Well... vacation was a disaster on the weight spectrum... though I've only gone back up two lbs... and I'm now back on track... going to make dinner for the family tomorrow (Apricot Chicken), and I made myself a berry smoothie... YUMMY.

So yeah... still can't seem to eat ENOUGH calories. Why is that? I'm currently at 630 calories... and I still have dinner... but I probably won't eat a ton at dinner.

Oh well... I'll figure it out and hopefully by the time I reach this goal I'm going at a very attainable calorie count. Not all over the place like I have been.

Well I have not been sticking to my healthy eating yesterday and today. I am holding quite a bit of water weight. I hate the feeling of being weighed down. I seem to be in this eat everything I see mood. Gotta stop now! Hubby wants to go to a chinese restaurant on Monday, I don't know if I should go. I will gain even more weight which I don't need right now. I have to lose this water weight first, chinese is really high in sodium. I'm in this rut that i can't get out of and it has to stop now or all my hard work will have been for nothing.

I've been slacking on checking in here. Congrats everyone who has stayed on plan and keep pushing to those feeling discouraged! We can all do this!

SO, today was my final day of Slim in 6. I weighed in before my exercise, but that was a bad idea- the scale said 140.2! So, I weighed again after my exercise and it said 138 again- phew!

That means no weight loss in the final week, which is odd to me- BUT tomorrow is my official weight in day and I know I'm holding in a lot of water, so we'll see if tomorrow is any different.

My (tentative) final results from Slim in 6 are:

Weight loss of 15 pounds (as of now-we'll see tomorrow)

Waist inches lost: 4.5"
Hips inches: 5"
Right mid-thigh: 4"
Left mid-thigh: 4.5"
Right arm: .75"
Left arm: .5"

For a total of 19.25" lost!!!!! Wow...really, wow. I didn't measure my chest before (or today) but I'm certain I've lost a band size- not a cup though.

I'm so excited- at first I was really bummed that the scale didn't budge from 138, but I did push my arms a lot harder this week and had some extra sodium- but hey, 15 pounds is a LOT and I'm now very positive. I'll have to really push hard to make the last 6 pounds for this challenge...but after this, I'm feeling up to it!

Whewww! I finally got my 188 back and I know this time it is for real. That was nearly a month of limbo.

I woke up feeling thinner this morning, do y'all ever do that? So I hopped on the Psycho bathroom scale and it went down 1.5 pounds! So I thought, "Ok, I'll go do an early WiiFit weigh in." I was sooooooo excited I got 188.0! So, I'm .5 lighter than my lightest! And (TMI alert) I even need to poop! I may have seen 187 if I'd waited LOL!

I know I shouldn't be so obsessed with seeing 185 before the cruise, but it sure would be nice. If I don't, I know I'll be super close.

Off to start my day (a litte late, we all slept till 7 this morning for some reason!)

Wow CorinneIrene! That's a huge loss! Did you start the Slim in 6 from ground zero, no prior dieting, no prior exercise? Those are awesome results.

Proud of you girl!

Default We can do this, we can, we can, we can!!

Ok, July 4 buddies, we've still got 3 1/2 weeks of this challenge. Let's keep our eyes on our goals but make a new start every morning, just focusing on doing our best for today and we'll worry about tomorrow . . . tomorrow!

Fruit: I hope you can find your happy/balance place soon. I wish I had wisdom to share with you. I want you to be able to enjoy eating out with your hubby without worrying so much.

llmw: I love those dark choc. berries! They're full of antioxidants and if you're able to keep a handle on your portion and just stick to one portion, they're wonderful! I'm not a big chocolate person, so I don't have trouble eating just the small portion. Now, if there were any way on God's earth that donuts could be considered an antioxidant . . .LOL. I've been craving a donut like mad!

Serbrider: I had that problem about three weeks in, of not being able to get enough calories in. If you like avacados, that is a great way to boost your calories with healthy stuff. Try not to go too low, or your progress will slow down.

Lori: We DO miss you when you're not on much. You're like our leader - a huge inspiration! I was just looking at your pix again yesterday and was thinking, "I'll bet your hot rocker lookin' hubby feels like he's gotten a whole new wife!"

Farnnnnnnn!! Where are you? I miss hearing from you as much, still working a ton??

Ok, gotta run, y'all. Well, not literally - hee hee. I'll talk with you later!

I posted a while back about starting to calorie count and got sidetracked until June 1. But I am CCing (about 1400 a day). Right now I'm experimenting with different nutrient ratios to see how I feel best. I did a low fat raw vegan diet (I'm vegan so this wasn't too much of a stretch for me) for a week and lost 4 pounds but my calorie count was about 1250 per day, which is probably why. I was starving all the time and although I like fruit (which I was eating all day until the evening when I would have a big salad with avocado or nuts and some dried fruit) I don't like it so much that I can eat it all day for a long period of time .

I did a few days of a low fat high carb (good carbs only) eating and it was OK but didn't really find my stride with it. For the next 4 days I'm changing up the ratios a bit to do more protein, more fat, and less carbs (not low carb, but moderate carbs). I actually lost 35 pounds a few years back eating a low carb diet, but I was a meat eater then and doing a very strict low carb diet (1200 calories a day, 20 gr of carbs or less a day) and I don't want to do that again. But I think that upping my protein (from about 40-50 gr a day to about 80) is going to make a big difference.

Today's planned menu:
Morning: tehina dip with celery, tomatoes, and baby carrots; 2 slices sprouted grain bread with apple butter
Mid-Morning: protein shake made from rice protein powder, tofu, and soy milk
Afternoon: Cauliflower and mushroom and tofu saute with lemon juice and olives; cherries
Evening: salad with avocado, Fiber One cereal to much on and 1 oz vegan dark chocolate chips (my one indulgence)

Exercise: didn't take a walk this morning because I woke up with a MASSIVE migraine (which is not, thank goodness, gone!) but hoping to do a Leslie Sansome walking DVD later on today)

Default It"s A Great Day

Today was my off day. I was thinking I would spend my day ALONE to run errands and go workout. Well my husband was off so he was running around with me. It was cool though. We went to my friend's condo and used the fitness center. I did two miles on the treadmill and did some lifting; chest, back and arms. It was a great workout. The staff trainer was there and I asked him some questions. He gave me some good information. I should be making some good progress in the next three weeks. Some of the workouts he gave me, I had never seen or heard of but I'm looking forward to doing them.
Susie - We are going to do this. We are going to reach these goals. I think all the progress so far no matter what is has been physical or mental, they are good.
Farn - Hope you are having fun at work since you have been there so much.
Misspriss -I love the dress. You look wonderful!!! DO IT GIRLIE!!
Corinne - That is absolutely fabulous for a six week program.
Okay ladies we are going to keep going, no getting off the bandwagon for anything. We are going to be the hottest chicks on the 4th of July in whatever way we celebrate it. Keep in mind why you started this journey, focus on it and stay with the plan!!
