Did you know Jamba Juice has some amazing - and low calorie - concoctions? For example, I am currently sucking down Berry Fulfilling, with a flax and fiber boost - 2.5 servings of fruit, 270 calories. And it's COLD and delicious, unlike outside which is 104 and ugh. I won't be making Jamba a regular thing because it's not cheap ($5 for this sucker!) but every now and then, I think it's a great way to enjoy fruit. And they have their calories posted on the menu boards in the store, not just online. I like to patronize places that are nutrition-savvy.

Remind me not to run two days in a row - yesterday's gentle two miler turned into today's two miles from ****. I'm going swimming tomorrow morning - my poor legs need a break!

Loveit - I don't have a sweet tooth (I'm a savory addict) but I do enjoy a square of dark chocolate every night. Knowing that it's there and is better for me than milk chocolate and candy bars makes it easier to resist throughout the day. I buy Ghiradelli squares - they are individually wrapped and one is sufficient to quell cravings. And I keep them in the fridge so they are harder to eat fast!

Mkyice - water retention sucks. And sodium-laden food is the worst because it tastes SO good and yet you know you'll be paying for it for days - at least I certainly do!

Susie - I'm with you on the weight training and cardio mix. I find I don't drop as much weight when I'm heavy on the weight training, but I look and feel better even with the scale not moving as much. For me, it just works to have both in my workout regimen. I'm going to Google the vitamin C thing - I'm very curious!

CorrineIrene - I know you said you're not a fan of running, but if you were - or a fan of anything that involves major strap-down of the boobs - try the Enell bra. It's an Oprah favorite and I know it's been raved about on here in various threads. It's ugly and not cheap but it works brilliantly - trust me, I'm a 36G (yeah, that's four D's if you're counting!) and I wear it for running and horse riding and it works. Congrats on the new jeans - new clothes in smaller sizes are such a great thing!

Hi ladies. Just wanted to check in for mid week. Food has been on plan. Exercise has been killer. Last night I did 1hr30min. Tonight I'm doing 2 hours (1 hr on my own, and the other 1 hr doing yoga with my pt). My weight is up .1kilo this morning. I'm guessing water weight, holding on to my muscles...what do you think? I've had two great nights at the gym in a row and tonight will make my third night. Shouldn't I be seeing the scale drop daily? Or do you think its waiting for me to take a rest day from the gym and then it will drop?

Just a quick check in...down 2 lbs today. Pretty slow loss for me for 10 days, but I guess it could be worse! I've been OP with my calories and exercise since Memorial Day weekend, but I MUST cut out the evening snacking! Way too much sugar.

Well, it looks like I will be done with work tomorrow after all...yay! Will be offline for a couple days while camping, so I will catch up with you guys later

So, I made it to the track this afternoon. I didn't go this morning; the weather wasn't nice and I was feeling lazy. I am sooo glad I went, aside from getting the much needed exercise, I jogged an entire mile! and I did it jogging faster than I walk(I usually jog about the same speed or just a smidge faster than I walk)! I am so excited. I have never in my entire life (even when I was at a healthy weight) jogged an entire mile.

I hope everyone else is having a great day too!

Good Morning Ladies!! Just checking in before I head off to work.

Today was my weigh in day, but I forgot. Today is my first day at work and I guess this morning I was still half asleep when I got up. I remembered it was weigh in day while I was eating my breakfast!! So I guess tomorrow will have to be weigh in day.

Yesterday was another OP day, I didnt get any exercise in but I did work at my per diem job for 8 hrs. I am a medical assistant so I am on my feet for most of the day and when I got home I just didnt have it in me to hop on the elliptical.

Im glad to hear everyone is doing great!! Keep up the good work ladies!!

Loveit - your weight fluctuates daily due to water usually. it's totally normal. It's a great tool, but you have to be able to look at the trends over a long period of time to see how successful you are. I go by monthly when I look at my weight loss, even though I weigh daily.

Mykice - good job making it to the track and big grats on the mile! I haven't jogged a mile since high school lol

MissMae - good luck on your weigh in tomorrow

I've been in a very reflective mood today. Looking back over my journey and seeing how far I've come. Like the Virginia Slims commercial used to say...I've come a long way baby. I looked at my blog and saw how focused I was the last post (Valentines Day) I'm so not good at daily, weekly or monthly blogging. Where I was then...trying to get in the dress my husband gave me on our Anniversary in November. It was way too small then but now it's gotten loose. When I wore out on our date I had on a girdle so the jiggles wouldn't speak to people now I can wear it without a girdle and it barely touches my body. How cool is that? I usually try it on every month on the 14th too see my progress.

I don't think it would have been possible without the support of you ladies. You all have cheered me on and encouraged me. I wish I could hug each of you but since I can't for everyone!!

I'm going to holla at everyone as best as I can this afternoon because I'm going to the Zumba class today during lunch. I will let you all know how that goes. I told my husband if it goes well, I will want to buy the video. I'm very excited!! I looks like a good workout but fun. I love dancing.

Good morning ladies! I haven't been able to post anything in a few days, but I have been trying to keep up with everyone's progress. I mentioned it last week and want to say it again - you all are a huge help to keep me motivated. When I log in here and see how hard you all are working, it makes me want to do even better. Thank you

I am down 2lbs since last week, so I'm right on track to make my 10lb loss by July 4th.

Hope you all have a great (OP) day!

Miss Mae: I am looking forward to hearing about your weigh in! I'll bet you're going to do great!

Shan: I'm a total believer that your body holds onto weight when you're working out heavily. I always take it easy (or take the day off) the day before my weigh in.

Jiggle: I'd love to try Zumba too, it looks like lots of fun. Our podunk gym doesn't have classes like that. You HAVE come a long way Baby! I remember when I started in Feb, you were one of the first connections I made because we're so similar in our ages, sizes and goals. Look what we've accomplished! I'm proud of us!

AJ: I'm glad you've joined us too! 3FC and these CC chicks in particular have been a huge part of my success! If you don't mind my asking, what size are you wearing right now? I'm 5'4" and you're currently at my (phase two) goal weight.

MKYICE: Hooray for you jogging a whole mile! I can't imagine doing that - but I will one day and when I do, I want alot of congratulations LOL! So here is my hat off to you!!! Yayyyy!

I need to get off my bootie and get on the TM while the baby is asleep. I'll tell y'all more about my shopping trip later. It was sooooo fun! I just wish I would have had some of y'all along with me. My baby boy didn't get very excited when I slid size 12 shorts and capris right on! He didn't cheer for me when I had to take the size L shirt back to the rack and get a size M!! I cheered for me, though LOL!

Ok, off to sweat!

Loveit - it doesn't impact my weight loss because I count it in my calorie allowance, plus a single square is, I believe, 60 calories - of course check that before you eat! But I factor in a lot of things that I know will make my eating plan more pleasant - dark chocolate, chocolate milk (Over the Moon makes a fat free chocolate milk that is amazing), chips (I personally prefer baked over regular)... The beauty of calorie counting is nothing is off limits - you just have to count it!

Default More info on the Vitamin C thing

I found this article and this little tidbit that explains the Vitamin C thing a little more.

"But one thing is very clear from the research – if you have higher levels of vitamin C in your blood you’ll burn fat at a faster rate when you exercise.

It’s all to do with the relationship between vitamin C and L-carnitine apparently. Carnitine is important in carrying energy to the heart of each cell in the body. Vitamin C is vital for the production of carnitine so not getting enough vitamin C will deplete your energy levels and cause your body to store fat in your muscles."

Well the Zumba class was fantastic. I was sweating and having major fun. I can see doing that everyday and getting results. I want the videos now.

Susie - Thanks for the Vitamin C info, I'm getting in enough with the strawberries and broccoli I eat and drink everyday. How was the shopping trip. I wish I could have gone with you too. I would have been screaming with you. My daughter doesn't cheer for me when she and I go shopping. She just kinda looks at me like I have gone bananas when I'm jumping around the dressing room... on the size 12!! I'm on my way to meet you down there!!
AJ - 2lbs...lets celebrate.
Love - I was going to ask you what plan you were on to see if you were counting calories because my vice is chips and ice cream. If I find some good ice cream that's less than 150 cals I eat it and count it. I'm with Jules - Nothing is off limits and you can't go over if you track everything that passes your lips. I think it has been why I've been so successful, I don't feel restricted. Oh I stay away from chips because that slope is too slippery for me.
Lori - I have mad love for you. I was reading over the response to the in the house walking you sent and wanted to make sure my understanding is correct. You walk around on the inside of the house for 40 minutes...right. Are you walking fast?
