me1st- NASHUA?! I'm from the Manchester/Goffstown area!! I moved down to FL almost two years ago Anyway... I like your schedule for getting things done! I think the first few days are going to be the hardest for me but I'll eventually get a groove. I'm just glad I was able to make it this far without that additional stress and I guess I didn't realize how much easier I had it than some!
kneed2lose- NYC!!! that's where i'm from! if you want to get some exercise in, i would definitely walk across the brooklyn bridge. it's absolutely beautiful, and its a nice walk. you can also walk to the brooklyn heights promenade, right off the bridge, which provides scenic view of the manhattan skyline and its a cute neighborhood with cafes, bookstores, and cute shops. also, if you want to go out at night, i recommend the west 4th area- lots of bars, good nightlife, without the pretense. i use yelp.com a lot, so that might be a good place to see what bars/entertainment you want to see. also- take the subway- cheapest way to get around! hopstop.com will help you get from point a to point b. just be mindful of weekend subway re-routes, which can be a pain in the butt, but usually ok. have a GREAT time!
today has started off well! slept a little longer than i wanted to, but that's alright. weighed myself in this morning, and it looks like i've dropped some water weight, which is encouraging. going to take a long walk with my friend and her dog, and then yoga later. trying to melt that BUTT-ER
RMC-become athletic", rather than "weigh 130 lbs". But, even when I lose all this weight, I'll still be pretty uncoordinated, so I don't think there's much hope of that.
This is currently my goal. It hard to wrap my head around how a athletic person looks or acts. I don't have any good examples or even know what that means to me.
peanutt- what I was going to say earlier today is that you have been an inspiration to me. Lots of good information and I appreciate the contribution.
Kendra- Schedualing your workouts is the right idea. I am not very good at that. Congrats on your loss and new job. You have to take care of yourself and your family, it is hard to both.
Lots of exercise today the CrossFit class was canceled so I di tired some work on my own. Then I met a friend for tennis during my midday break. Very tired right now and I need to clean my own house. Off I go.
Kendra - I worked at McDonalds when I was in high school and again after I got out of the Navy. The managers I had in high school were horrible and the job sucked! But the store I worked at after my Navy days was so much fun! There was a great crew and the managers created a lot of fun competitions. So, you never know... just like any job, it really depends on who's the boss! But yeah... there is nothing you can do about that greasy smell that you will come home with every time you work...
Been getting some great workouts this week, but won't have time today. But, that is ok because we are moving at work (plus it was my last day) so there were tons of boxes and equipment to move. I was sweating my buns off all day! I was so busy that I forgot to eat lunch (and that NEVER happens!) I run (ran) this one person IT department, so had to move lots of monitors, computers, server racks... all kinds of heavy weird stuff. I have mixed feelings about leaving after 11 years, but it really is time for me to move on. That is the reason I went back to school... so I could move on to bigger and better things!
We leave for vacation tomorrow and I haven't even started packing yet! I really want a Pomegranate martini tonight, but will resist the urge and use those calories for something healthier. I better start packing! I will probably not be on the boards for a couple of days, but will post my stats on Sunday.
Between the extra jogging I am doing and all the walking taking place at Kids Camp, I am exhausted. The heat has surpressed my appetite, which is not really a negative...I think I need to increase my water though.
Datagirl - think of the additional calories you will burn as you speed pack tonight. :0)
And for the sheer heck of it, here's my Dad's pic! He honestly does look like Jonathan Frakes to me! The pics I have of him in his younger days look JUST LIKE Jonathan Frakes in his first season of TNG!

Guess what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I hit my goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 135.1 this morning! Sure, I'm .1 away, but I'm sure after all the jumping, running to my bedroom to freak out and tell my hubby, dancing around, and then getting in a bad@ss exercise, that that .1 is gone forever!
I just cannot believe this. 215 pounds on July 15th and I have lost 80 pounds and my baby girl isn't even a year yet. I really never thought this was going to happen and it almost didn't! In March I had given up.In April my friend got me back in the mindset I needed to be in but it was when I joined this group that I really started busting my butt! A huge thank you to everyone here who has helped me through all of my mess ups and emotions and kept me on track. It means more to me than you'll ever know
I need to get ready for my orientation. I'm in such a good mood that I could give a crap less that I'm not a McDonalds employee. Nothing is knocking me down this morning!!!!
KendraB - What an AWESOME way to start your day! You did it!!!
I am getting the family ready to get headed out the door. It was a rest day for me and I feel lazy. So glad I will be getting lots of movement today at Camp.
