  • SARGE,

    NOT!!!!

ROUND 2 COMPLETE . . . doin' a lot a chattin; SARGE . . . OK, off to weed the garden and plant spinach & carrots

    diyana: ?Te hablas espanol????

OFF TO WORK THE GARDEN AND THEN ROUND 3 . . . OH YEA!!!
  • Quote: @AnonymouslyYours Hi again :-) I just replied to your C25k post. I didn't realize you are here too. Great!! Are you interested in keeping track on eachother's C25k progress? We are in the same week!

Oh and thanks for the congrats! You will get there too!
Hey there! I haven't made it to the other thread yet, but I would absolutely love to keep track of one another's progress! I just finished w6d1, what are you on?! I do it MWF (plus weight training) then Saturday I repeat that week's third workout and don't do any weights. What's your schedule like?
  • MadamButterfly - Si, yo hablo espanol. And my back even knows a couple words, "No Mas". Have fun gardening! I gotta pull weeds and pick some radishes. Can I do that without bending (like my PT says)? Won't be easy, but I'll have to.
  • Wow, we're a pretty smart and inspirational platoon, Sarge!
  • Don't feel old, Sarge.
Quote: Have no fear shellfish---I'll add you to this weeks pledges...you're only on the "new" list for a week, and I only do that so that the rest of the platoon can throw in a welcome or two. Nice job on the loss, btw!!!

jdub--welcome! Are you male or female? Just asking since you mentioned you were gonna marry "the girl of your dreams..." soon. Workout advice for most around here range from Jillian Michaels "shred" dvds, to c25k running programs (couch-to-5K race), and my own personal favorite, this free link...(lots of tough challenges): http://www.youregoingtosweat.com/the_challenge.html

Pokey--Glad you're back...you better get your butt-er burning booty butt to the gym or else you and a few others are going to be facing the disciplinary board! You get some leeway tho because you did workout and we knew you were going to that wedding. This coming weekend is your 5K, right?

Courtney--Sarge is thrilled with all your new found enthusiasm. I really, really hope you keep if up. You'll be so happy and so proud of yourself in the long run, but you're right...one day at a time! One pound at a time!

Josey--Just noticed your siggy...maybe the 50lb mark this weekend!!!!

Me1st--Will power dust on nixxing those "cancer sticks"...you can and WILL do it! BTW, lol on subtracting a bunny...too funny!

Anon--You've "caught up on all the posts..." Wow...you're in a better place than Sarge right now. Our platoon has grown rather quickly. I'm still trying to catch up and try to get to know everyone as best I can.
Feel free to post away...that's what we're here for. The more accountable you feel to the thread, the better you're gonna stay on course.

    BNH--One-derland is calling your name!!!!

Kendra--Good luck in the new job. Please, please keep us in the back of your mind as stories arise during the day. I gotta believe your hours at McD's are going to provide excellent fodder for stories to keep us all on track. Like maybe instead of asking for $'s from customers you can mistakenly tell them the total number of calories they're about to consume.

diyana & others on the "old" kick. You may have missed Sarge's birthday bash and weight loss goal, but Sarge is 55! No more "old" talk... Anyone in the platoon older than 55 or is Sarge the old fart?

Rmc--Yes YOU ARE MORE IMPORTANT than conference calls and cr*p. WTG on scheduling workout time for yourself.

Chesh--We've known all along you were nuts! But it takes one to know one...nuf said.

MadamB -- Sarge done with Round 1. As soon as personals and updating finished here Round 2 begins and you'll be eating my will power dust!

Dumplin -- You said it best yourself, "I am whining which is getting me no where.... I want this bad ! I am sorry..... I did not lose those 2 lbs I pledged. I'm sorry I did not walk those 20 miles I pledged......I want to do this . I think I have just been lazy. I don't have another excuse!" Lean on the strength of others in the platoon...MAKE IT HAPPEN THIS WEEK!

Envelope -- Way to stay the course. Wooshing occurs when you least expect it! If you find yourself on the cusp again, just take some time to read the little hidden gems in the signatures of many in the platoon. Or, simply type in large, bold print, SOMEONE STOP ME BEFORE I EAT AGAIN!

Reso--Congrats again and thank you for posting your photos. I love how your just lit up the board with inspiration!

Peanutt--Way to go on cutting your PR in that 5K...especially with the breaks! Also, I'm thinking you'd make an excellent head of our disciplinary board! You and MadamB in a good cop/bad cop kind of commission. You offer those struggling with a plan to overcome their obstacles and Gooey just breaks out the can of Wup on them.

GET YOUR BUTT-ers TO THE BATTLEFIELD TROOPS! Left, left, left, right left....

I hope this makes you feel better: I am 70! (not kidding.)Jojo
Really, I pretty much never think about it.
  • Yoyo -- Thanks! Now I feel like I'm in good company! We be teaching these youngins' a thing or two!

AwaitingChange--SO SORRY, I missed a welcome to you! There were so many new posts I got to thinking this morning who was that 16 year old who joined us??? I added your name and again WELCOME!!! We never even try to behave ourselves here so jump in and post whenever you feel like it... we are def not typical parent types.

MadamB -- Oh, don't you worry...chatty for a bit, but headed up right now for round 3...I've almost puked today and my calves are cramping up, but you're going down! (and don't even try to beat me to the gutter humor on that...we've got a 16 year old here!)

Peanutt-- To paraphrase Yoda... "Much to learn, we still have"...

I am on W6 too! I do STT (lol, that looks odd!) ... Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. I do weights or pilates on the other days. Saturday is my rest day so no workouts at all.
    So tomorrow I do my W6D2. :-)
  • Omg sarge- I totally lol'ed about telling customers how many cals they're consuming vs their total I'm trying really hard not to judge people for their eating habits, but instead focus that energy on NOT eating the food

BUT... I work at one of the little ones in a walmart... Right at the entrance. Have you ever been to peopleofwalmart.com?! Yeah... Working late nights is definitely going to be interesting!!!!!! my first night shift is tomorrow; I'll be working 7p-3a. Looks like I'll be getting the "first to post" award daily

Cool! Are you going to tell us some first hand People of Walmart stories?

(PS: Your tag... uhh URL is sticking out on your siggy)

    I can hear it!

No worries! Thanks for the welcome Sarge

First day went well...ate at Subway for lunch, came home and sweated my arse off mowing the lawn...with an old mower that needs constant starting, it's harder than it looks!! My main problem is junk food...if I cut that out, I slim down. If I go the vegetarian route, which I've done in the past, I lose even more. Still considering that option.

    Go platoon!!
  • AwaitingChange - I'll throw down a challenge to you if you're up for it!??!!

We're about the same weight and are within 10 pounds of each other's goal weight. I'll "race" you each week to see who loses more. I was doing this with another member until she punked out - so are you game?!
  • Why must the ice cream truck drive by my office window so sloooooowly every afternoon, just when I'm thinking "Snack!"???

But, I will remain strong and reach for the lovely, juicy peach on my desk.
  • Hey Rmc -- Snalla your glassen!

  • Thanks Sarge!

Truth be told, there really isn't anything I like on that skanky truck. It's the idea of it, 'ya know? I think I'm discovering some real psychological problems as I lose weight!
