Evening ladies and congrats to all the loosers and I believe the BSA (bright star award) goes to Sno and Catmint. You're doing aaamazing girls keep it up.
Dustcatcher so sorry things are stalled for you. Sometimes when it won't come off looking at your overall diet picture, sleep patterns and exercise etc. can help find the reason why. Something as simple as getting more sleep or cutting out diet colas, eating more protein, can get things moving. So good luck and hang in there it'll happen eventually.
Welcome Flow and good luck.
Dolly 3 for 3 while fighting the preggy cravings is great. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for one of your aquafit classes. It must be good for some down home humour. I betcha the old gals remember all the important stuff about having babies.
It's been another on track day for me. Exercised in the am with a but busting video, looked after little kids all day(got to be worth some exercise points) light gardening in the evening and a quick walk before the thunderstorm hit us.

Cheers,

Nina

Well I must say I am disapointed in myself I have not been eating as well as I could or exercising, I am the queen of excuses lately. The thing I must realize is I am only hurting myself. As of today I am actually up to 297, its my time of the month so I would guess I am about were I started at 293 so I didnt bother to change my ticker until next weigh in. I really need to motivate....

Well today it is finally going to break into the 90s, summer is officially here I guess...even though we have been very fortunate with the cool weather! Okay so know I am 4/4 on the June challenge. I have found that chocolate pudding is the best snack in the world in the afternoon. Much better than the yogurt and I get my chocolate fix. Water aerobics was cancelled last night because it was raining, no rain tonight so I'll be there.

Default Happy Tuesday!

Hi all:

It is so great to hear from everyone--it is really important to post both your successes and stall weeks. It helps keep you motivated and you can get support from our lovely community!

I am 4/4 and close to 5/5. Everything is going well--the hardest part for me is getting all my water in--today I was super thirsty and have almost drunk it all by lunch time. Exercise was a little challenging because I had a cold. I went shopping today and got some lovely asparagus and raspberries. Yum!

Flow: will lose 30 lbs by Lavor Day
Sockmonkey: will lose 27 lbs by Labor day
Jilly: will lose 30lbs by Labor Day
KT: will lose 17lbs by Labor Day--1 down, 16 to go
Lekiha: will lose 20lbs by Labor Day

Strawberry: will lose 35 lbs by Labor day--9 down 26 to go
Aimin: will lose 15 lbs by Labor Day
Dust: will lose 20 lbs by Labor Day--1 down 19 to go!

Abe: will 25 lbs by Labor Day
Dolly: will gain a max of 25lbs during pregnancy
Luxor: will lose 34 lbs by Labor Day
Barb: will lose 32 lbs by Labor Day--8 down 24 to go!
Sno: will lose 34 lbs by Labor Day--12 down 22 to go!

Flow! Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Jasmine and dust: keep posting and keep trying--I suffered thru two prior challenges where I was on and off my diet and just kept trying and posting--the support of these ladies really helped. (Also going on Nutrisystem has really caused me to lose more weight than any other diet I have been on plus it is easier too.) Dont give up--we are rooting for you!

Lekiha: I had that cold last week--I am still kinda weak from it but able to do my exercise. I think walking even tho I was sick made the cold go away faster--at least that is what my doc told me would happen.

Bleck! Stepped on the scale this morning butt naked and weighed 209.4..that's almost 2 whole pounds more than I weighed two days ago. I guess it's TOM..But it still makes me sad.

Hi Mary;

hang in there--I can bloat up like no tomorrow before TOM--but it is a rude shock to see those numbers on the scale when you have been trying. Keep up the hard work and drink lots of water and it will come off

sno

PS--I had two funny exercise things today--one was I was all set to do my new hip hop abs dvd and I popped it in the player--nothing! All of the dvd's were blank! I called and they are sending new ones but still. Then I went to do my walk and I guess I was walking fast because I went my usual distance for 30 minutes and I looked at the clock and it was only 20 minutes! Sheesh! So I had to walk farther. Oh well.

Good Morning all,

I'm 5/5 so far and still feeling pretty motivated. It would be amazing if I could do 21 days on plan. Things are looking pretty clear on the schedule so I may just do it. It's the social thing that seems to get me everytime.

Hang in there Mary TOM can be such a sabotage. Sometimes I think we should avoid that scale for the week before because I often go of the deep end when the scale isn't kind to me. What ya don't know won't hurt ya or something like that.

To bad about the dvd Sno but 30min walk in 20 is awesome. Means the cardio is improving.

Have a great day all,

Nina

Sno- way to go with the walk! the frustration with the dvd might have helped up your speed

Today I'm going to go for a short run and then to dragonboat practice. I ate really badly yesterday but I worked out so I'm hoping it balances itself out.

Okay last night not too good, I had egg rolls and shrimp fried rice and it was so good. I was just so hungry I ate all of it. Normally I usually eat half and send the other half to work with DH the next day. He eve said I must have been hungry. So I am only 4/5 for June. I did get on the scale this morning and still have only gained 7 pounds so that is good. I had a doctor's appointment today and she was happy with my progress. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat, but couldn't see if it was a boy or a girl. Oh well we get another month of anticipation.

Sno, That's funny about the DVDs, great job about your walking though.

kt, I agree with you that exercise cancels out bad eating. It's just like my diet coke with a McDonald's hamburger.

Well, we had a few more days of sporatic internet connection....of course, it only ever goes down when hubby is asleep or not here LOL (I get so frustrated talking with "those people" ) Anyway, I've been trying.... I did good on Sunday, despite it being a crazy crazy day, so that put me at 3/3 Then I stepped on the scale. I've been doing good. Drinking my water, watching portions, cals & making healthier choices. I've been exercising. Up a pound. I was really expecting it to move the other way. According to my numbers, (cals in vs cals out) I should be down just over 2! I get so frustrated when the scale doesn't agree with my math, because usually it's dead on. But, my dad hasn't been doing so good, so I'm thinking maybe it's stress? And I've been getting like 4 or 5 hours of sleep....

Anyway, I had made a giant cookie for my friend's b-day on Monday, and had some lefterover cookie dough- I planned on making some cookies for the kiddos, but got so mad at myself that I ate it almost a dozen cookies worth of dough...which made me sick to my stomache, but then I couldn't eat my dinner, so I ended up just snacking the rest of the night. so, Monday left me at 3/4

Tuesday I started off bad. Just snacking on kids' breakfast while I was cleaning up, then we went out to lunch, and the kids had pancakes and bacon, which I off course ate more of than they did After that, I did get myself under controll, but still....3/5

Today, I saw a friend and he said I was doing great on my diet. I corrected him, and said I wasn't really and that I am now back to weighing what I did the end of April! He pointed out that 40 pounds are still gone, and insisted he was sticking with his statement that I was doing great. (this is one of the friends who helped me stay on track and LOOSE while in Vegas!)

So, yes, I might have gained back all I lost in May, but I will might end up gaining back a little more before I start losing again, but I will NOT gain back all the 40. I will not yo-yo back to where I started. I will NOT go back to wearing a size 26. My 22s are still fitting fine, so I will wear them with pride. I might not be 250 by my anniversary, but I WILL be 250! I might not meet this goal, but I will do the best I can and I will lose as much as I can and get as close to it as I can!

I've been on track all day, so as long as I can keep focused, I will be 4/6

Sno- you have been doing terrific!!! Great job getting that water in, and on the speed walking! that is awesome

Strawberry- uh oh, a crawling baby? I remember those first crazy days. I'd be used to the baby staying where I left them, then I'd put their shirt on, and turn around to pick up the pants, turn back around and- poof! no baby! LOL they'd be halfway down the hall already Congrats on the weight loss, you are doing great!

Dolly- how exciting to get to hear the heart beat- Is hubby all excited? I know mine *loved* hearing the baby's heartbeat Glad to hear that the dr says things are going well. Hopefully the little one will let you know if it's a boy or a girl soon. Makes deciding on a name MUCH easier

Nina- you are doing FANTASTIC!!!! I hear you about the social situations doing you in, I am trying to limit my social interactions this month LOL

KT: Hang in there! I definately think that exercise will balance out bad eating. Of course it depends on how much of each LOL For me, I can eat as little as possible, and drink as much water as I want, but if I don't exercise, that weight just isnt' going anywhere! (of course, JUST exercising doesn't do it for me either LOL- it's the trifecta) btw, what are dragonboats?

Barbmarie- you are doing great!!! Grats on the loss! I know how frustrating a stall can be, keep it up and maybe next week will bring you a bigger loss!

Jasmine/Sockmonkey- try not to be discouraged. TOM messes with the scales, don't let it mess with your head too! Just put a little * next to this weeks weight, and tell yourself it isn't "official" Hopefully that will work out for ya. (it only works on occasion for me LOL, I have a love/hate relationship with my scale LOL)

I am on again and off again with the exercise. I only wound up doing my crunches and pushups today. Just had no energy after a long night of waking up with the children. I hope tomorrow goes better.

Hi all:

well it was a busy day--I left my day book at the doctors and had to drive back and get it--no way can I be without it.

Did some heavy housework today--moving stuff around and cleaning--worked up a sweat so I will count that as my exercise for the day. 5/5!!

Nina: great job--yes lets do the rest of the month on plan!

KT: great to hear from you more often--what is dragon boat?

Dolly: that doesnt sound too bad--when you talked about staying away from greasy foods I thought you meant like fries and stuff. Yippee on hearing babys heart!

Brigid: wonderful long post--I love it. And way to recover--we arent looking for perfection, just doing our best. And your friend is right--losing all the weight you have lost is a big deal! And stress will definitely keep you from losing.

Lekhiha: being up with the kids is exercise in itself--it can be so tiring. Good job on getting the crunches and pushups done!

Strawberry- LOL too funny about doing your own diet show at home! I used to do that ALL the time! I stopped when my son started telling people I did it... Heehee. then I learned that kids will always find some embarassing story to tell about you at the MOST inappropriate time. Maybe I'll start up my cooking shows again just to give the kids some fodder- pretending to host a food show is much less embarassing than the stories of me doing strange exercise videos LOL

Today is starting out ok. The little one has a cold, so I can't go to the gym today as planned....I think we may walk to pick up the older kids from school if she's feeling a bit better later on (It's just a little runny nose, and is prolly just allergies, but I don't wanna take any chances on getting anyone else sick)

My goal for today is to assemble a new set of drawers for my 4yo...hopefully that will help her keep her clothes IN the drawers (right now she only has 2 drawers, and it's not organized, so everything ends up on the floor when she's looking for her pj's or a specific shirt or whatever...)

Hope you all have a great day!

Hi everyone hope you'r all havin a great day. I'm still on track so 6/6 and going for 7. TOM finally came so I'm hopeful I'll se the scale movin in the right direction on Monday.

Lux hold onto those 40 and don't let them go for anything. Things slide up and down but stickin it out is what works and it sounds like your going to do it and have the attitude to accomplish your goals. Sorry to hear your Dad's havin a rough patch. It can be so heart wrenching to watch them go through this. I was in your boat a couple of years ago wth my own Dad and I'm praying your's gets through it well.

Lekhika doin even a little bit is a good thing and your doing great with your BMI at below 25. My now 13 year old used to wake me until she was almost 9 and I thought it would never end but it does just no consolation right now.

Strawberry good to hear from ya. Kitchen project turnin into a whole house project is quite the job. It's hard to no where to start and stop sometimes but doin the whole house takes the guess work out and it's got to be worth some exercise points.

Dolly you'll be feeling the first little flutter before you know it. This is the only time you'll be able to indulge a little so don't feel tooo guilty. If you decide to breast feed it goes on a little longer.

Well ladies here's to stayin on track,

Cheers,

Nina
