Hello! Just a quick minute before heading off to work. I just wanted to touch base with all of you. I'm thrilled at the activity here.

I've been doing much better with my eating. I tried on a pair of pants that I wore last summer and they were a bit snug. I do NOT want to get back to my old size so I'm smartening up. Thank goodness we can barbeque now so it'll be a lot of chicken, etc. with grilled veggies and salads. No one here is complaining about that!

My evenings are spent helping DH do some work in our basement. Gary never showed up so he's doing it himself. I also got my flower bed cleaned out last night and got some fabric ready for a baby quilt for my niece. BUSY!

Gary: I had to laugh at your story about Ron and his money. My son is still doing his practicum, no paying job yet but he's car shopping. I guess it doesn't hurt them to dream and it is incentive to get that job.

Wish I could talk a bit more but gotta go.

Default I need a Hug!

Oh my I need a group hug! After a doctor appointment I very unwisely went to Walmart with my husband. I was hungry and my blood sugar was low. I have been crashing a lot , I am still trying to adjust my insulin shots down. I am still not there yet because I take them down and my sugars get running too high, so I go back to my norms and then I start crashing! Oh well I will get it right soon. Anyway as I was saying there I was at Wally World and OH MY GOSH, Le Air Du Temps and I found my self sitting in front of the window of the deli staring at the Asian boneless chicken wings!
I just sat there and "oh, no!" here comes the deli worker, who asks me if I would like to try one? so I did and, well you guessed it. I bought 1 lb of asian chicken wings. I took them and ate a whole bunch of them in the car and gave the rest to my husband, but I did eat the majority of them. This is my 1st mess up since I started and I am sure it won't be my last. But since God's Word says to confess our sins one to another, I am confessing I blew it. But I am right back on track.
One thing I am happy about is that, at my Wallys World there is a McFatolds and I was really being tempted to go in there But THANKS BE TO GOD, I made it past there, and that is where that place needs to stay, IN MY PAST!!!
I know I didn't have to get those wings, I could have just as easily bought and ate in the car, things that were on my diet. But I did not and I am not going to beat myself up over it, Just try to use more wisdom next time and stay out of walmart when I am hungry!!!! I WANTED THEM and did not need them!
I am getting excited to go and get weighed this Sunday after Church! I only weigh once a month on the last Sunday of the month. I do that because I have congestive heart and water weight makes the scale bounce around. So when I go 1X and weigh I see a true loss after a month.
God Bless You All! Hope I didn't make anyone mad because of all the jabbering I did.
Love in Christ, Gwyn

Ah Gwyn, You have done exactly the right thing - immediately repenting, turning back to your plan, back on board. And that is not always easy to do! I do identify and just say, "Bless your heart, it's so hard!" Also, with your medicines not in sync it is probably eaiser to "upset the apple cart" or in this case the Asian chick. box. But one important thing - you did not eat them all. So that, my friend, is a BRAVO!! for you!
God's Word says, "You shall keep My statues and practice them:I am the Lord who sanctifies you." -So each challenge gives us more practice to get it right and our God says He is sanctifing (changing) us. Lev.20:8
So be encouraged and keep jabbering (to us chicks), feeding on His Word (and staying away from those asian chicks), and you will be weighing in with a smile on Sunday!.. Have a blessed day!

Hi all,
I would love to say that I'm new to 3fc, but I'm not. I used to post all the time, but it has been several years of not bothering to do anything about my weight, until recently. Anyway, I've been reading your thread and would like to join your number. Just about a month ago I joined Curves, and as I was walking home I just prayed for the Lord's strength to get through this and get healthy. The Lord is being His wonderful, faithful self, in that I am staying more on program than I have ever been able to before. I still have my "human" moments, but thank the Lord above for grace. I've been doing South Beach diet and going to Curves, and that seems to be working for me. I'm due to have my 2nd weigh and measure at Curves this week, and I know there will be some good news since I just had to buy a smaller size shirt and pants. (I will keep you posted.)
The biggest thing I'm finding challenging right now is getting to Curves consistently. I want to go three days a week, but I have two daughters at home, and it is hard to find a time that works with my husband's current schedule. We have had a lot of chaos in our world of late, (long story, not ready to tell it now) and it has meant that my DH has to have two jobs right now. It makes it a little rough. It seems the best time to go to Curves for me would be about 7am, but I'm not much of a morning person. So my goal for the next week is to get to Curves tomorrow, and then Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of next week. I think reporting in here will help keep me accountable.
Well, this is probably one heck of an introduction, but anyway, hope you can welcome me and my ramblings to your thread.

I've come to read this morning because I am disheartened by some folks who (tho' they believe) think they are weak, easy pickin's for evil.
My God is strong! I am His and He has made me strong and worthy.
Rejoice today that you are filled with the Holy Spirit and wrapped in God's protective love and guidance!

OK ... I'll go read the whole thread now.

I feel much better now thanks!

Amanda said ....I still have my "human" moments .... we're all just humans. But God has made us so, and has made provision for that. Isn't that awesome?

Hi Susan B! Be encouraged my dear sister in Christ! He who began a good work in those believers, will be faithful to complete it in them. I know it can be disheartening when you are keenly aware of His glorious power and presence! And then other believers we may be close to are waviering in doubt , dispondancy and even what seems like coldness towards the things of the Lord.
But Cheer Up my sister, because I am here today because even when all others gave up on me, and I even gave up on myself! God never did!
He is faithful even when we are not!
He will complete that good work in which he began in them.
God Bless Your Heart and Courage SusanB! Keep the Faith! Keep your eye's on Jesus and His Love, warmth and Joy in the Holy Ghost and remember in the end He wins!
PheonixRising: Back!!!!!! Thank God!!!!!!!!
About that getting up early and getting to the exercise curve, well His WORD says that: I can do all things through CHRIST!
You can do it, God says you can! The question is.... do you want to?
HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT????
So glad you are here and GOD Bless you and GOD empower you to do what is right for you and your family. God empower you to do HIS WILL, in Jesus Name Amen!
doitforme: Thank you so much for the Love and encouragement!
elizbennet: Thank you also for the Hope and Love and encouragement! God is an ever present help in times of trouble! He makes ways where there seems to be no way! Next time I will look for His way of escape, I knew better.
HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD AND TO HIS CHILDREN!
wilma12: It is wonderful to be here on this thead of wonderful, sincere, honest beleivers in Christ! I love you all in JESUS!
Thank you for the welcome,Love, encouragement and friendship you and all the others have provided her on 3 fat chicks on a diet! and until later Love in Christ Gwyn
I WILL DANCE!

Hey, hey hey! It's Friday and I'm going to see my Ma-Ma tomorrow! Yep, I'm sittin on go! I will miss talking at you ladies and the EZMoney team - where are you guys? - But, the Lord willing, I will be back before you can even miss me - Sunday evening or Monday. I'll be looking forward to hearing some good news from Gwyn on that wt. in.!!!!
Sue - thanks for the encouraging words, it's just that I know All to well what we are all working through! (Chisel, chisel one chip at a time!)
And Amanda - Oh my goodness, I certainly have gone through times of neglecting this challenge of working on self. But, now "we" are facing the problem and we do have the Hope of conquering it - being master over it! I have had in my heart, the verse from Romans - Do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies - and thanks be to God, He is helping me/us serve Him and not the evil one -who desires to have us. Ok now, you get that exercise time worked out. It is important to your wt. lose plan! And by the way, Welcome BAck!!!
Susan -I agree, God's provision is truly indescribably awesome! Our God who spoke the stars into existence and breathed us into being - WOW!
Gwyn - You Go Girl! Praise God He's not through with us till He says, "Come Home, Child!" Until then He will just keep on chiseling away on this ole' stone!

Good morning. Thanks for the encouragement!
I had a lovely coffee time with DH and DS#1 this morning. A true blessing. Lovely Christian men, them both.

Now, I have to ... um ... want to be a good steward of the many material blessings I have been given How's that for a fancy description of house work (yuk).

by the way Susan I love your quote! Eat Less...Eat Clean...Cardio...Weights... I totally agree with that! I got the eat less down and the Eat clean down, but I still haven't gotten to any cardio or weights yet. I am going to see the doc this week and plan on asking him what kind of things I should or could be doing at this point.
Hey you have a great and Blessed day with Jesus! Love in Christ your friend, Gwyn

Morning everyone!
Gwyn ... I started with 2 lb weights and very quickly loved it. I watch hockey with dumbells in my hands or a band wrapped around my ankles
I didn't get all my housework done but I enjoyed every bit I did ... and that is a blessing for me.
We fetched home our college boy yesterday. I'm so happy to have him here in a Christian atmosphere for the summer.

Hello everyone,
I have had such a busy week I haven't had time to do anything more than just read about you all. I teach high school drama and this week was our play and my 5 yr. old's birthday party, so to say I was swamped is an understatement. I hadn't had time to exercise or anything, so I was really dreading getting on the scales this morning. But Glory to God! when I weighed this morning I had lost another 1.5 pounds.

It has been such an encouragement to read about your successes and struggles this week. Just knowing that I am not the only one...well, it is a great source of comfort.

I just got home from a Spirit-filled worship service, the weather is perfect, and I think I may spend part of the afternoon (after the kiddos nap) at the park. Can it get any better than this?

Love to all - you bunch of losers! (Isn't is strange? That is a positive thing here.)

Cool This is the day the Lord has made ~ REJOICE!

HI EVERYBODY ~ ~ Man, I have been trying to post all week with no success; my pc has been acting up something awful. I added more warrior programs and I think they are working tooooo well; blocking me every step of the way in here. Even today, it took me several attempts to get into this thread; it kept sending me back to the main board! I just kept praying "OK Lord, if I am supposed to post, show me how to get in, please!"

I took a break and put my chicken dinner in the oven; came back and found a way to get in. Sorry, I missed the whole week and all your posts and questions; I'll try to catch up as best as I can. We had beautiful sunshine almost the entire week 'til noon today; now for a rain break, which we need to fill the wells and the all the birdies are having baths as I speak (write).

I had a taxing week; but, I noted that all the negative stuff came from outside sources! So I pray and praise like crazy when this happens! Thank you LORD, for being so faithful and carrying me thru ~ and once again, we have the victory!!!

to AMANDA ~ glad you joined us!
ELLIESMOM ~ CONGRATS on your loss; that's so great. I'm ordering a scale that should be here in May; I'm kinda nervous about weighing myself. I'm going to weigh myself about once-a-month, so I don't obsess too much.
HI SUSANB ~ I know that we are very blessed as well; I count my housework as energy burning ~ that really changed my perspective completely.
WILMA ~ nice that everything's going so well for you; keep an eye on those pants; that was my mistake in the past, I think!
SUE ~ Spring is here too; we had a steak BBQ on Friday night (healthy and yummy)!
ELIZB ~ I remind myself one-step-at-a-time EVERY DAY!
GWYN ~ you have a wonderful attitude; we all slip-up a little (I wouldn't worry so much about the wings as excess protein leaves our bodies); just keep going, cuz it's just a blip overall!
HEY GARY ~ you must be busy and working hard for that wedding!

HI to REBA, MARGIE-B, LENA, JOANNE, BOBBI, RACHEL, JENNYLEE, ALLY and all the rest of you who dropped by over the last while. Hope you are all well; GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY; and keep on, keepin' on ~ your fellow encourager ... ROSEBUD. (U R all in my prayers)
