The cabbage rolls have been in the oven for almost 3 hours. At this point they are done and can be eaten. The longer they cook the better they are. 4 hours at least. I made Halushky with the leftover cabbage. We ate that for lunch but i burned the cabbage. Ate it anyway.

I have a box of dvd Movies that i've bought over the years at Goodwill. Some day i will start watching them. DH doesnt like to watch movies. He will watch a little bit then change the channel. If the movie is on again he will watch more of it. Sometimrs he will start watching in the mifdle. Next time its on he will start at the beginning because he never saw the beginning. He rarely watches from beginning to end. He likes to watch the half hour shows.and loves the old sitcoms. He has a big cabinet full of Dvds of the old shows. But he never watches them.
The Steelers don't play this week..He watched Penn State yesterday . I dont know when Pitt plays.

Cabbage rolls are good.

Trish, there are a lot of recipes online for Chicken PotPie. Some use refrigerated pie crust like Pillsbury. My mother just made a top crust with Bisquick. The trick is making the filling. You can use whatever vegetables you like.

Step daughter came and got some cabbage rolls. We have enough left for tomorrow. I ate 8 or 9 but they were small.

Today,, MFP said I earned 122 extra calories from exercise. How does it calculate that? I wonder if its from being linked to my Fitbit. I moved around a lot from being on my feet cooking.1

Had a good eating day. I ate within 7 hrs. Didn't eat anything after 3:30 pm. Tired and ready to go to bed early.

Carol Sue sounds like your cabbage food was good.

Yes,it was good. It wasnt good for the scale, though. Its up .8. To 182.6. I think it has tons of sodium so really raises water weight.

I slept from 10:44- 10:29. No reason to be tired today. I dont know why I'm sleeping so good, now, but I'm glad. I was up for the bathroom several times.

The next door neighbor left for work early, then he came flying home and left again with his wife. So maybe she went into labor. She already told us its another boy.

I have to drink my coffee and go to Walmart. They called about prescriptionsand I have a list.

Carol Sue I am sleeping so much better with the time turned back. The weight is a little higher because I am getting up earlier and weighing earlier. But that is okay I love waking up ready to get up. I have decided to go to bed around midnight or shortly after and get my 8 hrs of sleep. I only get up 2 sometimes 3 times during the night. I've always loved the longer daylight time, but I have to say that I am enjoying this time now that we are back on it.

We are going to have cooler days starting tomorrow in the 70s which are going to be nice. One night our temp will get down to 47 degrees. That will be nice.

We are having pork 'n beans with franks today. Neither of us wants to cook today. I will eat 2 meals and have a protein shake later so I can get my fiber and protein where it needs to be. I'm trying to keep the fiber at 15 g right now as I slowly move it up without problems. I try my best to keep my protein in the 80 grams.

Have a great day.

Went to Goodwill and Walmart. We also went to the local grocery because DH doesnt like potatoes from Walmart. I bought a rotisseriee chicken that I was craving. DH can have what he wants, leftover cabbage rolls or chicken. I had a cabbage roll for brunch before we left.

I'm really surprised at how much I'm sleeping. I hope it continues. It feels good . I hipe i continue to feel better, stronger. I think when I finally get back to exercising I will get back to my old self. I dont think the time change has anything to do with it for me. Im just going bc to bed earlier and sleeping later.

I had a good day. Didn't worry too much about calories today. Iknow how to eat and just ate when hungry, I did all my exercises and I feel so good bc I know I'm doing good things for my body. I did take a nap today but I think it is caused from the exercises,

It is nice here. It is raining and the temp is in the 60s and low will be 58 tonight. Don't know how long we will get these cool temps but will enjoy it while we have them.

Goodnight.

If you have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, or if you have been told you are prediabetic, it’s important to understand the challenges and strategies for managing weight loss associated with these conditions. Weight management plays a critical role in controlling blood sugar levels and can significantly reduce the risk of developing complications related to diabetes. For those with prediabetes, even modest weight loss—around 5 to 10% of body weight—can lead to substantial improvements in insulin sensitivity and help prevent the progression to Type 2 Diabetes. Engaging in regular physical activity, making dietary changes, and focusing on overall lifestyle modifications are essential components of effective weight management. Many individuals facing diabetes-related weight challenges find support through community discussions and programs designed to share experiences and strategies. Forums and support groups provide a platform for individuals to discuss their journeys, exchange tips on healthy eating, exercise routines, and coping mechanisms for dealing with the emotional aspects of living with diabetes. Sharing personal stories can foster a sense of community and encourage others who may feel isolated in their struggles. It is also crucial to seek guidance from healthcare professionals who can provide tailored advice based on individual health needs. Participating in structured lifestyle change programs, such as the CDC's Diabetes Prevention Program, can offer valuable resources and support. These programs focus on sustainable weight loss through behavioral changes, helping participants develop healthier habits that can lead to long-term success in managing their condition. If you’re interested in joining discussions or learning more about managing weight loss with diabetes, consider reaching out to local support groups or online communities dedicated to this topic.

This is such a Diabetes support group.

Good sleep again, I want to keep this momentum going. I wish I knew if something I'm doing is contributing.

Scale is down .2. I didnt expect that as I didnt weigh until after breakfast. I felt that i ate a lot yesterday. But we know there is no rhyme or reason for weight fluctuations. Just take them as they come. I want to make ravioli for dinner. I was planning meat loaf but that will be another day. I'm just in the mood for a pasta dinner. I know DH doesnt care for it, but i dont care for the casino but I still go.

Calories were 1111 yesterday. I'm considering cutting back to 1000. Thats the lowest i can go for MFP.

My weight was up .2 lb this morning. I'm sure that was the sodium in the franks. My FBG was 109 and BP was 107/63. I'm so pleased with the way my FBG and BP is going these day. I am also thankful for where my weight is although I would like it to move down, but I look back and am thankful I don't weigh 200+ any more.

dubidon I usually don't respond to these but feel that I should for now. I worked hard and got my weight down about 60 lbs eating as healthy as I could. Without medication, I got my A1c down to 4.2. I was so thrilled and then I got deathly sick and went in the hospital where they told me I had cancer. My doctor said to me "We didn't find it because you are always dieting. If you hadn't been dieting and lost all that weight we could have suspected cancer". My DS was on special meds to lose weight and lost 60 lbs and then learned she also has cancer. This doesn't mean everyone who loses weight is going to have cancer. However. I have learned that never everyone who are are diabetic will have cancer if they lose weight. But it does mean that not everyone can have the same success using the same diet. I used low carb to lose and DS used shots along with diet. We both got our diabetes under control but it didn't change our outcome. I love this group because we share our experiences as we walk this journey together.

My advice to diabetic reading is find the diet plan that works for you. If you work better with a support group good or some of you may just do better working with your doctor. I have a great support team of doctors and nurses. I eat the way my oncologist tells me to eat because he is working to keep me alive. Oncology doesn't want me losing weight. but he said as long as I watch my protein and fiber to keep them up is important.

Carol Sue I would love to have tacos today but DH mentioned pizza. We haven't had pizza in quite some time and don't eat it often so will probably get that today. That means I will have to work a little harder to get my protein and fiber where it should be today. I think it is fair that we compromise so you can have a meal DH isn't fond of since you go to casino.

I'm leaning more towards going back to IE/IF woe. I heard someone, in fact, I had 2 doctors tell me that "diets" don't work. Someone else told me as long as you weigh all the time you won't lose weight. Both those things are difficult for my brain to accept since we've been brain washed to believe we have to diet. I do know that I did pretty good when I was going through the hard cancer treatment, but then I was never hungry. They were always fussing at me because they said I needed to eat. However, I am not sure if I can trust myself now that I do have an appetite.

Half exercise done. Will do the other when I get home. I'm going to try to do the vibe machine and the bike after dinner. They say take 30 minute walk after dinner so why not do those exercises after dinner. It just might keep me from falling asleep.

BTW Carol Sue How do you make ravioli? Do you make it yourself? I don't think I've ever seen it homemade.

Have a great day everybody.

Trish,I dont makr home made ravioli. I make, sauce like for spaghetti and use frozen ravioli from Walmart. They have beef or cheese. I buy beef. IThink they have 2 different size bags. The one I buy is enough for 2 meals for us. A friend and her husband used to make the dough home made for Christmas eve because he is Italian anf his mother wanted it. You can also use wanton wrappers that are sold in the produce department. The frozen ones are fine and cook in 5 minutes or so, good for a fast meal. I have a few cans of Chef Boy Ar Dee that I will eat but DH will not, even though he eats so many other canned meals.

I understand when they say diets dont work, because if you get to goal weight and stop the diet you regain. Your body will fight to regain the weight you lost. But I believe if you change your WOE to one you can follow for the rest of your life you will lose and maintain. Everyone is different and has to find their own way.

I dont think weighing daily will stop weight loss. I went for months and months without weighing until I got on the scale and saw 217, my top weight. I knew I was gaining because my clothes were getting tight. If you dont weigh you might think you are losing but youre not. Seeing the scale go down gives you incentive. These are just my opinion and may be different for others. We each have to do what works for us. Fasring works for me as IF but i never did long term. The longest I did was 36 hours, except for the 2-5 day fasts i did in the hospital. That was beyond my control. I will admit that after losing weight after my heart procedure I regained and have just bounced up and down for the past year. I think im eating to maintain 180. I need to lower calories and not pay attention to those who say not to eat below 1000 calories. I still never get hungry except for during the night. I know from the past if im never hungry i dont lose.I think I would lose if I couldstay at 1000

Trish,i think we were warmer here than you were in TX. Our high was 81, and we broke the record of 80 in 1948. In fact we were warmer than Las Vegas. The next few days the temps are going very low.

Sleep was good, but not great. I had a hardtime falling asleep waiting for election results, buti finally fell asleep. 8+ hours.

Scale is down .2 to 182.2. It always seems to bounce back up before it gets back into the 170s. I need to work on that.

Im nervous because he always wants to go to the casino on Wednesday.

I got up a little late because I waited to see who would win the Presidency and hear him speak. I had decided at one point that I would go to bed at 2 am and DH would record his speech. However, I was able to watch it myself and go to bed. I rested very well.

We are having chili today. I had eggs, bacon, toast and SL toast along with my collagen coffee around 10:30 am and once I eat my dinner, I won't eat anything else. My plan is to get back to an IF 2MAD woe.

Carol Sue I too am maintaining, and I need to get back to losing as well. I did better with IF woe and I'm going to get back to it. I will eat a variety of foods. No low carb, high fat or high protein, but more of a balanced woe.

Well look at it this way. If you go to casino today, you won't have to go any more this week. Has Home Depot fixed your garage? I sure pray they get it fixed before it snows or you have icy rain.

Have a good day.

We talked about Home Depot today. We have heard nothing. I have to check my credit card to be sure we were not charged. I dont think they charge until the work is done. I dont understand.

We are going to the casino today because its not crowded and he can get a good machine. Its not good if he doesnt win. He swears, only Wednesday. Im not happy but I wont go another day.

I fell asleep and DH told me who won this morning. Many people are not happy. I cant even read Twitter til this calms down. People are viscious. And the discussion goes on on the talk shows on TV. They are wondering how this happened. The people voted, thats how.

I am still trying to eat low carb. I have to keep my blood sugar down as well as I can. I ate high protein but its impossible the way DH eats. I'm going to just eat healthy and continue my IF, like you.

I have to figure out what im going to wear.

DH got a goodmachine at the casino with a high jackpot,$1600.00 but he did not win. We talked on the way home and i explained that i dont want to do this anymore. Actually, we cannot afford to do this over and over if we dont win.

Something is wrong with my neighbors baby. I dont know the details but it may be cancer. When she was pregnant with her first child she was spraying Round Up but i donr know if it can affect the fetus. He develiped leukemia at a young age and was just recently cured. The second child, a daughter is fine. I didnt know she was pregnant with the third, so I dont know if she was spraying Round Up again this summer. I pray the baby is ok. I dont think they are married. They were not when they moved in and I didnt hear if they did.

Twitter is a mess over this election. Many nasty comments being made. I wull stay off it for a,while.
