roll! I did ANOTHER painting today. Its of my friends two year old. I think I will send it as a surprise to her. They moved away and I really miss them!

I hope I can sleep tonight. Tom and I have been moving furniture around. My sister is coming to visit next week with her daughter in law, and five month old grandson. Her son is a Marine and stationed in Japan. Can't wait to get my hands on that baby! lol!

Eating was good. I walked this morning, got in the pool for 15 minutes this afternoon, and then walked around the house while cooking dinner. (the living room, dining room and kitchen make a circle...)

Off to bed! Good night!

Good morning ladies.

TGIF and boy do I mean that one. It's been a long week. I just hurt all over, guess it is due to being off my meds for surgery. This time next week, I will be going in. DH wanted ribs last night so we went out to eat, but the good thing was we split a dinner. I wasn't stuffed and I enjoyed something I like w/o a lot of guilt.

Ellen, can't wait to go to FB and see the pic of Tom. Great job on your loss. It was 48 here this morning. It felt so great.

Crystle, congrats on your lb. Hopoe you enjoy your day.

Mercee, wow going to the gym at 7:00 is tough. I would crash too, buth then again exercising that late would keep me up.

Toni, I sometimes have a SF popcicle or SF fudge pop at night. Try some popcorn or veggies and hummus.

No plans for the weekend other than a birthday party on Sunday for my great niece. Have a great weekend.

Good morning ladies:

Toni- We have beautiful mornings here now since the weather is cool in the morning. Saturday and Sunday it is suppose to be back to the 90's. No I don't work out twice a day. I just do 5:30 in the morning if I have a busy evening which usually is Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays. Solly made a great suggestion I usually do the 94% fat free microwave popcorn in the evenings if I am starving. It usualy doesn't even bother my blood sugar which is a good thing.

Ellen- G;ad you are really enjoying your painting.

Solly- Hope you are feeling better. Glad you enjoyed your dinner with your hubby.

Have a great day and weekend everyone.

Happy Friday everyone. Thanks for the suggestions of night eating things. I'll get out the popcorn. Wish I had some sugar free pops. Eating has been good and I did have some wine last night. Love the weather. To bad its going to be back up tomorrow.

Solly- I love ribs. I think I'll take out something to grill tonight. Sounds like maybe you can have some relaxing time this week end. That's hard not taking your meds. Is your surgery next Friday?

Ellen- Hope you got a good nights sleep. Your walking sounds good. I need to do more of that. What a wonderful gift your painting will be.

Mercee- Have a great week end. Or do you have to work?

Better make something to eat.

Hello! I have been horribly keyed up the past two days, tense, and stressed and I am not sure why. The scale has been a wonder. I hopped on this morning and I was down three more pounds! This puts me in a new decade and a place I have not been in maybe 20 years! The only problem is I can NOT explain why I am losing. I wonder if I should be concerned?! I have eaten more today than I have the past few days, and I found that when I ate more, it seemed to help the tense feeling..like maybe I feel bad because I am actually kind of hungry? Who knows. I spent 30 minutes exercising hard in the pool so I feel good about that.

I can't find anything I want to paint and I am kind of upset by that. I have flipped through art books, all my pictures and I just have not found what I want to do next. I think I am obsessed!

We are going to keep our grandson tonight while my daughter and her husband go to an adult birthday party. I am looking forward to seeing him! He decided he wanted to talk to me this morning, so they called and put the phone on speaker. He jabbered away, but it was hard to understand, and the concept of phone still escapes him a bit...he was trying to 'show' me things with the phone! haha!

Hi, do you mind if I join you guys? I've been sugar-free (no sweeteners, no honey, nothing just the occasional fresh fruit) for about a week and a half and it's really made a difference! I'm not sure how much I've lost so far but I can sure feel the difference in my energy levels and also I've gone from hungry all the time to not having cravings anymore.

Otherwise, DH and I (we're losing together) haven't gone on a strict diet or anything. We're just working on making better choices and listening to our bodies with what makes us feel full and what foods make us feel sluggish afterwards (for instance, we had pizza once and we could feel the effects of it for two days afterwards!).

: to Sugar Busters Running. We're glad to have you. Its a bit slow on the week end. We go by the old Sugar Busters book. And cut out also white rice, white flour, white bread and replace it with whole grains. Along with the sugar, honey, and stuff like that. It sure does make a difference in how you feel.

Ellen- Hope you're feeling better. You sure are doing good. Keep up the good work.

Got up late so going to finish my coffee.

Running! We would love for you to join us! Isn't it amazing how good you feel when you get away from the sweet and artificially sweet stuff? I would much rather have a teaspoon of real sugar once a month than cases of diet coke that make me crave everything in sight! Hop in, and tell us more about yourself! I am a potter/painter and I live in Georgia. I have three grown kids and two grandkids. I love to cook... I have struggled to lose for years and years and recently was diagnosed with very severe sleep apnea...well, the cpap machine for treatment has made a HUGE impact in my weight loss and I have lost almost 30 pounds now almost effortlessly. I am SO excited!

I need to head out and visit a friend in the hospital. She is in end stage progression of Scleraderma, a type of rheumatoid disease.

Default Howdy

I am so excited. I finally broke a 14 minute mile on the treadmill. My next mile was still under 14:30. I even ran at one point without feeling too overwhelmed. I thank God for helping me get stronger. My reward tonight is going to be a blue cheese and bacon burger. Not a big one, only 3 ounces and no bun.

Welcome Runningfromfat!!
We'd love to have ya. This is a great group of ladies that have really helped me in my journey.

Ellen...hope you get over the yuckies. I'm thinking you could paint a picture of Jesus. Wouldn't that be hard? Kinda your own version. I'm so excited about your weight loss. I didn't realize how much you'd loss. It has been flying off. You have worked SO hard to get to this place. If I could I'd give you a giant hug. You have proven determination pays off.

Toni... What you been up to this weekend? The weather still behaving?

Solly... WTG sharing your meal the other night. Hubby and I do that kinda..LOL He eats a whole dinner and half of mine.

Mercee...Hope you are having an awesome weekend.

((Everybody)) Don't care how many boards or groups I join this one is the BEST!! Ya'll ROCK!

Love and hugs,
Crystle

I just realized I have two days to lose four pounds to make my goal for Sept 1...I really don't think it will happen, but I am pretty happy I am this close! Since the second week of March I have lost 26 pounds. That works out to be about a pound a week. I will take it! Slow and sure...slow and sure. They say it stays off better if you lose slowly. Its funny though..if I look at pictures of myself from last June and then now, I really see the difference, but no one has noticed! I whined about that to my oil painting teacher and she quipped that it was because everyone was too busy looking at my paintings to notice! Made my day!

Going to the market tomorrow, then I have to clean for my sister's arrival!
