misspriss- your dress is so cute! Thanks again everyone for all your support. I'm back on track today. I didn't even reach 1000 cal. I threw the junkie food away and some I gave to my mom. I'm looking forward to a fresh start, so i couldn't wait to get it out of the house. As long as I don't have it in my system, i am fine without it. I'll go through a withdrawl for a few days, yes it is like a drug to me, but once I'm past that point i think it will be much easier. Good luck to everyone!
fruitlady I use to In what I call the "old days" Or the "Old Me" Would eat a reesecup daily sometimes 2 or 3 or those 4 pack ones LOL which was same as 2 packs!~Plus little debbie cakes all day long & chips & all that good non healthy crap!LOL~Just pass the junk food up in the stores & it will be outta your system before u know it ~I PROMISE~Cause I have been there! Oh & If ya get a craving Find something similair low calorie such as sugar free pudding(70 calories) or fudge bars Icecream ~the ones in our save alot store are only 100 calories~that way u still have a junk food type snack but A low calorie one~Cause we are human eventually we may cave & if ya do be prepared with low calorie snacks! HUGS!!! U CAN DO IT! U Skinny Little lady u! I always brag on u! U LOOK FABULOUS!
It felt weird waking up and not having to jump right into exercise. I think tomorrow I'll start the day off with one of her shorter bonus work-outs. I was still 138 this morning. I think I may play with my calorie amounts a bit because I have been doing a lot of activity- I think I'll raise it by 100 or so and see where that gets me by mid-week.
I had a huge breakfast this morning and am still feeling stuffed. I think the calorie total was somewhere around 720! Man, my stomach is not used to be stretched that far in such a short period of time! I had a huge whole grain bagel with an egg and a piece of cheese which doesn't sound like much, but I mean huge when I say huge bagel, haha. It was delicious though and not all that unhealthy- just a lot of calories so I'm skipping lunch (which I have no problem with because I'm not in the least bit hungry!)
I know I shouldn't do that to my metabolism, but it sounded like a nice breakfast treat, haha.
Fruitlady- Glad to hear you're back on track! We all fall off the horse a bit sometimes- and you got right back on, and quickly! Congrats!
Lori- You're such an inspiration! Congrats on being so close to maintenance! You're fabulous.
Jiggle- Sounds awesome that you have some new material to work with! Glad to hear you're staying well. And thanks for the motivation!!
Tammay- Sounds like a delicious meal plan! I too am experimenting with nutrients and calorie levels- it's all an individual thing. I think I'm doing well with high protein- I have a lot of muscle under my jiggly bits. I think protein is really helpful in keeping one satisfied.
Farn- Good to see you around!
Misspriss- Beautiful dress! You look wonderful.
Susie- I've always been a relatively active person, but I did pretty much start Slim in 6 without doing anything prior- The morning I decided to really start it, I was eating mini reese's cups for breakfast and decided that enough was enough. It really eases you in because it's in 3 phases. The dieting was a lot easier than I thought it would be- in the past I've always struggled with my cravings but I quit a lot cold turkey and haven't had many problems. I've learned to use my will power successfully! Thank you!! I'm looking forward to keeping it off! And I can definitely related to the feeling thinner when I wake up- this morning was an I feel fat day though, haha. But I love waking up and just knowing, you know?
MissMae- Congrats on the loss!
Alrighty, Hi to anyone I've missed!! I've got to run off to work now. Yay! (not.)

Thanks Corinne and Lori, I do have to have a plan to back me up if I want a treat. Ice cream is a downfall for me in the summer, so is peanut butter. I thought if I must have ice cream, I will have to go to the store and get one of those small single serve cups of the low fat stuff. I'm not keeping a half gallon in my freezer, that would be a disaster for me. As for the peanut butter, I have no clue how to replace that, it's just so delicious. I'm not keeping that here either.
My two days of binging really did a number on my weight! I'm still gaining from it and it was two days ago. It's so discouraging when your sticking to the plan for two days and you keep gaining. I had 1050 cal. today, that's good, maybe I'll see a loss tomorrow!
Susie - thanks for the vitamin C links. Funnily enough, I actually use a vitamin C serum as part of my skin care routine - a couple of dermatologists I know recommended it. I wonder if that seeps through to my metabolism somehow? Seriously, I need to check my daily multi-vit (that I frequently do not take daily) and see what levels of vit. C it has - maybe I need a separate supplement for that.
As for me - it turned into another crazy week at work, but thank goodness that's nearly over. Today and through Monday are supposed to be "cool" here - which in the relative terms of the Las Vegas summer means it won't go too far above 90 during the day. Which is good! I didn't work out this morning but I did clean the downstairs of my house before I came to work (two hours housework before 7am is just wrong!), so I worked up a sweat. This weekend, I'm spending both days at a local casino that has a large horse arena - one of my favorite clinicians is in town so my mother and I are going to see all the demos and get some advice on training our spoiled and sometimes unruly horses! Then Sunday night I fly to SoCal for four days to teach some of our staff, which I always enjoy doing. Luckily I found my gym has a branch directly opposite the office, and I've already scoped out several places in the mall food court I can eat (Rubios, Subway, Panda Express) so I'm set for the week!
Well... despite my struggles with never having consistency (in my day, not necessarily in WHAT I'm eating) and having that end up leaving me with 300-500 calorie defecits from what my GOAL calorie count is (1000 something vs 1500-1600), I am losing. No surprise there. I feel great... except for the times when I'm literally dancing on the spot because the 16 oz water bottle just ran right through me...
I'm currently at 212.4 (and this was two hours after breakfast and 32 oz of water). Will check for "real" tomorrow morning.
I am also trying to introduce more grains and new foods into my diet... not unhealthy things... healthy things... but things that would give me a higher calorie count at the end of the day.
WHEW!! They got their money's worth out of me at work today. I was so busy I couldn't check in and then they took the network down for maintenance so I was stuck!! Anywho, I've had a great on plan day.
Serbrider - How do you come up so short on calories. I need that secret because I'm always on the edge with no room for error. Jules - You sound excited about the trip to the casino. I would like to go to see the mall and gym...take pics!! Fruitlady - Hope it's a good loss. Just run from the junk food isle in the store. I have to run past the chips!! Corinne - Sounds like a HUGEMUNGUS bagel. Where did you get it...wanna make sure I don't go to the same place. Lori - I'm going to be doing the walk through the house in a little bit. I'm excited to see how I feel after it's over!! Misspriss - He told me to train like a sprinter just don't sprint but use my body as the machine, if I use machines to lift-no sitting on the machine. He demonstrated proper lunges and pull ups, walking around with weights lifted above my head while stretching. He was telling me no matter what I do cardio wise when I strength train I need to keep my whole body engaged. He showed me some different exercises to do to accomplish that. All that from the question, what could I add to my work out to get rid of the fat on my triceps!! He told me that my body decides what fat leaves first so my body transforms the way it does based on how my body decides. Which is why is was so important to engage my entire body when toning. It was almost like yoga weight lifting!! I'm excited about getting to the pull ups. He was saying not to start at the times he gave me but work my way up to doing reps for 45 secs as opposed to sets of 12-15 reps. So all of it will be fresh to my body and I expect to loose lots of inches. He was saying if I keep eating 1400 calories with the cardio I should maximize my mass loss. (You asked...It was a lot)
Well gotta go because it's bedtime for the little girl. If I'm not too tired after my workout I'll let you all know how I like it.

How do you end up eating ENOUGH??? I'm either on one extreme (stuffing my face for literally hours on end) or the other (feeling content and full on hardly anything).
I guess it's that I eat more fruits and veggies than I do anything else... I don't like meat... so that helps some... *shrugs* I dunno.
On for a quick sec~Jiggle just remember I did build myself up to those 45 minutes 2x's a day ~I started out at 15 minutes 3 x's a day then upped it to 30 mintues 2 times a day then 45 2x's ~So If ya get tired just add as much as u can cause I was I walking 45 mintues within about 3 to 4 weeks so it make take awhile to build up to that much but then again may not.. HUGS! But I have been doing it so long sometimes I walk an hour & Go over without thinking~HUGS*! I AM PROUD OF U BY THE WAY!LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!
Corinne~Aint u a sweety? THANKS!!! YOUR FABULOUS TOO! HUGS*
Wow, being offline for 2 days really put me behind in the chatter! Sounds like most of you are having a good week (or at least getting back on track if you're not!).
Our camping trip was rainy, but we had fun anyway. Stayed pretty well OP, went a little over on calories, but got a few short walks in between the raindrops,..so I think I was pretty close overall.
Going to be on the road next week, so will probably weigh in Sunday before we leave. Summer is going to be a challenge not being on my usual routine with work...but I will keep checking in with you guys for inspiration
I just finished my house walk. It was a great workout. I didn't do it last night because I laid down with my daughter to put her to bed and fell asleep before she did. So I guess I was really tired. Lori - That was a good idea!! Tell your hubby thanks for me. I don't have as much space as you do so I added some weights on a couple of "laps", up and down the stairs twice when I got to them, jumping jacks, running in place and incline push ups. I lasted 30 minutes and I was proud of myself. Thanks!! Serbrider - Maybe that's it the fruit, veggies and no meat. I eat plenty of fruit, not as much veggies and I do eat meat. I'm going to the farmer's market today and will see what I can add to my fruit and veggie arsenal. Northern - I hate it rained on your camping trip but glad you had fun. Sounds like serious campers, cause I would have been packing up to come home because of the rain.
Well off to start my day before the family gets up. I want to start my errands before it gets hecka hot. I think it's supposed to get up to 95 and I don't do the heat like that. I'll check in later...you all keep me focused.
Let's hit it today...no excuses. We have two weeks left so lets drop some pounds and inches. Get to those goals and make ourselves proud!! Remember "NO PAIN NO SEXY"!! You know you want to be sexy...I do!!

Had a good day here. I mowed the grass and did a lot of housework. My hubby comes home (again) tomorrow. At least he'll be here for a few weeks, maybe a bit more (if the next conference gets cancelled) before he has to travel again. Tomorrow is also my weigh day. I hope I see a loss.
Sorry I don't have time to do individual responses, but I am checking in between rounds of games with the kids on the wii fit.
Jiggle- It was huge! I wouldn't worry about avoiding it though- it's a local place that I go to to get my bagels. I had to guesstimate on calories with it, but I think it was probably 350-400 calories, haha. I normally would only have half, but I couldn't help it! I hate the heat too- 95...I'd be dying! It's gotten a bit chilly here again after some unseasonably warm temps. Good for you for starting your day off early! I woke up early with that intention and did get some laundry done, but now I'm just lounging before work, heehee.
Northern- I'm glad you had a good time camping, despite the rain. I can't WAIT to go camping this year, I'm chomping at the bit. I put in my time off request at work yesterday, hopefully it goes through! And if we all stick together, summer won't be a huge challenge!
Lori- Thanks! You really are an inspiration!
Serb- I hear you about being on one extreme or the other. I've been struggling with getting my calories just right, too. I have a kind of fear of food, knowing how easily I over do it. But I just keep my head high and come up with healthy options to get my calories in. Maybe adding some nuts/other proteins will help? They have more calories and fill you up- maybe you could have a fruit and nut snack during the day? Congrats on losing and feeling great, by the way!
Jules- Sounds like a fun weekend! Ugh, I can't imagine thinking that anything under 90 is "cool", haha. I prefer 75 and breezy. Not very heat tolerant here! We had a few days up over 90 hear and it was brutal.
Soooo...I haven't exercised since completing Slim in 6 on Thursday. I was planning on it this morning but my allergy pill makes me so tired I could barely drag myself out of bed. Tomorrow I'll do some cardio and ab work, methinks. I may hop on the treadmill before bed tonight, too, if I'm not too tired. I had a nutri-grain bar for breakfast that didn't entirely satisfy me, so I made a bad decision and had a bag of popcorn, haha. Really, I don't see any problem with popcorn- I think it's a healthy snack and I hate the really buttery kind- I had the Smartpop Kettle corn which I love. But I still had two servings...heehee. I plan on being very good the rest of the day!
Last night I had a slice of cheesecake. Very naughty. And I may have one today as well, if I'm not careful about the willpower! MUST RESIST! I had had a salad for dinner, but only ate half because it was one of those prepackaged ones and I didn't like the dressing. So, in order to up my cals, I had a plain hamburger to replace what I missed (no bun or anything, just the meat). I told myself I could have a small piece of cheesecake which I had with a dollop of soy whip- the soy whip was good! It had a nice nutty flavor to it. ANYWAYS, I'm beating myself up over this, but at least it didn't kick off a binge. I haven't binged in over 6 weeks- which is a HUGE accomplishment for me!
Anyways- I always seem to write a novel. I'm getting a little scared that we only have three weeks left in this challenge and I still need to lose 6 pounds. I have to really ramp it up! I really need to keep this two pounds a week thing going!

I would love to eat 1400 calories a day...man, if i could get my calories that low i would be sure to start losing weight. Mind over matter right. I can do it. Sounds like he gave you some excellent advice.
Hello to everyone. TOM started for me today so im glad to get it and then get it over with I will check in later when i get more time for some personals. Hugs to everyone...
Irene-I hear ya on the 2 lbs a week thing...I'm starting to get a little nervous, espeically for next week...we're going to a workshop where they feed us all week (great for the pocketbook, but difficult to keep track of calories!) They do keep us active and moving the whole time though, so I hope that helps make up for the extra/miscalculated calories a bit!
Jiggle: I should probably confess that we're not exactly roughing it in a tent when we camp. The other night we snuggled in the RV with a movie and had the heat cranked while we listened to the cold drizzle outside We did get caught in the rain a little when we were out fishing, but at least we didn't have a cold tent to go back to!
Well, I'm going to try to have a great OP day for weigh in tomorrow before we're gone for a week. Last weigh in was just this past Tuesday, so I'm not expecting a huge loss...but need a benchmark to see how I do next week.
