Trish, there are a lot of big flea markets here in warmer weather. We went to them for years. I dont know how we got started going to Goodwill but its like a different flea market every
day as they get new donations 7 days a week. Its funny but step daughter and her husband go to the flea market every weekend now like we did. It is a lot of walking but i dont think i could do it now without aa walker. I have to hold onto something even if its DHs arm.

DH wanted to eat breakfast out today but everywhere was too crowded. Lots of people were off work today for Columbus Day. Our bank is open but theres no mail. So we came home and ate lunch right away. DH had a BLT and i had leftover rice and brussels sprouts from last night and a turkey sandwich. love my turkey!

The lasagna is in the oven!

I think there is,something going wrong with my taste. The lasagna didnt taste good to me today. i think it was the jar of sauce i bought. i always used Ragu Old World Style or Hunts Mushroom flavor. Walmaet doesnt carry Hunts Mushroom so i watch for it to go on sale at the local store. I bought the Great Value to try but i guess i just dont like it. I'll have to go back to what i like or make my own homemade.

The leftover rice i ate for lunch tasted fine. It was the chicken i didnt like. i used to like everyrhing.

We got apples from Step sons trees and DH made a pie. He peeled and cut all the apples then realized there were enough for 2 pies but I only had crust for 1 pie, so we winged it. We have 1 1/2 pies.

The weather has become really cold here. Last week was hot, in the 80s but now its in the 40s. I wore a winter coat todayl

Our Salisbury steak did not taste like Salisbury at all and it didn't have the sauce in it. It did have potatoes and was okay but no dessert. So it turned out okay just different. DH had mac 'n cheese in it but no dessert either. We won't be buying it again. However, I will buy Stouffer's and hope it is good.

Neck still hurts. I took to Tylenols and have the tens machine going on it now. All the things that used to work hasn't worked this time. I hope the tens machine will work so I can sleep good tonight.

I guess y'all will be going to casino tomorrow.

No, we usually go to the casino on Wednesday. i dont know why.

I didnt sleep well. I didnt take Benedryl and i think my body has become used to it. i dont want that. i want to look into why yoy shouldnt take it with Pulmonary Hypertension.

DH wants me to throw, away the deli turkey because of a recall for Listeria. But everything i read online says its ground turkey thats recalled, and just Boars Head deli meat. I want my turkey!! While I was reading that I saw that eggs are recalled, too,but only from a certain supplier in another state in the midwest. It also said not to buy Oscar Mayer Bacon becaise it has too many nitrates and nitrates cause cancer. I like that bacon because its not salty. But i wont buy it anymore. we only buy bacon a few times a year. its not a regular purchase. I really dont like it because its salty. In reading,I read that you can get sick 2 months after eating the contaminated product. People have died from it. The ground turkey is recalled for plastic pieces in it. I want to eat my deli turkey.

ok, so the article i read today said Benedryl is ok but stronger Allergy meds are not, like the ones with decongestants.

Today DH ate leftover lasagne and I took a taste. Much better than yesterday! Thats usually how it is with leftovers. He made breakfast for me but no mushrooms. He gave me bacon . I'd rarher have the mushrooms but I wont say that.

I didnt eat any deli turkey yet. i will though. i dont think its recalled. DH wants to go to Walmart for rope so I will stop by the deli and ask.

I dont know what we are eating for dinner.

I ate eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast and we had salad, pork chops and cantaloupe for dinner. I didn't get hungry again so I drank a protein shake before 10 hrs was up. So I stayed within the 10 hr eating window. I'm not sure if I can keep eating like I am because I'm retaining fluid. Will have to see how it goes. DH and I are having good FBG readings and my BP is good. Weight was even down .8 lbs today. I will give this time to see if it works out or not.

I spent the day trying to find my Medicare Card. I haven't used it since I got my Advantage plan so it is probably packed away in a safe place. Now I will have to call Medicare to get it replaced and get a number so I can sign up for a medicare advantage plan. It takes 30 days to get it in the mail.

I will get my prescription for bone medicine Thursday. I decided that I will start it Saturday morning so I won't be going any where when I try the first dose. That way if I have a reaction, I will be at home. This will also give me 2 doses before I go for my infusion.

I only take my BP meds and magnesium when I go to bed and I sleep really well. I hope you will be able to rest Carol Sue.

Carol Sue That is nice that your niece is moving back to PA. DH SIL that I think of as a sister is married to a man from PA. They bought a place and fixed it up in Northern FL and I saw him write on his FB page that he is ready to move back to PA after the 2 hurricanes they just went through.

Weight stayed the same. My weight is up to 164 lbs. I just don't want it to go up. However, my FBG was 107 and BP 118/69 so the numbers are good which makes me feel like things should eventually work itself out. However, I do think I need to tweak it or stop buying troublesome foods. Of course, that will be an ongoing lesson as I will always find foods that I may try and find that it that won't be something I can eat or have to rarely eat.

Still don't know where my Medicare Card is. but as I lay in bed last night, I realized that it is a safe place because my SS card is with it. I don't throw things away so I pray the Lord will help me figure out where that safe place is that I put it. However, I can go to SS office and have them replaced. I hope I won't have to do that.

Got to get to my exercises. I didn't do them yesterday. Added some back that I had stopped.

Have a good day.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Happy to say I found my SS & Medicare cards. It was in my billfold all the time, but the crazy thing is that I couldn't find it. Thank God it was there.

Even though my niece is moving back, i dont know if i will get to see her much. We only see each other at funerals and theres nobody left to die except us. Her mother was my half sister, same father, different mothers. We were not close because she was 17 years older. My mother was her step mother and they didnt get along. Her brother died right before she moved to Texas.

The only thing good about the casino was McDonalds french fries on the way home. We did not win, but we really tried.

im glad you found your cards. And I'm glad you did your exercise.

Weight stayed the same as yesterday. I weigh 162.2 lbs and FBG and BP still good. FBG under 110. I ate only 2 meals, but the main meal was fried chicken tenders and was eaten late. I would like to either eat 2 meals or 2 meals and a protein shake in the evening, but stop eating anything after 6 pm. No counting calories because my pc is dead and I'm using DH to do business and write on here. My new pc is supposed to be here Tuesday. So will try to check in once a day here.

Carol Sue I think DH and I both want to enjoy some of the foods we like and do more of a IF plan. I would like to keep my eating ratio 16/8 at a minimum. We will figure this out.

Got my haircut and then went to the store to get my Fosamax to start taking it tomorrow as I want to do that on Saturdays. We decided to go ahead and get our flu shots while we were there. Still need to sign up for a new Medicare Advantage plan not sure I want to do it online. Any way I do have time.

Have a great day.

I have a pile of mail to go through and by now i should have received my medicare booklet that shows all the plans, available here. I go through that every year to be sure i have the one i want. i will only change if something goes wrong with what i have now, or theres one that is blatently better as far as cost or coverage. On my insurance I pay $295 flat fee for the hospital, no matter how many days im in there, others pay so much per day. That was beneficial with how much time ive been in there in the past few years.I was very lucky it paid 100% for cardiac rehab. A lot of my copays have gone down. But ive heard that the doctors dont get paid as much by insurance as many other plaans do. My hospital was going to stop accepting it and all my doctors are under their umbrella. But that didnt happen. or i would have had to change insurance or doctors, and hospitals..

I am happy to say that I did a 5 hr eating window with less than 1200 calories. I also got our Medicare Advantage plan for DH and me for next year. I am thankful that I actually accomplished eveerything I needed to get done this week. I'm even able to use an older pc until I get the new one. It is very slow but we keep it to make labels.
