Default well...

No change today, can't change every day right?

we're still working out today...it is easier having someone come to my house to work out because then I feel like I'm lagging and not holding up my end if I don't exercise. Yesterday she started before me and I felt like I should be doing it too and joined in.

We do get a good burn from the equipment I have. I'd still love to go swimming often.

Morning ladies! Hope everyone has a great day today!!
Another good day yesterday, drank all of my water, ate OP--exercise is still not there though...it'll come though. Right now I'm just trying to make it through TOM and get some dang sleep! The girls--they're gunna kill me! When will they sleep through the night?!?! For the love of Peter, Paul and Mary--they're 3 1/2!!!!!!

Ugh...

Anyway, down a bit more today so weight loss is going well. I can't wait to start losing actual fat though! Water weight is great for the morale though!

Okay ladies, have a wonderful day and be good to yourselves!!

TGIF!!!!

Good Morning everyone!
Nothing huge to report here, I am trying to gear up for a weekend of fun without going off plan. I have a hike planned, and some horseback riding, so The exercise part should be ok. I hope everyone has a temptation free, exercise-rich, water-filled weekend!

Morning Ladies!

LE - LOL, I know it's kinda crazy to go on vaca and not want to lose weight, other people I'm going with are trying to drop about 10 lbs (the bride ) it's just nice to take it easy, the hard work is already done. And your time will come my dear

LaurenA - Isn't that the truth, I think I'm low in the Vitamin D department. And I'm kind of a bit jealous of my own self right now, lol.

MsP - Good vibes on overcoming those munchies, they are something terrible. I'm doing the afternoon thing too, the weather's gorgeous and it's so nice to be outside again. LMAO, you smuggle two litres too! I always like having a little refreshment down the pants too, it's soo frustrating.

JackiG - and good luck to you too!

Jellofer - lol checking out your muscles eh? That's what they call it these days. And yes, the balancing is interesting but so far so good, the trip has given my an extra kick in the pants to study like a crazy person.

Nella - Well, there was a seat sale and if we pretend your under 8 years old it's cheaper. Heck and you're a lot shorter of a flight to cancun than we are, I bet that won't even be bad.

NightAngel - Oh a workout buddy, that would be awesome. And what great motivation to dust off the old treadmill. Hope you had fun!

Dixiemae - Welcome back hun and glad you're feeling better, seize that feeling and I look forward to seeing you more.

Kathrynk - Welcome to you too!

Mystical - Ouch, that's a long drive but how nice to have that sorted out. We'll both be flying out on the same day too. Good job on the eating and water.

ZooChick - hope you feel better and congrats on the weight too. I'd imagine that if you don't feel well that job would be super hard and rather dangerous, good for you taking time for yourself.

FGG - Mine cravings/eat everything in the house was about there too. It helps when you know it's coming, sometimes anyway, so you can plan around it but it's hard. And how fantastic that it's regulating though, marvelous!

Bigmomma - Welcome back!! And you can totally do it this month.

Taurie - Woohooo, how fantastic! You've been at those same numbers forever, good for you.

Eclipse - well that is one fantastic NSV, congrats!

Rythm - Welcome aboard and good luck on those 10lbs

LTTG - Welcome back, filled with shame or not, glad you're here. And now you've had your break and you can get back at 'er. It's sure a long twisty road this weight loss nonsense. But with some determination we will get it done darn it!

Mmiller - Welcome! Good luck and 13 is very doable and with a trainer to boot.

KattC - Glad you're still chugging along and yes that water bloat post weights is a bit nasty, it would be nice if that weren't the case but then again that would make it easy, lol.

Ok, I'm going to have to break for now and come back for more personals later, that's what happens when I miss like 3 days, OMG!

I'm still good, eating fairly well, I had a late night snack attack on monday or tuesday but it was low fat yogurt and protein powder, lol, oh how times have changed, it used to be cake. But regardless it was unplanned and I'm working on cutting that down cuz it gets out of control fast. Exercise has been good too, lots of weights and running! I did a 6.5miler this week and it was hard but marvelous. I keep reminding myself that the miles will come, it just seems like the 13 miles I used to be able to do is so far off right now.

Ok, here goes another attempt at finishing personals then off to study!

WannabeNurse - Congrats on the quitting! There are a few of us ex-smokers here too and know how hard and rewarding it is, you can do it!!

Sandye - yay for you! Glad to see you checking in and moving in the right direction. This brings me joy

Jessicado - Awesome picture BTW and those progress pics are insane! Oh there are still those little voices that say you could lose 5lbs and all that but I have just been telling them to shut up, lol. And whatever my body can't do on it's own, there's a rocking bathing suit that I'm going to buy that will do the rest for me, nip it and tuck it baby. And yes, it all makes sense, too much sense in fact, there are parts of all of us that really like the weight or we won't do it, it's a battle worth winning for sure. I know I'm still working on it and probably will be for awhile yet.

Knobhdby - That's hilarious, I've never heard artichokes getting someone through a though spot, good for you.

Brittany - Hope you feel better soon and can get back at it, yeha on the weight loss though!

LouisaH - that made me laugh, it's funny and true. It's pretty incredible to have people not recognize you until you talk and then not be able to close their mouths. That's exactly what this board did for me too, I just knew that I wanted it so bad this time that wild horses won't stop me, maybe slow me down but never stop. It's worth every single moment. congrats on the loss too, fantastic.

Nikkie - Welcome and good luck. I'm in there with the firm up goal too.

Freshmanweight - Good luck on the 10lbs and congrats on taking up running.

Cherbear - lol your dogs and you, that's awesome, everybody gets some exercise!

Stillmprovin - congrats on finding us and getting started, good luck!

Woohoo, this is me being done personals! Now I have to go study or there is no trip to Cancun for me, lol, who am I kidding, I'd take a bad grade before not going so I better get moving.

Have a great Friday ladies and hold strong on that weekend.

Default So frustrated!!!!

I have been exercising everyday for the past two weeks, and eating within my calorie range (with weighing and measuring of my portions) and I have lost 1 pound in two weeks. You have got to be kidding me!?!

Yesterday, I over did it on my daily recommended dose of fiber. FIBER! From all the veggies I have been eating.

I am so annoyed and frustrated and I just want to .

But..........

I don't want to eat. Cry, I can do, but I have had no urge to eat this annoyance away... so I guess that's good... right?

Knobhdy: You should focus on the positive side. 1 is much better than 0, and you are on track.

Good afternoon all! I feel like a slacker for not getting on here and doing personals because I intend to everyday, but the time just gets away from me. Anyway, I'm here now and want to just say I'm thrilled to be on day #5 of OP eating. It's been tough. I seem to lose it after a couple days, like 2 good days, 1 not-so-good day over and over. So 5 is like a fantastic break-through.
This morning I was nearly back at my ticker weight. I ended February so badly, I had to make up for it here in early March. Now I just need to lose a couple more pounds and I can get back to WW. It's been a few weeks, since my weight has been on a brief roller coater ride. Thankfully it's hasn't been much more than about a 5 pound water-weight swing, but it's not good to be swinging UP that much!
I'm loving getting back to outdoor running. It's funny, the new running shoes I bought a couple months ago that bothered my one foot so much on the treadmill were totally fine outside on the pavement. Weird, huh? I'm doing just a few miles right now, but it's fantastic. Each week I hope to add a 1/2 mile to my long day and enjoy the progress as it comes. Swimming will be a perfect addition to the plan too. It felt WONDERFUL when I went. It was almost as if I hadn't taken a break from it, which is amazing since it's not a strength of mine. I took my first swim lesson at age 29 to compete in my first triathlon for my 30th b-day (I'm now 33). Now, I feel pretty natural in the water. I'm not fast, but I do alright. Anyway, just sharing some victories since they've been elusive the last month or so. It's a joy to be back in the "game"!

knobhdy-That is super frustrating. I actually went through that about a year ago and it only improved when I took a brief break from intense tracking and attempted to use good judgement and relax a bit. I'm not saying that would necessarily work for you, but hey...at least you lost a pound. I had a month when I lost about 2 pounds. Like 2 2-week long plateaus...that was horrible! On an encouraging note, I found your push-up challenge and it inspired me to do that on my own. I went to the website and am following the plan. I just finished week 1 and HOLY COW! That's tough! So, you've definitely inspired me and I'm sure you've inspired many others too!

aluxa-Nice progress! I'm glad you checked in. Keep taking good care of yourself.

Tummy-Impressive job on the personals! I just give up when I'm that far behind. LOL Yeah, I look forward to getting my weekly miles back up where they were, but I've got loads of time. I only need to run 5K for my triathlon and for the 5K I'll do this spring, so I should register for a 10K for late spring/summer to motivate me to make sure I stay on track adding miles. I need that extra push sometimes!

stillimprovin-Welcome! I'll add you to the list, but first wanted to confirm your water goal. It says 8 oz, but did you mean 80? Just checking.

LE-That sounds like SUCH a fun weekend! We have no plans, but on the upside, I should have no prob staying OP. Enjoy!

Sandye-Those silly girls! I don't know how you do it. Keep up the good work, though! That's excellent to have all these OP eating days under your belt...and heck, I bet that belt is getting looser, huh? The exercise will come in good time as you well know. You're doing it, woman!

NightAngel-Yeah, I'd have to say someone else working out in my house while I'm not would certainly guilt me into exercising even if I didn't feel like it! LOL That's great that she's providing a little extra motivation!

Time for me to get ready to pick up my crazies! Hope everyone has a plan to have a healthy weekend! Do something fun! I'm going to go decide where I'm putting my new veggie garden and flower beds. I'll be sure to check in more this weekend and stay accountable!

Howdy, girls! This looks like a nice group - I'd like to tag along and join you. I lost around 30lbs between May and November of 2009 but have been holding steady since around Thanksgiving. I'd like to get back in the groove. My goal is to lose 4lbs in March!

brittany - glad you're finally feeling better!

ms perception - I'm so impressed by your triathlon plans - wow! I'm a jogger but only around 3 miles 4x/wk.

knobhdy - sounds like you are doing everything right - can you stick it out a few more days? I bet you'll see results in no time!

Afternoon Ladies,

Have a free minute after workout and before studying so I thought I'd drop in and stay caught up! Hard to type, just did chest and back and my arms don't work.

Aluxa - great progress in 5 days, sweeet! Keep us up to date on all that awesome lossing.

Knobhdy - crying is good, it clears water weight But it is endlessly frustrating and I think it is awesome that you don't want to eat, since that's usually the first thing we do, count a victory for the skinny girl within.

MsP - Why thanks, I was feeling delinquent, I mean I'm a veteran here I need to carry my share of the load darn it, lol. I'm proud of you getting back on the op straight and narrow, I'm in the on again off again place myself. I made a little calendar to track all the days I eat only planned food to help motivate me to stop nibbling at everything, I'm 8 out of 10 good days but I am still trying to string together a week. And we sure know the value of consistency, it will be done. I'm committing to 7 days planned food only, are you up for it too? We'll squish the snack monster.

Brittany - So how was the workout? hmmm? Just making sure, lol. have a great week too.

Dancer - They are a marvelous bunch of ladies, and a great way to start the day. Whenever the media talks about people who succeed at weight loss having a great support and community around them I know it too be true first hand. Welcome!

All finished up my workout today, it`s been marvelous doing all this strength training, maybe it was a good thing I hurt myself a little bit, it gave me a chance to diversify.

And speaking of working out, I`m going to get up tomorrow at the crack of dawn and run, I`m just putting it out there because then I have to do it and I haven`t run in the morning since November and the weather is beautiful so it`s time to do it (at least for one day) I`m having trouble working in weights, running and studying if I don`t have an early morning session before dd gets up, so I`ll try it out again and see how it goes.

Alrighty, going to give my arms a break and go read. TTFN
