You know me JayTee, it's so hard to keep up the veneer at all times ( this is literally years for me, it gets gruelling at times to be honest ), when i'm having difficulty i tend to focus all my energies towards my goal, i'm still staying focused, doing my walks every evening riding my bike to work, trying to keep cals low, eating clean, etc..

I'm glad there are a bunch of new peeps to keep things busy and exciting, hope they can stay the course. Still keeping tabs on everyone, will eventually/hopefully be more active sooner than later, trying for onederland has got all my attention, yet it's proving to be stubborn.

Reso I'm rooting for you and getting into onederland! It WILL happen. I love that you are so committed to staying on track! The reso onderland party will happen soooooon!!!

Rated- thank you!!

I'm attempting to try and stay up later to prep myself for working overnights. I'm already ready for bed so I don't see myself lasting much longer. I think I'm going to just have to tough it out at first and let my body adjust to working weird hours. Sugar free red bull is going to be my new best friend!

Morning everyone!

Another rainy day here. Enough already; I want to see the sun!

Talk about positive reinforcement - yesterday's 2-a-day resulted in a nice little drop in the scale this morning. Actually, with all of your inspiration, I've really recommitted to my exercise routine -more mileage, more movement, more effort. And, going by my mid-week peek at the scale, it's working. Down 3.2 this week, which is .2 away from the 25 lb mark.

How's this for pathetic? I have never had a manicure or pedicure in my entire life (which is a long time!). So, after today's workout - and a shower - my daughter and I are headed out for a little pampering as a bit of a reward for my hard work. Obviously, it's not normally something I'm into. But, I'm trying to extend this new "taking care of myself" attitude beyond eating well and exercising. Has anyone else set up any rewards for themselves, in addition to successfully graduating from boot camp?

Have a great day everyone!

GOOD MORNING PLATOON!!!!

It's Friday!!!!

Last night we ended up going out for dinner to a Mexican restaurant. Mexican food is my downfall. I perused the menu for a solid half hour before deciding on something called Neto's Taco Salad, which seemed to be a healthier choice tham the combination plates. It was grilled chicken, shrimp, and steak on lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and refried beans. I did NOT eat the taco shell! I loved it and am plotting how to remake it at home on Saturday night with fat free beans and fat free sour cream!

Afterwards we went to Wal-Mart to get a little shopping done and walked around the store in a big circle for a solid hour to help burn off dinner! We didn't go as fast as we do on the treadmill so I think we only walked two miles. Still, it was exercise!

Today is Day 5 of being 100% Cheat Free! No candy, no sodas, no sweets now all week!!!!! For me that is a really big accomplishment! I plan to keep this up! I don't even want sweets right now! That surprises me but I'm glad for that!

The office gym and I have an appointment at noon today. My knee is feeling much better and I am itching to get my butt-er back on the treadmill! And yes, my arms ache a tiny bit after the strength training on the weight machines. I need to do more!

They have strawberries in the break room this morning! Yum! And tonight for dinner I am going to do something light and then go burn more butt-er at home too! You know, last night at Wal-Mart I looked for this 30 Day Shred that I keep hearing about but it was sold out. Can someone who is doing this tell me more about it? I can imagine it's more intense than the Walk Away The Pounds DVD I have. Fill me in! I may have to go buy it and do that too!

Thanks for the helpful words about the sabotaging hubby. He just doesn't see how much I want this to be a success right now. He will though!!!!

Have a productive, healthy day Platoon! See you soon!!!!

I just love you Ladies and Gent. Every time I come on here to catch up everyone is so positive and encouraging. I don't always have time to post but just reading the conversations and updates gives me a bit of a motivational boost every morning

Reso- We're all rooting for you. They always say the last few pounds hold on tight. Stick with your amazing routine and you'll get there.

Kuri-

rmc- Way to go on the second round at the gym! I've heard some great things about those Zumba classes

Seems like a pretty good week, I think everyone is going to have an awesome weigh in on Sunday. I'd love to finally hit that 40lb mark. I noticed that my belt has gone down another hole this week, so another inch off the waist

Everyone get in those last minute workouts today and tomorrow!

K3--Agree, this is the place to be to catch a quick laugh and reason to head to the gym first thing in the morning. Look at you headed into the 180's!!!

Courtney-- 5 days Cheat Free!!!! YAY!!!! Jillian would be so proud!

RMC-- Celebrating 25 lost!!! Enjoy that pampering and time with your daughter!

Kris -- Nice to see you sticking with it!

Kendra -- the photos are awesome!!! You've got a lot of followers and you probably have no idea how many people you helped stay on the wagon just by posting your before and afters! Good luck at McD's. With your dedication you'll probably be running a region in no time.

Rated and all the other "side challengers" -- I can't wait to see who wins round 1 this week on the scale!

Reso-- Wish there was something we could do to make your world a sunny, happy place all the time. I have a feeling that something radical is gonna change in your life soon.

Enough chat for Sarge...gotta get a workout in before long drive today.

LAST CHANCE WORKOUTS START NOW!!!!

If you report a gain on Sunday, bend over ...

LAST CHANCE WORKOUTS
START
NOW!!

Kendrab: LOVE THE PICS . . . YOU KEEP ME GOING !!!

Courtney: 30 DS is INTENSE, as are all of Jillian's DVD's. It basically consists of a 5 min warm-up, then 3 sets of: 3 min strength, 2 min cardio & 1 min abs, (each set are different exercises)then a 4-5 min cool down, In the first set she does push-ups, if you can't do them, do girly ones or do push-ups agains the wall. She really doesn't stop, (once or twice for like 5 seconds) BUT I really like it if I'm in a time crunch, just under 25 min from start to finish and BELIEVE ME SHE WORKS YOUR BUTT-ER!!! There are 3 different levels, each harder than the previous . . . it's tough, BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!

RMC: I love ZUMBA too!!!

SARGE: Have a safe trip, see you on the flip side . . . LOLOLOL

OK, I'm off to do C25K and then a bike ride . . . I need to add some trekking miles for the week . . .

Pokey, You're awful quiet . . . Fall in the pool again???? . . . LOLOLOL Oh I love your adventures

Reso: It seems last time you were trying TOO HARD, the scale wouldn't move, then when you backed off a little the weight started dropping off . . . Do you need to back it up a bit??? Just a thought

BURN BUCKETS-O-BUTT-ER!!!

Hi everyone -

I had an hour long physical therapy session yesterday. The PT had me warm up on the bike for 5 minutes, then he did about 5 minutes of stretching me out....then it was on the gruelling workout. Pushups, lunges, squats on the bosu, planks, bridges (on the exercise ball), hamstring curls on the exercise ball, oblique work...and after all the circuit training, which was quite cardio too. He had me do 10 min. on the treadmill. An hour of butt-er melting cardio and strength training!

I know it doesn't compare to the 2 a days or 3 a days the rest of the platoon is doing...but I'm working out as much as I can within the limits set by my physical therapist and most importantly, my rehabbing back.

I KNOW I can do this! I know I can get stronger and lose weight. And that's what I intend to do.

YAY FOR LAST CHANCE WORKOUTS!!

diyana: sounds like a good workout to me!!! You have to take care of the injury and work within your limit!!! Otherwise you will just set yourself back farther in your rehab efforts . . . NOBODY wants that . . . are you allowed to walk when you're on your own???? Maybe you could walk in the evenings or days you don't go to PT . . . check with them and see. Our very own Reso has walked off almost 200 lbs and I believe it was all or almost all walking . . . Is that right Reso or do I have your story wrong . . . either way he is a WALKING MACHINE!!!

Reporting for duty, sir!

No weight dif today and thats better than a gain so guess I'll take it.
Today is my carb load day acording to the life style plan, it allways makes me nervious and yet VERY excited. Eat everything and as much what I want, so scarey lol. so expect a gain tomorrow followed by a loss by Sunday.
I did however do 2miles on the treadmill ... my fiance (Mr Army /corrections officer/ fitness buff) was on one next to me ~ I felt like such a lard next to him ugg, but was motovational cuz it reminded me to step up my game.

Madam butterfly ... lol thanks, 10lbs in 21days is def hoppin good news
diyanna ... awsome job trucking threw the PT! slow and steady baby slow an steady
Reso... I agree with K3ll3y and You will shake um off, those last pounds have been with us the longest and are hard to purge. Kinda like a clingy X thats gone all stalker like, they just refuse to leave lol
Kendra... AWSOME b4 and after pix! great motovation for us to see that there is an out come to all the *ss busting workouts and picky eating! Thanks.

A bunny for evey 5lbs lost for good

Good afternoon everyone!!!!

I did get up on the office treadmill during lunch break. Got in 30 minutes and 1.55 miles (speed of 3.2). You know what that means? I DID !) MILES THIS WEEK SO FAR!!!!! I finally met my 10 mile weekly goal!!!! So...next week that means I need to up that a bit!

I am going to do my darndest to clear out all of the items left to do in my e-mail before the end of the day. If I can get that all done, I will be able to go back up to the treadmill and walk until my mom gets here to drive me home! Everyone send me the "Git-R-Done" vibes!!!!!

Pokey and Celrae - Where are y'all on the workout time challenge? How far behind am I? Prepare to be blown away cause I'm going to catch y'all this weekend!!!!

Jeanettey - Where are ya chica? Miss you!

Me1st - Well done on your 2 miles!!!!

Rmc - I completely agree with the new "taking care of myself" attitude is more than just eating well and exercising. I haven't set up any rewards but I got a new hair cut I am making more of an effort to do my hair more often (usually I went for a ponytail/bun) and make up.

Courtney - If you see the 30 Day Shed buy it! I think mine was only $10 and it is a good workout. I tend to concentrate more on cardio because I find weights intimidating and I like this video because it has a bit of both. I have done it probably 12 times on level 1 and I can already see a different in my arm muscles. It is also nice since you don't need a lot of equipment- just some hand weights and a mat

I've been having a good week when I peeked at the scale on Wed I was already down so Sunday should be a good weigh in. I didn't get any exercise in yesterday and I really should have. I had all day to do it because I didn't work but I just kept putting it off thinking that I have lots of time and will do it later. Later never came but I am back on track for today.
