The Steelers are playing tonight so DH and his brother are watching over the phone. I will go to bed when he does or before. He checked my temperarure earlier and it was 97.2 which is normal for me. Noww I feel hot and its 99.4.A little high. Im drinking cold watwr which should bring it down.
Son in law and step son are both coming on Sunday to helpwith the garage door opener. So between the 3 of them I hope they get it installed and working I think step daughter said they bought a new opener and hes hoping someone will help him. Maybe once he sees ours he will know how to do it.
This cold water is helped ng me feel better. For some reason I want mashed potatoes when im sick. Thats why i always have some instant on hand, but DH wont eat instant. It's Ccasionally he will but he prefers home made. Im not as picky as he is. I hipe I'm better by Thanksgiving.

Carol Sue I used to love potato soup that my Mama would make when I was sick but I don't feel like cooking it when I'm sick. Can chicken noodle is so much easier to warm up when I'm sick.
I finally am back down to .2 lbs less than I was on November 1st. Weight this morning was 158.4. Now to keep it going down instead of moving up. FBG was 103 and bp was normal 121/65 so all is really good.
We are thinking about going to Sam's and the local store after my infusion, if I feel like it. If we go there, then we will get the Chinese. If we decide to wait till Tuesday, I'm not sure what we will get.

My mother made good potato soup, too. She didnt make it often. DH likes it but I dont make it.
I feel terrible. I tossed and turned all night. DH must be feeling better because he didnt cough or sneeze all night. My back hurts, my head hurts, and I threw up twice.
We got 2 inches of snow overnight. The day before we had high winds and a tree branch fell off in the front and the back.
Carol Sue I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I hope you will feel better soon. I hope since you are feeling bad and you can't get your garage fixed until Sunday that you will be able to stay home and give yourself time to heal.
Infusion went very well. I get my CT Scan done on Monday Dec 9th and then get a perm on the 10th and get my next infusion on the Friday 13th. That will be a busy week. My health is improving and I pray the CT Scan will show nothing bad is going on.
We went to Sam's and then got Chinese. I have to admit that I was very much ready for it this time and it tasted good. We came home and ate and then crashed and slept all afternoon. I think I sleep so after the treatment because we have to get up so early for my appointments and when we get home we sleep to make up for the sleep we lost.
I talked to DS this afternoon and my baby niece (the nurse) wants me to come over for Thanksgiving dinner. Her sister isn't coming until the 30th so I said we will go. I won't have to cook that day. DS is ordering everything already cooked.
She and DBIL are having problems getting health insurance since our advantage plan isn't offering anything here. They didn't take Medicare when they turned retirement age because he was still working and had great health insurance through his job. Now they are being penalized for not having Medicare. They went directly from his insurance at work to the advantage plan. That is really crazy. I wonder how many people who work longer past their retirement age are going to have that problem. I think they should warn them of that.
Carol, you both won't run me off with long posts. I'm also not a wordy person and my life is usually quiet.
No, I'm not on insulin, just pills and yeah, I feel like doggy doo doo when I don't consume enough sugar. It's like walking a tight wire. My body gets weak and shaky to the point where I have to lay down. Yeah, it's pop. I'm from Ohio. Being out in Washington State, I mostly hear soda.
I'm sorry you are sick. I hate being sick. I don't handle it well. I'm a big baby especially if it hangs on. My depression will get bad.
I saw the Browns/Steelers game, it snowed so hard. I love it.. I miss snow.
Having someone else cook Thanksgiving dinner is a fantastic idea. All the food, none of the fuss. Grocery stores used to offer it but I don't know if they do anymore. My roommate is cooking it on Sat. That's all I've been doing for 2 days is chopping and peeling. Yesterday and today both she put me to work. Ohio State plays Sat at noon EST, 9 am here so I'll be watching the game. I have a DVR so if she needs me for a sec to help, I can but college football comes first. I have my priorities.
Lisa DH loves basketball more than football. We are Dallas football fans, but they are doing so bad this year and have a lot of good players out with injuries. He prefers college football and basketball.
Weight up .8 lbs and at first I thought it was because if the carby day until I remembered that they did my treatment with saline solution. Strange we had a shortage before the election, now it just quietly fixed itself. In fact, there were a few things we had a shortage of medically and now we have plenty. Politics is what it is.
Nothing much today. DH will watch basketball and I will read and doze.

Lisa, you need that mask today! I should have worn one when DH was, sick. He seems to be all better now.
Im still terrible but hope ing tomoorrow will be a turning point.
Im afraid of this RSV they keep talking about. Its bad for people over 60 with underlying conditions. I took some Tylenol and a benedryl and got a nap. I dont understand the sore throat. I have to be careful about mixing medications. Also, we only have one box of kleenex left!.So i have to be better tomorrow! DH goes out to play his lottery but doesnt bring any food home. Then he asks what we are having for dinner. Would he actually eat something I cooked right now?
I don't know if any grocery stores still sell the Thanksgiving dinner like they used to. Bob Evans does but you dont get a whole turkey. You get a casserole of white meat, no dark meat and all the sides. We used to have restaurants who served Turkey dInner on Thanksgiving but they have closed. Now we only have fast food and pizza, shops and 2 Italian restaurants. Rodneys might serve Thanksgiving dinner. So if your dont cook you are out of luck. I havent decided when im cooking out turkey but if I dont get better I will be cooking it in Thanksgiving. Step daughter already said she doesnt want anyone coming if they are sick, and I dont want to go sick.
I just checked online and Rodneys is closed but are serving take and heat meals for $16.95 per person.

Lisa, im concerned that you, said you dont eat enough sugar. More sugar shouls not be a remedty for a diabetic except in a case of lows, the way you use the pop. But if this is happening repeatedly I think you should tell your doctor and maybe he can reduce your medication. What are your doses? And what do you eat? How many meals and snacks a day and when hat do you eat each time? I dont take my med as directed but i dont recommend that. If you often have to drink pop to get your sugar up you are probably taking too much medication.
I wanted my doctor to increase mine but he,said No, so I sometimes take extra. Im probably going to run out and hes retiring but I will see what happens.

Im still sick. Throat still hurts and nothing helps. DH told me to use his cough drops but they contain sugar so there goes the blood sugar. I have chloraseptic but its from 2011 in the hospital so I wont use it. I should have thrown it away.
Guys are coming at 11:00 to install rhe opener. DH wanted them to come earlier but they probably wanted to sleep late.I hope they dont expect lunch. And i hope DGS doesnt come. I dont want him here if I'm sick. DH is not telling them that I am sick and I think he should.
I have to get dressed. I hate getting dressed at home but people are coming. I dont even feel like eating. Thats very unusual.

well its been 2 hours they have been working. DH said they took the old one down and put the new one together and have to get it put up and programmed. I have my fingers crossed.
Rusty knows Dave and Sean are downstairs and he want to go down but Mom says No. He barked for the first hour then finally stopped and fell asleep.
They have it installed now they have to program it. Yay
Its,done! Its programmed! It works! Finally. His son told him not to program the keypad but I think i want it. we used the old one.

Carol Sue I am glad the guys are getting the garage door working. I am so sorry you are still sick. Is there an OTC medication you can take to help heal you? I'm not sure what you can and can't take these days. We have to be so careful and take what our docs say trusting they are right with their advice.
Weight is struck again at 159.2 lbs but at least it is under 160 and under is under. FBG is stuck between 103 to 107 all the time... 106 today. BP 118/62 which is good since I had over 30 minutes of saline during treatment Friday. I just had eggs, cheese and bacon with collagen coffee for breakfast. I'm in the mood to eat low carb today and decided to just roll with it. Not keto but low carb. Calories will be less than 1200 and carbs, fat and protein are in excellent ranges as far as I'm concerned.
We are watching Cowboys playing today. Not to sure how this game will go since they have so many injuries of the good players out. Unless there is a college basketball game, we will watch movies the rest of the day once game is over.

I go from feeling better to feeling worse back and forth today. I think my sore throat is from
coughing hard. It just hurts when I swollow. DH had been feeling much better, almost back to himself until today doing the opener. He said the garage door was open and its gotten colder and damp. You know that feels terrible when you dont feel well. "You are not 5, why didnt you put a jacket on?". Then he realized he hadnt taken his meds today so that would lead him to not feel well. so now hes in bed already. I feel better than I did yesterday but not as good as I felt this morning. We just need to get thru this week and it should be better. I have so many things I have to do. I need to make a list and check each thing off as it gets done. DH asks me about things and I tell him " Its on my list of things to do but its not an actual list but a mental list in my head. He thinks it has to be an actual list. I used to do that when we were going away somewhere, make a list of all we had to take. He would scratch things off the list before I actually packed them.
So I want us to both get better and get our life back on track.
DH has a friend who has no job but goes around taking metal from peoples trash and takes it to get money. He called him and he came and picked up the old one they took down and some other metal junk he had. This guy gets a couple thousand $$ A week hauling junk .

Not a good night for sleep. Im having trouble breathing. Then I cough up some mucus and then I can breath better. I concidered going to the ER. Maybe I have pneumonia. I think what im coughing up iss clear or wkite. and I think if you have infection it is green or yellow. It might be better to go and get treatment than to wait and get sicker. When I start to feel better I change my mind about going.
Carol Sue I pray you don't have an infection. Perhaps you need an antibiotic. Be safe. You really don't want to be sick during the holidays.
My weight etc is basically stable and at this point in my life, I am thankful for that. Nothing major happening here today. We decided we will still go to the store tomorrow. We will need eggs and milk and a few other things to make it until next week. I got hungry for raisin bran again last night so I had used the protein shake instead of milk and ate it. It actually tasted good.
I have to get my exercises done this morning.
Do what you have to do to feel better dear friend.
