Wow guys..I didn't even remember signing up for this challeneg! Sorry I haven't checked in!!

Well I am on the road to weightloss still, I didn't totally fall off the face of the planet. I have lost 13 pounds of the first 40..and just to clarify the 40 pound goal was total pounds, not just the pounds lost in this time frame (May-Sept). I was 220 when I signed up at 3FC, so my goal for Labor Day is 180. I am not sure if I can make it, but I really hope so!! I will have to work my butt off

Default Welcome back!

Hello ladies--

great to hear from you! You're coming back just in time for May and we have 13.5 weeks until labor day so we have plenty of time to get to know one another and to lose weight together! You both have been very successful so far--tell us your secrets!

so remind us--what are you all doing to achieve your goals?

I am on nutrisystem and really liking it. I am walking 5 days a week and doing calisthenics about 40 minutes 6 days a week. Some of the other challengers were talking about a dvd called hip-hop abs and I ordered it so I may be adding that to my regimen.

Aimin: great to hear from you too! Traveling is always a challenge. But you have been doing great so I know you will do well. I think the secret is doing as much exercise as possible--which is easy during travel because there is usually lots of walking to do. Cant wait to hear how the trip goes when you get back.

Hang in there Jilly! We are all thinking of you.

I am counting calories and trying to work out 4 times a week (which I haven't done in 2 weeks EEEK). I try to keep it between 1400-1600 calories. I have been stalled the last couple of weeks on weightloss, but it is my fault for eating junk and not goin to the gym.

Default Mini challenge!

Hi all:

anyone want to join me in a super mini challenge for June? How about a 100% on plan challenge? We would check in every day, and keep a tally of how many days on plan we have been so far. Like on June 7 we would post 7/7 if we have been totally on plan and 6/7 if we were off one day.

This is a good way for us to really jump start this challenge and get us going for the summer--who is with me?!!!! Lets do it!

Sock--sounds like a sensible plan. I know going to the gym is hard--I mostly work out at home but I do wish I could afford a gym membership.

Take care everyone and keep us posted!

Sno

Hi everyone,

So sorry to hear about your loss Jilly. It is incredibly heart wrenching when you have to make the right decision. I have a mini zoo in my house and never quite get over it when I loose one of my furry or feathered friends. 20 years is in incredible life span for a large dog. You must have really looked after Brownie well.

Aimin good to hear from ya. I'm rediscovering my video library and getting back into TJ because of the time constraint right now with the nice weather and all the extra curricular activities my kids are into. I can get in a 40 min. workout in the am and then work abs after work. I miss the peace of going to the gym but will get back into it in the fall. Have fun in Germany and good luck stayingon plan!!!
Sno I'm up for a June mini challenge complete with daily post. I have nenver gone a whole month on plan but hey there is a first time for everything and I'm camping with a large group the middle of July so would really like to wear a cool new bathing suit.
Strawberry gardening is my Zen activity and I really love organic veggies so when I can grow'm myself it helps with the budget. Fresh herbs are my favorite cause so many of them taste good and have added health benefits.
Sno I grew up on the side of a mountain but in the temperate pacific northwest so gardening was no problem. Where I am now we have incredibly hot summers so I have to get things in the ground ASAP to put out roots before the heat hits. Today its in the 90's with a humidex of 105 and it's only May. Peppers and tomatoes grow like weeds here so I guess I'm lucky.

Mary and Lekhika you both did awesome for oyur May challenge !!!

Dolly how ya feeling??? and good to here from ya.

Cheers ladies,

Nina

Hey Sno I am up for the challenge in June, I really need to get my eating under control. Not the amount of food, I just really need to start making the healthy choices over sugary sweets and fried foods all the time.

Default Super Mini June Challenge!

Hi all:

Strawberry, Nina and Dolly--that is great you wanna do the challenge--I think it will be very individual as to how we want to do it--for example, Strawberry, with her three planned "off" days would still be considered "on plan". Because that is your plan!! And Dolly will be just eating healthy and staying away from grease.

Why don't we start off tomorrow with stating our specific eating and exercise goals for June. That way the plan will be set. This will be fun!

Nina: I think the problem is that I am on the top of the mountain and the wind just scours the ground. I am actually trying to grow some melons in the bowl shaped depression left by our seasonal pond. I figure there will be protection from the wind--not from bunnies tho, I noticed this morning!

Dcapulet: hang in there--part of doing this is weathering stalls!!

Hey!

My secret is that I'm mindful of each bite I put in my mouth and I work out, religiously every morning. Fortunately I have a treadmill so I put in most of my time on that...plus the daily evening walk with the children and my husband.

Truth be told, the total has completely stunned me! I can only hope for a repeat this month!

Snow- count me in for the June challenge. Sounds like just what I need. I will be less tempted to cheat if I have to fess up on a daily basis. Sounds great!

Hey everyone, I've got a dilemma. I realized that the times that I binge and eat disgusting amounts is when I'm with my friends. I seem to be a social eater but I don't know how to stop. Even if we are just hanging around someone's house we (I) end up eating a lot. I plan things that don't involve food but invariably food comes into it. Gah!

Hello everyone!

Things have been crazy around here. First my computer fan goes out, then hubby finally fixes that, and our internet went down for a couple days (on and off, but of course usually off when I had time to log on ) and then one of my hard drives decided that it wanted to unformat itself....

Anyway, I have not been following my plan, since I haven't been able to access the internet to check in here, or to log into FitDay....but I haven't gained. I am holding steady, and since TOM is here, I am hoping I havne't been doing too badly for myself. I hope! LOL

I have also been searching for a house, right now we are living with my dad, and I like being with him right now, but the kids are...well, kids. And they are loud, and active, and with him not feeling well half of the time, I'd like for us to be able to just come over during the time he's feeling up to it. And right now his room is upstairs, but his hip has been hurting more recently (which of course he told me today while we were talking about something else) so for him to go up and down stairs isn't going to work much longer. (They don't want to do radiation on the hip while he's doing chemo) BUT the housing market in southern cali is not really lined up with our finances LOL We just had to buy a new car because our van was having troubles.

Well, I am glad to be back. Hopefully the computer problems are fixed, because we need the rest of our computer budget to fix my son's computer (we've been putting that off for months, but with summer around the corner, he's going to need it for playing his games)

I have to go and get caught up on everything I missed. But I hope everyone is doing well
