nella - congrats on the inches lost! Sorry the sports bra thing is so frustrating - I've had good luck with some of the products from title nine - have you already checked those out? Your avocado post cracked me up!

tummy - can't wait to be in red! Do you ever take your little one out in a stroller when you go running or is it not realistic where you are?

taurie - such a bummer about the allergies - hope you're doing okay.

ms p - how weird about the scale movements. Could you be retaining water from workouts or something?

eclipse - impressive restraint when faced with so many temptations - your willpower rocks!

Wow, this is a fast moving thread - lots to keep up with!

MsP: I know that feeling of frustration. It must be maddening for you to be so close and have to deal with that. i just feel like I'm whining when I complain because I'm barely getting started and just need to develop some patience!

dancerindenver: You asked way back when what plan I'm on or what I've done to get past a plateau, and it's the PD! plan (Perseverance, Dammit!). I count calories, eat more salads--everything goes on top of a salad, rather than bread, pasta or rice. I still eat those things, just a lot less of them. I should start paying more attention to exactly how much of what I eat, but I don't ever eat fast food or processed food, so I don't really worry about it. I use an online tracker to track calories and it tells me if I'm within range of carbs, protein and fats--within what range, I don't really know. lol

Taurie: Congrats on the pound, and bummer about the allergies! At least with a cold, you know it goes away and it won't necessarily come back next year. The local honey trick should help a bit though. Good luck with the Amsterdam visit. Be sure to stay away from those funny cigarettes that give you the munchies.

LE: hiking and horseback riding sound so great--outdoor activities! wahoo! I am so ready for the warm weather again. I think it invigorates the soul and helps the motivation. Back to Monday, and back on plan. Um, I don't really have a plan, besides staying within my 1200 calories and exercising, so does that count? What I wouldn't give for 2200 calories. I exercise so that I can eat more than 1200 calories. One night I came home and exercised because I was starving and had only 300 calories left--now that is motivation!

eclipse: I had one of those temptation events a month or so ago. It's enough to make you crazy because most of what was there is sweets and fattening food. But sticking with the good-for-you stuff feels so good afterwards (like when you're banging your head against the wall, it feels so good when you stop...). Congrats on the willpower. Remember when you couldn't help yourself? I remember thinking, "There's no way," and now I know.

HelloMeAgain: good job on the killer loss! And on the willpower, woot woot!

SG: good to see you back! Glad you had a good visit with your friend and were able to maintain, and even lose. Three cheers for you!

I'm down to 192.2 today. I thought my body was going to have a torrid affair with 193, like it did with 196, but it was just a short-term rebound affair, and didn't stick, thank goodness. I went Saturday for a marathon massage and Pranic healing (energy work) with my sister who is licensed in all that. The last time she did the pranic, I lost 3 pounds overnight. So I had high hopes this time, and instead gained .8lb. But it was back off and then some today, so things are progressing like they are supposed to. I ate popcorn last night (on plan), and think it might be the best food in the world.

Taurie - I LOVE your new avatar. That is so stinkin cute!!!

Louisa - Wahoo!! Sometimes our bodies just find that little niche and get stuck for a while.

Dancin - I have not checked those out, I will though! Glad I could give you a laugh!

Ugh. Allergies. Nuff said. Hopefully I can breathe enough to run tonight.

mystical - woohoo for POP! The weather makes such a big difference in attitude, doesn't it? It was gorgeous and sunny here this weekend and it was like come out of hibernation

nella - title 9 ranks their sports bras with barbells - the more barbells, the more support. Not cheap but a good investment. Good luck with breathing today!

louisa - thanks for filling me in on your plan - so glad you've got something that is working well for you. Popcorn is seriously the world's most delicious food - couldn't live without it. Do you do air popped?

Food is fine so far today but no exercise yet. Will work on that later...

Default hello...

thank you fro the support about the lasagna... I'm doing damage control now and probably tomorrow for it. Either way, yeah I spoke to my bf about changing the recipe but he is very specific that he's not ruining HIS recipe, he even had a bird about me buying one of the rolls of the regular sausage over his spiced jimmy dean, only one! The others were the kind he wanted...was trying to save some cash ...eh .... although making this recipe he realized how much is in the darn thing! 1 pan of it has over 10,000 calories in it!! it doles out between 700-1000 cals a square depending on how much filling you do in each layer!!!! So, for me....and lots of and hopefully I can come close to goal or get it! I might just if I can't fix it!!

Hi Everyone. So our neighborhood has started a diet club. We originally planned on having WW come and hold a neighborhood meeting but with the economy not everyone wanted to fork out the money for that. So we are going to meet weekly and put whatever money we can/want to in an envelope with our names and then as we reach goals we get to use our money on something for us as a reward. I decided to put in $1 for each day that I am POP and then at the end of each month, if I make goal I will use it. If I don't make goal I will roll the money over to the next month so the pot will be bigger and more incentive to reach my goal. I am excited to start this and love having the weekly accountability with my neighborhood friends.

Exercise is still a struggle for me with my achilles tendon issues but I am going to have to figure out a way to bump up my exercise as the pain is something that I will deal with the rest of my life.

Thanks to everyone for all the positive support Another day... eating is going great. I have my salsa chicken in the fridge so meals are easier than normal. Trying to keep plenty of veggies & healthy protein ready to use, I'm finding it really helps. Exercise...mmmm... really need to hop on the treadmill, earlier in the day would have been better but late than not at all, right?

Keep up the hard work everyone! Way to go!

dancerindenver: no air-popped popcorn for me (I think it's an abomination--sorry, but it had to be said)! I like my popcorn cooked in oil in a pot on the stove. Good old-fashioned, delicious popcorn with plenty of salt. Goodness knows I drink enough water to flush the salt out. Mmmm. It's worth saving up calories for it, in my opinion. I'll be checkin' out those title nine bras too!

mystical: Hope those headaches go away. I get bad headaches often, and must say they have been rare since I started drinking 96+ ounces of water per day.

nellonello: that's great to have a support group in the neighborhood. Any ideas on your goal rewards? I think I might have to start planning for that. I just did Tae Bo today, and you can really get some good cardio in with punches, even while keeping the feet stationary. So there are some options that might work for you, but it still sucks that you have that pain to deal with.

NightAngel: it sounds like Mr. Supportive BF can make his own lasagna, and you can make yours! Sometimes sharing is only cute in kindergarten. good luck with that!

HelloMeAgain: having the right food on hand is the only way to keep it up. I exercised this afternoon, instead of my usual morning--I find it much harder to get motivated, so I'm proud of myself. Did you do it?

Have a good night everyone!

Hey all! Thanks for the encouragement and thoughtful words!! I love you girls! Now, I've been like SUPER on plan today and it looks like the scale is going to cooperate in the morning. Yeah, it's been a weird couple days weight-wise, but them's the brakes sometimes, right? I am going to make the 7 OP days goal I set with Tummy. I need to let myself know I CAN do it and get back to goal. I'm feeling good about my food today and what I have planned for the next week. I will track and see how each day impacts me and take note of what cal range is working. I think the real eye opener was seeing how I was at 130 about 2 months ago and I'm still in the 130's..not even the low end, but right in the middle! I'm glad I wrote it down so I can see how my eating has gone downhill since I moved into my house. I thought it would be so much easier once we were in, but I've been way too careless. March has truly been so much better and I can feel good about that. Sorry about the novel, just reflecting.

Taurie- I agree with the honey suggestion. DH has seasonal allergies, but hates honey, so that's not something he'll try, but I've heard good things from others (including my mom who's a registered nurse). Now he's made an appt with a allergist for next month finally after years of struggling with it. I hope they figure out something!

mystical-So sorry to hear about the headaches. That is rough! I also rarely get them as long as I get PLENTY of water, but aside from that I'm no help! Get some rest and feel better soon.

LouisaH-Yay on the progress!!

Nella-Your allergies are acting up too? Man, must be that time of year. Feel better!

NightAngel-Some people are very resistant to changing recipes, but I agree with LouisaH about making your own. You can really lighten up something like that without negatively effecting the taste.

nellonello-WTG getting that club started! That is SO awesome to involve neighbors...not really an option here in the boonies, but I'm so excited to hear how it works out for you and your group!

HelloMe-So did ya get on the treadmill? It's never too late or too early. Whenever it fits in your schedule!

LouisaH & Ms Perception~
Thanks for holding me accountable!

I sat down here a bit after 8, littles in bed, 13 yr old in the shower and started to read email... and no…. I didn’t get on the treadmill yet. I got caught up in homework, etc, etc.

SO, I stood back up and nailed out my treadmill mileage! Thank you, thank you!!! You guys ROCK!!! I feel great!

Good night everyone.

Default hello...

Good morning everyone! Yeah, in the future I probably shouldn't eat that lasagna, I'm just not sure if my willpower is at the point yet where I can look at it and say no but it is gone now, and he makes it rarely...

I have my TOM coming soon, and I think it might mess up my St.Patty's day challenge if I haven't already... grrr... but we will see.

My friend came yesterday to exersize and is coming today... with extra equipment!! She brought a thigh type machine...very interesting I feel the burn... and then another friend of ours told her to take the one she's got...that I guess it's not the same thing. Boy, when people figure you got room you get all kinds of neat things! I cram my equipment in here but hey, we can still get around.

If anyone's wondering about a piece of equipment and it's aspects, I have quite a few... not anywhere near what's out there, but then... why would I need 5 diff ab machines?!?

NightAngel - I hope your BF can be more supportive of your diet changes. It's ok to splurge every once in a while though. What's the fun in eating if you can't eat something sinfully delicious occasionally? And keep up the exercise!! When I work out I see much more difference.

HelloMe - You go girl!!! You did the hardest part - getting up! Good on you!

Ms. P - You can do it!! These past few months have been rough all around for a lot of us I think. I'm so ready to be moving on from them. Good for you for being POP!!!

Nello - Your group sounds great! I wish I lived in a neighborhood to do something like that.

Dancin - Did you get that workout in? I hope so!

Mystical - Hope that headache went away. And YAY for spring!!!

So, I'm still trying to get my eating under control. It hasn't been horrible (around 1800 cals) but it's certainly not at a level that I lose at. I'd say 1800-2000 is maintenance for me. Today I'm hoping to shock my system and get it back into fat burning mode. I know, I know, I said last week I wasn't going to worry about calories for a while. BUT, when I don't, I find myself being a little snackier than I should be. Like, "Oh I'll eat that pudding cup because calories don't matter." next thing you know, I've eaten a pudding cup, some cheese, a banana, another pudding cup, and a handful of cereal. While none of those things are unhealthy per say, I just eat too much when I'm not meticulous. I love food. Always have, always will. And if I'm eating, I'm not drinking my water. So double bad.

But on the good side, I have stayed consistent with my exercise. I couldn't run near as much as I wanted last night, but these darn allergies are making it difficult to breathe. I also did some weights and abs work. I'm so looking forward to the time change this weekend. I miss having time to work out in my garden in the evenings and work out.

Anyway, have a great one ladies!!!!

Hello ladies! Sorry for being MIA, just busy. I went wacko with weekend eating and I'm back on track, not sure if it was TOM or what, but I've got my head back on straight now.

Like I said, super busy--been looking into homeschooling the kids (Mom, don't freak out--I'm not going crazy...well...maybe I am ), lots of reasons behind it. But anyway, between that and trying to get myself into a good routine for housework, etc. I've been a bit busy.

I'll try to catch up on everyone's posts tonight if I have time. Until then, I hope everyone is doing well and I miss you all!!!
