Looks like everyone is doing pretty well. I didn't quite make my 2 pound pledge, but if I can make the 1.6 pledged for next week I will be in the 140's . . . THANK GOODNESS!!

envelope, hang in there, the 180's gave me a run for my money, BUT I persevered and prevailed AND SO WILL YOU!!!!

OK, need to GO MELT SOME MORE BUTT-er!!

Sarge: No, apparently not. Once I can get my body back under my control though everything else will seem a lot easier to tolerate.

Me1st, Resolute, tubbaki, K3LL3Y, rmc, Courtney, Kendra, Cheshire, MadamB - Congratulations on the losses this past week!!

envelope: Could it be the running? Not that you shouldn't do it, just maybe a reason the scale isn't down more for you this week. For me, any running at all causes water retention in my legs - the scale immediately goes up 2 or 3 lbs, and I can literally feel the extra water in my thighs. Either way, don't get discouraged. The weight WILL come off if you keep doing what you're doing.

K3LL3Y: Congratulations on the 40 lb milestone, and moving out of the obese category! That must be such an awesome feeling!!

Courtney: TOM is always an issue for me too. Despite what others might say about water retention not being something "real", I know my body and know what my hormones do to it (my 7 lb drop this week is certainly evidence of that - I didn't gain and then lose 7 lbs of fat the past two weeks). Managing any loss though when you're fighting them is awesome, and have fun when that big whoosh comes for you in a few days.

Kendra: I'm glad you got a jump start on the training, and I hope the new schedule this week goes smoothly. Good luck with it!

Cheshire: You're still losing, so you're clearly doing a decent job with your eating. I know scheduling it can be a challenge, but it too can become routine. Good luck with focusing on it this week!

MadamB: We'll be rooting for you to make it to the 140s this week!!

Time for me to jump back in. Pledge for the coming week is 1.5 lbs, which I should be able to do with diet alone if I keep to under 1300 cal/day this week. If I get the ok from the Dr., I'll hopefully be able to add in some exercise as well and post some miles next Sunday.

Thankyou so much everyone for the acknowledgement, i'm forever thankful for finding this site, i've never been surrounded by a group of kinder people, having a hard time not crying this morning, not very manly of me.

I guess the feelings need out somehow, just a part of me i need to accept.

Just listened to one of my favorite youtube vids, always seems to bring about feelings of wonder at life. Oh well i'm gonna get this day started, still have some ways to go yet.

Sending my fondest thoughts out to everyone, take each day as it comes and make it better than the last.

Thanks chickadee! I'll definitely be looking forward to the Woosh Fairy!

I just completed Day 2 of the 30 Day Shred Level 1. Can I just say OW!!!! But you want to know what's so weird? I am less sore AFTER completing it than I was before completing it. Now I am chugging some water and getting ready to go mow my yard.

Speaking of mowing the yard, have you ever tracked how many miles you walk when mowing it? We have a push mower so I am sure I get in a couple of miles or so. I watched a video on YouTube about a guy who tracked how far he walked while mowing his grass. He mowed 3/4 of an acre and walked 2.44 miles. I have 1.7 acres! I don't have a device to track how far I was yet, but based on his calculations and subtracting the part of my land that holds my house and trees (meaning I only mow about 1.25 acres)...I probably walk 4 miles when mowing my yard! That's some good exercise right there!

Hmmm...let me go slather on some sunscreen and get my butt-er out there!

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss this week Especially Reso YAY Onederland

Courtney- I know what you mean about feeling less sore after Day 2 of the 30DS than you were before good encouragment to do it . I found by about Day 5/6 I was having an easier time with it. I am amazed that I can do the jumping jacks now since on Day 1 I managed maybe 8.

I am really dissapointed with my weight loss this week since I didn't make my pledge. I am the same weight today that I was when I peeked on Wed. I was confident on Wed that I was going to make my goal but apparently that didn't happen. Oh well new week and a new pledge and this week will be better.

LMAO@MadamB's "hand pollination" of zucchini! Is that a new definition of a....hand job? Sorry, couldn't help it!!!!!

Rated - I am hoping that trend continues and that by day 5 or 6 that I can handle the jumping jacks without needing to stop for that 5 second break. Jumping jacks are so tough for me for some reason. They always have been.

I've mowed half of my yard. I had to come in for a water break. It's 88 degrees out there right now and not a lot of shade in my front yard where I am currently mowing. As soon as I finish this glass of water, it's back out there for the next round!

celrae - 554 minutes of exercise? DANG!!!! That's 9 hours and 14 minutes! you kickedd my butt-er on time this week! I see what I'm up against now!!!! You go girlfriend! Now...where's Pokey so we can see her time?

RESO!!! You're amazing! Welcome to ONEDERLAND!

The 5K this morning went really well. Thanks to a flat course, I beat my time from my first 5K by over 5 minutes, even with breaks for the puppy to drink, sniff and poo.

I've been negligent in following along with everyone this week. The last week has been killer busy both at work and at home. I did get an awesome whoosh this week though - lost 3.4 lbs bringing me this >< close to not being obese anymore. I also trekked 19 km / 11.8 miles.

I'll do better keeping up with everyone here this week. I'm pledging 1.5 lbs lost and a post per day to check in with the platoon.

On April 18th I started with the 4 Hour Body diet (low carb, mostly veggies and meat) and no exercise. I joined this group and added exercise. I was following the rules of my diet and loosing 2 + pounds a week. Then I started doing more reading and wanted to change to a Paleo diet that included 12 hour fasting. This is a good idea in theory but, I have lacked the discipline that I started out with. It is hard to be so focused for a long period of time. Too much information has weaken my approach.

Regarding my diet there are a few things I need to work on.
- less drinking
- more water on Thur. and Fri.
- tired of my 2 egg breakfast (need new ideas)
- no cheese (I have added a little and it needs to go)
- need a exercise and eating scheduled for the entire week (our family Summer shedual is very busy)
-
So far I don't feel that I am at a giving up point or that I failed. I see a noticeable difference in my body shape. The increased exercise has been good and our family has been eating healthier. I now just need to keep going and not confuse myself too much.

Celrae - new ideas for your 2 eggs, or new breakfast ideas all together? I like adding homemade salsa into my eggwhites.

Peanutt - Nice job on beating your 5K time.

CourtneyDaisy - We have an acre, but I will leave that work out for my son and husband. You are getting a good work out on top of the mileage you are trekking.
