Me1st - TOM stands for "Time Of Month." You know...your period. Aunt Flo. Playing for Man U. On the rag. Red wings. Cousin Red.

Jeanetty- WooooHoooo on your 3 lbs loss!!!

MadamB- Yesterdays C25K was not a fail for you. If you gave up, and did not redo week 7, that would be a fail. Yesterday I was supposed to do a 2 miles jog, and my legs cramped up and I only got 1 mile jogging in. Today I woke up, went out, and was able to do a little over 3.

I really do not like sodium. Thurs night I had 1.5 pieces of square pizza and not only did my weight go up, but I think it is why I ended up with my legs cramping up. No more pizza nights before jogging for me.

Good morning Everyone,

I got up early and walked to Walmart and bought JM's Yoga Meltdown, walked home and did it . . . I really didn't expect to sweat very much, now it was by no means equal to 30 DS sweating but definitely more than I expected

Me1st . . . Go get it . . . I think it's going to be GOOD for me, strength, toning and stretching (which I don't do enough of). Plus I feel more . . . ummmm . . . what's the right word . . . CALM . . . I am so ADHD, I can't hold still for anything, so that will BE REALLY GOOD for me. I could do all the moves but was very shaky on the T-rolls and Warrior 2 . . . but I did it, just not well . . . I think I may start each morning with this and then do my regular workout or do my workout and finish with this . . .

Reso: do you need to start posting pics of supper again (and make me EVERY NIGHT). I've been meaning to ask you: Do you ever weigh in the AM?? AND is your AM weigh-in less than in the evening?? I know you usually use evening weigh-ins and wondered if your body works differently ('cause you're a boy). OK maybe too personal

Courtney: Have fun with 30 DS . . . Oh you'll MELT YOUR BUTT-ER!!! LOLOLOL

Jojoyoyo: I'm going to check out that lose that last inch . . . I tend to hold onto my tummy

RMC: logging in 12 miles of trekking . . .

Cheshire: Do you need a ???? When is your next race??

Peanut: you're VERY QUIET . . . MELTIN' BUTT-ER????

SARGE: Home safe & sound???

OK, off to figure out what I want to do to MELT SOME MORE BUTT-ER, Last chance workouts today, weigh-in tomorrow!!!

OK, the above post I wrote early this AM and forgot to submit . . .

CAN YOU SAY "SENIOR MOMENT" DUH!!!

Envelope: Thanks, I know it wasn't an all out fail, but my body JUST SAID "NO" LOLOLOL

ME1st . . . Asking about black toes, toenails falling off . . . Ummmm, I'll behave I do know that there are people that get black toenails and some of them fall off. Personally I have NOT experienced that, at least not yet. Although I do know it happens. I keep my toenails cut fairly short, I think I read somewhere that will help . . . Of course the only running I've done is C25K and I'm only on Week 7, maybe some of the other runners can chime in

OK, I need to get ready for work, spagetti squash with sauce, green beans, salad with lots of goodies, yogurt, a mango, a banana, string cheese and cottage cheese with pineapple . . . NO I am not going to eat it ALL, I just never know what I want for my snacks so I bring a variety to choose from

WEIGH-IN TOMORROW

DRINK YOUR WATER

EAT YOUR VEGGIES

AND CROSS YOUR FINGERS

for Behave:
I have been seeing mention of "black toes and toenails" for a while. Ok, this is what I learned as a ski instructor:

Black Toe is the result of your feet slipping forward in your boots (shoes.) They then bang against the toe of the shoe. Your feet slip forward, if your shoes either don't fit right or are not laced correctly. Here is what to do: Put your foot into the shoe and push the edge or the heel down on the floor (your toes will point up toward the ceiling.) Your heel will be all the way at the back of the shoe. Then lace or velcro the shoe firmly at the instep. This holds the foot from slipping forward.

Cures for Black Toe? I haven't heard of any. You just have to live thru having a black toe or losing the nail. But, if you lace the shoe well, it shouldn't happen again. Take your vitamins and your body will get well faster.

Yipes! Long message. Hope it helps.

The funkiness of the design grabs my attention but the cost ($100.00+/- pair) kind of makes me vomit a lill bit.
Im new to the treadmill and running and have heard of people getting black toe nails/blisters/planters warts/falling off toe nails from running (well that doesn’t sound pretty at al lol) and Im keen on the idea of NOT experiencing these things lol. So I have heard that these 5finger shoes thingies can help ect... Let me know if you have tried them or know of someone that recommends or discourages purchasing a pair. Thanks.

Madam butterfly ... Your on chicka Im grabbing it today (Wal-Mart $8.00) and fully prepared to make a fool of myself while attempting these ridiculously diff poses ANYONE else up for a try as well?

CourtneyDaisey ... What is TOM?
I also make homemade salsa's, so easy, healthy, sugar free and damn tasty. I got the NINGA blender thingy specifically for it cuz I make so much...takes 4min lol

jojotheyoyo ..."Meanwhile I am really enjoying the Trek and my 5 miles a day...rain or shine!" ... now THATS commitment baby!

Jeanettey ... down 3! sweet
I agree. The Finger Shoes are mighty strange looking. I know a lot of folks who wear them. Everybody loves them! Even my crankiest friend cannot find a fault. There are "finger sox" for the shoes, but I hear you don't need them. All the guys I know wear them on bare feet.
I have seen them worn kayaking, car washing, walking, running and just hanging out around the house. They seem to be totally washable and can dry outside in the sun.
I asked about chafed toes. Nobody has had irritated toes....
I want some. Pricey, but fun! Supposedly very helpful with balance.

MadamB - I just did Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred. HOLY SH*T!!!! Yep, that's definitely gonna burn some butt-er!!!!! I'm whipped! Far more whipped than when I do the Walk Away The Pounds DVD's! You know, near the end I couldn't help but picture the image that Sarge posts of Jillian standing on thighs! That got me through when I was ready to fall out in the floor at the end! My arms are shaking a little. Hmmm....I wonder if tomorrow it will be a tiny bit easier...or harder!

Hope everyone's Last chance workouts are doing well! Burn that butt-er, drop those pounds!

Kendra - CONGRATULATIONS on meeting your goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fanfreakingtastic, I'm so thrilled for you!!! All of your hard work and dedication has paid off - enjoy every single moment of your celebration.

Flight problems and weather meant I never made it to my conference this week (though I spent some quality time in the airport in Newark), but I stuck to my calorie limits despite the 30 hours of pointless travel and so that felt like a success. The scale is also finally moving down from the scary-high numbers I saw early in the week (a full 7 lbs higher than I am today), and I'm back down to within half a pound of where I was when I found out about the pregnancy, so hopefully that means my body is beginning to head back toward normal. I am still dealing with more pain than I think I should be more than a week after the procedure, but I see the doctor on Tuesday and will get checked out then. I am really REALLY hoping he'll tell me that I can get back to exercising, as not being able to do any is really getting me down.

Hope everyone is doing well, and I'll be back tomorrow to make a pledge for the coming week.

MadamB : There is no logical reason why i weigh-in in the evening, just what i'm used to, i might have weighed myself once or twice in the morning, not enough to differentiate and or conclude any differing trends. Pretty sure we are more alike than different.

Let's see tonight has been rather anti-climactic, i helped my brother till 7 o'clock on his garage, came home and walked my 6.2 miles, proceded to weigh myself and low and behold i now weigh 199 pounds, i am kind of stunned right now to tell you the truth, i really am having a hard time believing it.

I guess i should post my numbers for this week.

Lost 3/3
Pledge 2 ( Not my usual 3, it's getting harder and harder to drop, sheesh)
Miles this week 68.4 ( First time i tallied it this week, wow i'm slacking.)

I kind of thought there would be more come this milestone, don't know if it's my mood or what... LOL, oh well i have surpassed my original goal so long ago, now to hit my revised goal and then i will look at a new goal, perhaps 185.
