We thought thr Steeler game was going to get rained out but it stopped raining and they played. I went to bed. DH came in later but put the game on and i woke up right at the end. I fell back to sleep and sleep was ok, but not great.

Weight today was exactly the same as yesterday, 183.4. It tried to go down but didnt.

I found my script for bloodwork so i will go this morning. On Mondays DH likes to go to Bob Evans for breakfast. I will have a haed time convincing him that i have to get the blood work done before i eat. He will not want to wait. if he insists, i just wonr order anything.

im glad your sister is home.

Trish,my first diet was when i was 21 and since that time i have known what i weigh every day. i am obsessed with it. i dont think i would ever stop weighing. There are some people who never weigh, and dont even own a scale. I own several. The first time i renmember getting weighed was when i applied for a job at Murphys. i got weighed on one of those scales that you put a penny in and get your weight and fortune. i weighed 124. I was 18 years old. Three years later i weighed 150 and started my first diet. I lost and maintained at 125 for 10 years, then i started gaining when i met DH. I have to watch like a hawk to lose anything. My body has a tendancy to gain. Some people are naturally thin and they just never gain. i grew up eating 3 meals, whatever was out in front of me and eat til the food was gone, in most cases i ate til i was stuffed. As a child, my body was using it for growth. As an adult it just continued to grow. I have never been satisfied with my weight and size since age 31. Having said all that, what that woman did would never work for me. That was me during the time i went from 135 to 217. I ate whatever i wanted all the time and i ate til i was stuffed. And i weighed sporatically but never liked the number i saw. it never went down.

So its possible that you are overthinking this, but you have lost a lot of weight. You might not be where you want to be, but you are way lower than you started out.

Got a text from DS this morning and she is looking forward to getting her treatment started. She will be having her treatment when I get there for lab work. I don't think she will be finished when I get there. They are kind of slow. However, she has a port where I do IV's with needle so hers could be a little quicker. It will be interesting to see how things go for her.

My weight was up to 161 this morning so I've got to pull things back down some. We will be going to Sam's and then to Walmart. We have our Spendable cards that we get money every 3 months so we use it to get medicial things like diabetic products and some vitamins with the cards.

DH has been wanting KFC so we will get that today and get a few groceries. I'm out of yogurt and we need milk and eggs.

I watched a doctor that DH watches who says he wouldn't go to a doctor unless he had to. He says one size fits all diets do not work. He said that when he needed to lose weight that he just cut back on his carbs. He says that doesn't mean keto or no carbs... no pasta. It means moderation. I think he is right. He said we are conditioned to eat carbs because our ancestors ate them, but we aren't as active as they were. He said mean on average need to eat about 2500 calories and women 2000, but he said that is even too much for most of us because we are not active enough to eat that many calories. I pretty much agree with him.

Hope your labwork goes well.

Blood draw went well. We dod not go for breakfast but we went to Goodwill.

AOur automatic garage door opener hasnt been working properly for months. The button on the wakl in the garage works perfectly, but if we come home its hit or miss if the door is going to open. In one car its a remote that came with the garage door opened and in the other car its built into the car by the manufacturer. We just had to set it to our garage door opener. We have to use our house key to go through the front door then go down to open the garage door. Well, DH lost his key. I hada an extra one so i gave it to him. He lost that one, too. So every time it doesnt work he asks for my key. I told him to get a couple made but he never did. We have decided to just get an all new system instead of getting it fixed because its old. He just doesnt make the arrangements. i could do it, but home maintenance is the mans job. I guess im going to have to push him to do it. i dont know what im going to do about him losing his house key. Maybe put it on aa,chain around his neck. We should also have one hidden outside somewhere like some people do.

My doctor just called and said my A1C ia 7.4 and hes satisfied with that because it was 8 something last time while i was still taking the fluid pills. But im not satisfied. i think i can do better. Unfortunately he will probably not want to increase my meds even though I would prefer that he did. Well see what he says on Thursday.

DH says we are going to Home Depot for a new garage door opener.

I didn't see DS at oncology because she was seeing the doctor when we got there. We confused all the nurses in the infusion room when we walked in there... they were saying "We don't have you down for today". I told them I was coming in to see my sister who was having her 1st treatment today and that I would see them Friday for my treatment. I talked to DS after I got home and she said they didn't give her as strong a treatment as originally planned because she had been ill. So far she is doing very well. She sees her primary tomorrow as a follow up to her hospital trip. She sounds good.

We were both very tired after going to the store. I found some good Healthy Choice tv dinners that I like and a couple of Banquet Salisbury steak dinners. I don't guess they make the Swiss meatball dinners that I like, however, there was a man who told DH that the local store has Healthy Choice dinners for less price than what Walmart charges. However, we didn't go to the local store today.

I hope you get your garage door fixed. Ours started acting up before we had the hail storm, but we had to have the doors replaced after the damage and we got new openers for them. It is very nerve racking when you don't know if the door is going to open. We seldom use our front or back doors as we always come in through the garage.

I think I'm going to end up eating less if I do not count calories. I bought the cutest pot for making popcorn in the microwave. I plan to eat popcorn and drink one protein shake in the evening. I've had 2 cheese crackers when we left oncology so I could take my allergy and antibiotic pills. I had 2 pieces of KFC chicken, a little bit of their cole slaw and broccoli Normandy veggie blend. I will have a my protein shake and popcorn later tonight.

Have good evening.

Sounds like things are going well for your sister and you. I pray that it continues.I looked at my lab results on my portal. I have a $30 copay if I go there but it's worth it to get myresults same day. Mt triglycerides are high. I have to cut back on carbs and get my body moving. This doctor will be gone by the time I get my next blood work but I want to improve them. I'm going to try to get him to give me a request for next time even though he will be gone.
We never use our doors except to go on the porch or deck. We use the garage doors to come and go. We got a new garage door 9 years ago but the opener is 43 years old No wonder it broke.

Weight was down .04 lbs today which is good since we had KFC yesterday. I didn't track calories yesterday but am tracking today just to see how things go for DH and myself when we moderately eat the foods we like. I plan to do a 10 hr eating window with meals/eating times 5 hrs apart as much as possible. I can't do that when I go for lab or infusions. I weigh when I go for infusion, so I do not eat breakfast on those day plus can't eat on days I have lab. My plan is to also eat only as much as I need or want not high calorie. If a woman should eat about 2000 calories which I've never done, then my limit of 1400 calories on heavy eating days should work out very well.

I had rolled oats with berries and Greek yogurt. We will have a ham sandwich for lunch with sweet potato fries. I will finish my eating day with popcorn and a protein shake.

Watching Hurricane Milton. I think it is going to go through right between family in No FL and those in So FL. They may still get a lot of rain and could experience some flooding. Praying for the safety of all those in line of this thing.

Sleep was good but not as long as I'd like. I took long to fall asleep, but good sleep once i did.

Scale is down to 182, down 1.4. im happy with the steady downward trend. I hope I will soon be in the 170s and continue downward.

i had my breakfast around 11_am. Scrambled eggs with SL toast and sauteed mushrooms. We had a hard time getting mushrooms. Walmart didnt have any big packs so i was going to buy 2 small ones. DH said we would check at Aldis but they didnt have any big ones either so we got 2 small ones. Maybe the suppliers are not shipping big packs for some reason. It costs more for 2 small ones.

Today we will probably eat the steaks i defrosted yesterday.

I have a credit card issue to resolve today I hope this works out favorably.

I pray for the safety of all in the track of Milton. I have a friend in Tampa, but she always evacuates to her daufghters when there are hurricanes. She gets minor flooding otherwise, but she is safe.

______________

DH said he does not want the steaks for dinner. I told him to decide what he wants and to quit asking me what we're having if hes not going to eat what I plan. So, as far as Im concerned we're having steak. He can decide the sides.

Scale stayed at 182. Sleep was good.

We ate the steak yesterday with home fries and broccoli. There were 3 steaks in that package, i dont know why. I guess I was expecting company!😊

I didnt get my credit card issue worked out but I researched and got all the information together. It was time to cook dinner and I didnt know how long the call would take. I hope i can do it today.

Hope all is ok,Trish.

Weight up 1 lb but that was my fault. I'm adjusting to my more casual woe and I overate last night. I won't do that today. I seem to be mostly in the low end of Pre-Diabetes. This might be the way things will be for now. I'm trying to eat what I like but keep my calories between 1000 to 1200 for now. I said I bought Healthy Choice, but they are Marie Callendar and DH got a chicken parmesan dinner which we sill half and add our salad or veggies with it. I plan to have my Normandy blend veggies with mine.

I talked to DH DD last night and they will probably get rain but not in line for any bad stuff. Not sure about DH DSIL. I'm still concerned about her DFIL who insists on staying put and riding it out. They have tried to get him and her in-laws to come to their house but so far they won't do it. So hopefully everyone will be okay.

I wrote the oncologist about my bone density and the Primary wanting me to talk to him about treatment. It turns out that they test my kidneys for treatment which they do any way and they can choose a brand and dose according to those tests. I won't see him Friday but will set up an appointment for him to address the situation. I trust him to treat me safely. I got the results of my labs and oncologist was right about the CA 125 that was going up while I was off treatment. It has come back down and my kidneys are better as well as the BUN and the BUN/Creatinine ratio are down as well. So thank God things are better.

So far DS is doing very well with her treatment. She was also given oxygen to keep on hand so she will have it if she needs it.

Have a good day.

Im glad that you are getting everything in line and things are going well for your sister. Thiss iss what we pray for.

I made the initial call for my credit card and they gave me a run around. But when i mentioned Fraud and The FTC they said its been cancelled and credit was issued. i will also deny the charges with the cc company until the credit comes thru, and might still report it to the FTC. According to them I subscribed to this, but i did not knowingly subscribe. it was definately fraud. This is a load off my mind.

I also did not receive credit for a return to Amazon. Hopefully that will be easy to resolve.

DH is dealing with something digging up our back yard and SIL and step son both said its shunks. He went to Home Depot to get something to deter it and i hope this works. I dont want to let Rusty go outside if theres a chance he will get skunked. We have never seen skunks, but i checked online and it said this is something skunks do! We know we have ground hogs and raccoons but never saw skunks. i wish they would go back where they came from.

We are going to the casino later, much to my dismay, but i have to do what i have to do.

After the doctors we went to Goodwill and Walmart. The doctor didnt increase my G. He was glad my A1c went down a full point and told me tio adjust my diet.

We might be going to Texas Roadhouse for Dinner.

Carol Sue I'm glad your doctor's appointment went well. I hope you will like the new doctor replacing him. I hate changing doctors or even meeting new ones as I don't always know what to expect. Enjoy TX Roadhouse. We haven't been there in forever. It is on the other side of town and we like the one closer to us and it isn't as noisy as TX Roadhouse which is too noisy for DH when he is using his hearing aid.

I finally got word about all of the family in FL and they are all okay. So that is good to know. There are still so much to be done to clean up not only in FL but all the way up to NC. So sad.

Heard from DS and she is feeling very tired and asked me how I feel after my infusion. I told her I am usually very tired for a few days after mine. I usually come home and eat dinner and crash. She is still seeing doctors plus they are finally putting her new floors in her house. So she probably isn't getting enough rest after her infusion Monday.

Letting DH choose what we eat lately. We are having BLTs today. He says we will get Arby's on the way home from my infusion tomorrow. Weight is still around 160 and FBG was less than 110. So the way we are eating is okay as long as I don't gain and my FBG stays good. Wasn't hungry for breakfast so I had a protein shake for brunch.

Have a good day.

I'm not sure of what changes I'm going to make but i will probable cut back on carbs and establish a fasting plan, along with exercise. I did this several years back and my A1C was below 6 and triglycerides were good.

The book i read about exercise didnt offer anything i didnt already know. Now im reading aabout brown fat. Brown fat burns white fat, and some foods activate brown fat. One is celery and another is cammamile tea. I used to drink it at bedtime and i will go back to that now that colder weather is coming.

I wanted asmothered chicken and ribs at Texas Roadhousez, but any way i could get both would have been very expensive. so i just got ribs. Their ribs are great and fall. off the bone.I had a baked sweet potato with it. I could make the chicken at home. it is grilled chicken breast topped with sauteed onion and mushroom and colby jack cheese. They also offer this as a sandwich.

I wish we would eat Arbys more often but DH liked to sit down and be served, not bring things home. I liked ke the plain roast beef and also the Greek gyros. I never tried the French Dip that you like. I think we like their fish sandwiches during Lent, too. Anytime DH gets fast food it seems to be McDonalds even though we have every fast food near us except LJS. We both miss Long John Silvers.

I dont know if DH is going to want the casino tomorrow but he didnt win yesterday!
