~ Hi Everyone ... well it's the end of another week; an exhausting one for me; I'm ready to flop already!!! Yesterday we went to town for our weekly thang ... shopping and I walked much more than ususal, so my legs were aching last night. But the good news is that I have met my goal and have now surpassed it ~~~
And today, the weather was just so amazing (full sun; but cool), that I just had to get in another 30 minutes of ski-walking. Probably don't have much time for that left. Sorry to hear all you northern states are getting dumped on; it seems to be missing us (thank you ^ big guy^ ~ hehe)!!!
CHERYL ... ~ visit us again ~ we like company!
SUE: hi ~ nice to hear everything is going well.
WILMA: we have had fluctuating temps here too; but sunny now!
100%: Congrats on the 2 lbs; it all counts!
LENA ~ congrats on the jogging; I haven't done that since I was young. With my injuries, I have to stick with walking, ski-walking, chair aerobics, swimming/aquatics, etc. But, I'm not complaining cuz I've lost quite a bit so far. Will likely be getting weighed again soon; was concerned about that cuz winter's not my best time of year for exercising. I get concerned about stalling at this time.
GARY: sorry the kids still haven't found a solution ... why don't YOU buy it???
Take it out of petty cash or something; and bail out those kiddies! Or, sell them yours at a reasonable price; use that as a down payment for the big house; fix it up and sell it later??? Uhhhh ... it was just a thought ~ hehe ...
Well, we're just having a quiet night at home tonight; we may go out tomorrow, as they are calling for another lovely day. Not much else goin' on here other than that. So, I guess I'll call it a night; prayers for REBA ~ take care all; GOD BLESS ~ your fellow encourager ... Rosebud.
Good Morning! I just happened across this site and was pleasantly surprised at how "gabby" everyone is. I post daily on the Calorie Counting thread and am the gabbiest person there. You guys/gals put me to shame. Hope my "Maxine" jokes don't offend anyone!
I hope everyone is off to a great start on their week-end. Angie has already walked the dogs, they did 45 minutes. It was an easy day for her in her training, yesterday she took them on a 3.5 mile run. They are pretty pooped out now, the dogs not Angie! She is getting ready to head off to bell choir practice.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
We are having a BBQ here today. I am not sure what we are having, there has been some going around that it will be sausage for dinner. Angie and my ex-wife have the details down, all I need to do is make sure there is plenty of
BOBOLINK ~ and please come back and visit/stay. We always have room for more! Are you talking about the MAXINE jokes that my best friends wife e-mails me EVERY SINGLE DAY?
CHERYL ~ Again to our part of the threads! As I said we can use a littleof your humor here.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENTME ~ Glad to see you had a little A loss is a loss! What women does not feel better after shopping! We will continue our prayers.
LENA~ I used to take notes too ~ then I realized that if you scroll down, as SUE said, you can read past posts! Way cool Keep up on your but be carful to not over do it. Angie does a couch to 5K program on coolrunnings dot com. Have a great week-end.
AUNT SUE ~ I can see ion the news that you are getting hit hard again with the weather. I can't figure out what is going on I keep sending Must have something to do with the time change being early I hope you enjoyed your TV and prayers that you can get "OUTSIDE" soon!
ROSEBUD ~ On the idea of Angie and I buying that house! About all we could do would be to help them out a little each month on the payment. that would work for now but not when it goes up over $2,000 MORE a month in two years! I feel so sorry for my son and dil. My ex-wife, Angie and I are looking at any possible solution, calling everyone! Watching to see what if anything the government is going to do to get this mess taken care of. All a long I kept saying these people will not be able to afford this in a couple of years...no duh!Like my son says "DAD, WILL I BE THE FIRST ONE TO EVER BE FORCLOSED ON AND HAVE MY CREDIT RUINED WHEN I NEVER LIVED IN THE HOUSE ~ MY NAME WAS NEVER ON THE HOUSE ~ AND I WILL NEVER LIVE IN THE HOUSE, PROBABLY? HOW CAN I END UP BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR A DEBT OF OVER $600,000? HOW CAN THAT BE! THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR I just don't know what to say. There just has to be some way out for him. Please keep praying! Keep up the good work on your goal!
WILMA ~ I hope your husband is home and safe for the week-end! A nice relaxing week-end for you I pray.

Coming out of hiding (again!)
First, I want to thank Gary for reminding me about the Christian Encouragers thread. I'm Joanne, I've been here at 3FC since 2003, but I'm still a 'lurker'; mainly on General Chatter, 100 +, and Depression. My name is not only about my medical status (paralysis of right leg & foot, unable to drive or leave the house w/o help), but my spiritual journey . I'm anxious to get acquainted with everyone..and I'll probably be using that 'scroll' button a lot to check on everyone's posts.
Gary: I'm so sorry to hear about your DS & DIL's predicament. I can't imagine paying $2000 + for a morgage payment. We're spoiled down here in the South. Our median home price is still less than $200 K in our county. Prayers going up for your nephew too. Tough love is hard. My son is a recovering meth addict, and he's finishing up a 2 1/2 year prison sentence. Praise God he's in a work-release program now, and he'll be done in August. God is working all things for good in his life!
Happy St. Pat's Day (don't drink too much green beer)!
Homebound ~ Thanks for visiting, I have run across you before. Please stay this time if you can...we have a lot we can share together! Prayers for your health!
Yes, I love the Maxine jokes. I usually change my "Maxine Jokes" every time I change my weight ticker but lately I've been dropping the weight pretty fast and I can't keep up. I see you have two dogs, we have a two year old English Setter. He's got his peanut butter bone in his mouth. At least once a day he brings this very bone to us to fill with peanut butter. He has a whole bucket of bones but this one is his favorite.

BOBOLINK ~ and please come back and visit/stay. We always have room for more! Are you talking about the MAXINE jokes that my best friends wife e-mails me EVERY SINGLE DAY?
Hi Everyone ~ Well, I posted a nice long one last night; and it went "POOF" up into la-la land, before I could finish it off. I was so annoyed, I bid "ADIEU" and went to bed.
Hope you all had a happy St. Patrick's day!!! We are mostly Irish on both sides of our family (with just enough Italian mixed in to spice things up a bit).
to BOBBI and JOANNE ~ glad you found us; come again.
We're having a beautiful weekend, so we went out "TOURIN'" yesterday for the afternoon, just cuz the weather was so lovely. This is a favorite past-time here. There's still lots slushy ice on the lakes, but the big rivers are flowing well; so it was enjoyable, just the same. Some of our friends went ice fishin'; but we resisted it, when we saw the ice bridge was starting to melt (no thanks)!
GARY, a banger BBQ ~ sounds great; one our favorites too!
Hi to SUE, WILMA, LENA, 100%, CHERYL; and prayers for REBA. Have a great weekend everybody ~ your fellow encourager ... Rosebud.
sorry I haven't been posting... I had my gallbladder removed Wednesday and stayed overnight at the hospital...
how are you? How was your weekend?? Mine was quiet but that shouldn't surprise anyone... i spent time dozing and reading and working on a puzzle...but I did get out some!
My mom, sister and I went to a yard sale and then an estate sale yesterday... out for several hours... then I went with a friend driving through town for pictures of the old homes (She's getting ready for the pilgrimage art show) and then to walmart- did ok... I was tired at the end of the day but ok. Today I went to church and then lunch...boy... didn't realize it would hurt like it did to sing with the choir! should have sat it out... for lunch we went to chinese- but Theresa and I did well...didn't really enough to go! I was worn out when I got home- don't know if it was a combo with yesterday or what...but I've rested all afternoon and didn't go to church tonight... tomorrow I go back to work... pray that my energy holds during the day!
Hi! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Not much happening here in my part of the world. I had a quiet relaxing weekend. Now it's back to work again.
Reba: Glad to hear your surgery went well and that you're up and around already. Take care of yourself!
A big welcome to all the newbies here. We would love to have you join us.
I wish I could talk to all of you individually but I just looked a the time and I have to get going to work. Have a great day!
I need to implore all of you for your prayers (and maybe some advice). I seem to have hit a plataeu and am getting really really frustrated. The last 3 weeks have had VERY low numbers at my weigh-ins. I am still losing, but I was pulling in really good numbers (23.5 lbs in 6 weeks), and now I'm at 25.5 lbs in 9 weeks... It is really frustrating for me and now I'm finding I'm lacking the motivation I use to have to exercise. If it wasn't for my mom calling me in the morning so we can walk together, I know I wouldn't be getting up to walk any more.
One of the reasons it is bugging me is 4 weeks ago I was up and out the door before my mom called, and now I'm so discouraged that I'm barely awake before my phone rings. Also, I have been steadily increasing my exercise (hence the excitment over being able to jog). I thought for sure I'd get at least 2 lbs this week simply because I jogged a couple days.
The ladies in my diet club think I'm not losing because I'm not eatting enough protein. I'm no so sure about that, but I know I'm eatting different types of protein during lent than I did before lent. *sigh*
Sue: You're a genius! I never noticed that I could do that, and it makes my life so much easier!
Gary: your family and their situation is in my prayers. How do you view patron saints? I'm catholic and they are a big part of things for us. You might want to pray to St. Jude and St. Rita. They are the patron saints of hopeless causes and impossible dreams (respectively). I pray to both of them every night because I view my own financial situation as such. I'm pretty sure you could find a novena online.
Reba: Glad you're back and feeling better! I did a lot of puzzles myself after my surgery a couple years back. Those and word searches. lol
Homebound, Bobbi, Cheryl:
Rosebud: I know what you mean about not being able to jog... That's why it was such an accomplishment for me. My orthopedic surgeon told me I'd probably never be able to run again (and it killed me to hear that at 18 after my ankle injury and again at 20 when I got the diagnosis on my knees). I'm curious about ski walking... what exactly is that? I'm familar w/ skiing... but not ski walking. Do you need snow for it?
To everyone in the tundra region N of the Mason Dixon: Dang it! Take your cold weather back!!! It was 48 degrees this morning when I was walking! I'm going to turn into a if it stays this cold!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was a good girl and limited myself to one green beer and 8 raw oysters.
